Dustin Santana aka Subctrl, originated in Guadalajara, Mexico, at the beginning of the 2000s. Influenced by the fascinating "french touch" on the radio and the lasting impression of micro house when MUTEK appear live at FIL in 2003.He began playing with Luis Rodriguez, aka RDHS, at local parties with a Korg ES-1 sampler and a PC, merging a live act / DJ Set with Tech-House and Techno, which led them to visit cities, parties and local bars like F.Bolko, Liberec, Acne, and Ucán.This is how he got to know and create important friendships with Bar Kabaret, Neuman K, Franky Fresco, which together form the collective Panoramika, an important part of Guadalajara's scene, providing masterly nights in places like Aposento, Casa Libertad, and Bar Antonios.It is from this journey that the current Nivel Media project emerged, with Tech House as the primordial genre. With Victor Muñoz aka MVNOZ as a musical companion, this project has begun to form an important part of the scene, with dates at the Kaleidoscope Festival at the ITESO university as well as the warm up for the presentation of Tijuana Sound Machine (creators of the de Nortec Collective), Bar Americas, and La Mezcaleria in Ajijic as well as making appearances in private parties, delighting people with their energetic sets to create an incessant dance experience.With the group, Low Mute, he has played at venues such as Black Cherry, La Santa, C3, and Bar Animé with local artists like Luis Flores, Alejandro Dávila, Jorge HM as well as international artists like Zombies in Miami, Climbers, Taylor Freels aka Urulu.Subctrl has 2 Eps with 400 DELSUR and continues to work on new music, expressing, searching and pushing towards new sounds.
