Although the two Christoph’s had known each other for decades from the family of artists at the Luna Club in Kiel, their musical paths only came together much later. A few years later, with their shared passion for camping, etc. at Fourth Lake, they nailed it and began jamming and recording sound sequences together. Field recordings, mainly from nature, were brought together in numerous studio sessions with synthesizer elements, carefully selected samples and self-recorded instrument tracks. The result is their debut album, which bears the name of their project - fourthlake. With deep UK-inspired bass elements and breakbeats, with which Christoph Vogel already shone in his Drum’n’Bass productions, and the certain deep note that Christoph Rutsch was known for during his residency at Luna, the mix is complete. With the Empore sub-label called Facetten, the two have found the right platform to conquer more than just the chill-floors not only as a producer, but also as a live act at future events.
