Marc Romboy

Marc Romboy has been a driving force in electronic music for over three decades. While trends come and go, he has forged his own path, blending techno, house, and neo-classical with unmatched integrity. His music has appeared on the world’s most respected imprints, including Innervisions, Cocoon, Ovum, Filth On Acid, Kompakt, Bedrock, and his own influential Systematic Recordings. In 2025, he joined Carl Cox and Christopher Coe’s Awesome Soundwave for the release of Music Made For Aliens, his first club album in 15 years, and premiered a brand-new live show at Ultra Miamias part of Carl Cox Invites. Marc’s journey began in Mönchengladbach when, at just eight years old, he bought his first Kraftwerk record. By the end of the ’80s, he was immersed in the acid house scene, debuting behind the decks in 1989. Soon after, he released Monotraxx Vol. 1 on Sapho and co-founded Le Petit Prince, signing artists like Microwave Prince, Phuture, Marc et Claude and Emmanuel Top. In 2004 Marc established Systematic Recordings, home to his own acclaimed albums Gemini and Contrast, as well as landmark releases from Stephan Bodzin, Robert Owens, Rodriguez Jr., KiNK and Blake Baxter. His collaborations span from Bodzin and Ken Ishii to John Digweed and Nick Muir, underscoring his status as one of electronic music’s true innovators. Renowned for his live shows, Marc has performed worldwide at Berghain Berlin, Rex Club, Womb Tokyo, Awakenings, Wembley Arena, Tomorrowland and most recently Ultra Miami. With his signature Monome sequencer, he creates music in real time, making every set a unique and unrepeatable experience.
