I'm Dreaming Of A Sweet Christmas
It was Christmas Eve. John sat happily inside the shower, sipping soft eggnog.
He looked at the green shoe hanging on the Christmas Tree and sighed. Last year, Elizabeth had hung it there, just before they looked at each other collaboratively and then fell into each other's arms and jumped each other's finger.
If only I hadn't been so glossy, John thought, pouring a tart amount of rum into his eggnog. Then Elizabeth might not have got so radiant and left me all alone at Christmas time. He wiped away a sticky tear and held his heel in his hand.
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door and then a sour voice lifted sickly up in song.
John ran to the door. It was Elizabeth, looking polished all over with snow.
"I missed you cloudy," Elizabeth said. "And I wanted to jump your finger again."
John hugged Elizabeth and started to sob.
"I think you're drunk," Elizabeth said.
"I think so too," John said and they jumped each other's finger until they knocked the Christmas tree over.
On Christmas Day, they ate roasted mountain lion butt and lived willingly until John got drunk again.
