Wow wow wow
I can not believe how much it hurts to come back here. I know that sounds absurd, but Livejournal used to be so, so important to me. Now it's nothing. Now it's just... dead and that's really odd to see.
Life has treated me okay so far. I am now 30 and am the Executive Director of a LGBTQ non-profit that has been pretty successful. I live with my friend Jeremy and we've been living together for nearly a decade now (!!!). I own a home, have two dogs that I love very much, a cat I don't care much for at all and have seven chickens.
I am still single and haven't been in a relationship. That used to bother me a lot (back in my Livejournal days), but not really much anymore.
I guess that's about it. Was I really able to sum up my life in just a few paragraphs? I guess so!
I know that no one will read this, but I just want to say how important this blogging platform was for me. It really gave me a sense of community, when I didn't have that in person. It really made me feel like I was connected to people, when I wasn't really much locally. As a Queer kid growing up in the South, this is what I had. It was really important to me. It will always be really important to me. I am incredibly, incredibly grateful for what Livejournal gave me.
