DJ Shog

DJ Shog was a prominent German trance DJ and producer who became a central figure in the European dance music scene during the early 2000s. The stage name “Shog" is an acronym of his real name Sven HOlger Greiner. Known for his signature melodic and uplifting trance style, he achieved significant chart success and was a long-time contributor to the influential Dream Dance compilation series. His breakthrough came in 2001 with the single "This Is My Sound," which charted in both Germany and the UK. Throughout the 2000s, DJ Shog released several high-charting tracks, including "Another World”, “Live 4 Music" and “Running Water”. Sadly he unexpectedly passed away in December 2022 at the age of 46. The dance music community remember him for his ability to fuse catchy, euphoric melodies with energetic rhythms, a signature sound that helped define the German trance movement.
