Igor Carmo is a Lisbon-born artist whose journey through music spans over two decades. Growing up in Portugal’s capital, his early years were shaped by skate culture, late-night gatherings with friends, and an ever-present soundtrack of vinyl, tapes, and CDs. This deep-rooted passion for music quickly evolved into a calling, laying the foundation for his career behind the decks. After relocating to the UK, Igor established himself within the electronic music scene, gaining international recognition after winning a Mixmag & Ministry of Sound competition. This milestone led to a five-year tour with Ministry of Sound, where he performed alongside some of the industry’s biggest names, gracing renowned clubs and stages across the globe. Rooted in house music, Igor’s sound has matured alongside his experience. What began as a connection to New York and Chicago House house mainly Defected records Sound has evolved into a refined blend of progressive, minimal, deep tech, and organic sounds, now the true signature of his artistic identity. His productions have been released on respected labels, including Nervous Records, Natura Viva, Magna Recordings marking his continued growth as both a DJ and producer. In 2026, Igor enters an exciting new chapter with the release of a new EP on Germany’s Lucid Flow Records, already gaining strong support from tastemakers such as Jaguar on BBC Introducing and Also support for Legend John Digweed on his weekly radio show. Beyond the studio and stage, Igor is also the founder of Alma Electronica, a Birmingham-based event brand dedicated to forward-thinking electronic music and immersive dancefloor experiences. With a constantly evolving sound and a deep-rooted passion for his craft, Igor Carmo continues to push forward, shaping his own path while connecting audiences worldwide through music.
