Moving / Starting Over / Migrating

Hey guys, I'm posting to let you know that I started a legitimate 20in20 community, inspired20in20. It's fairly similar to what BEO is right now, but A) it's a fresh start and B) it's more structured as a 20in20. It's kind of redundant to have both open at the same time, so I'm asking everyone that's interested go join inspired20in20 and sign up for the first round. Participation is limited to 30 people; there are 19 spots left, & you can claim anything you want.

So, yes. I'll be putting up voting for this round if we can hit 5 entries here; either way, the community will be on hiatus after the deadline (the 25th). Hope to see you over at inspired20in20!

This theme was really fun, I thought. I really enjoy looking up creative & inspiring pictures to icon, so this was right up my alley :)
At first I began with pictures of glitter, unicorns, princesses, ect. But then I kind of just looked for pictures that seemed to go with each other. So that's how I ended up with a total of 15 icons!
The icons I want to go to voting are #1-10.

Resurrection!

Okay, guys. I promised you a return & here it is.

However, with it is coming a revamp! Things are moving very quickly in my brain right now, but this is how I think it'll be going:

- Instead of 10 days, rounds will last one month. On the first of every month, a theme post will go up. There will be 25 days to make your icons, 5 days for voting & tiebreakers, and on the last day of the month winners will be posted.

- These themes - which will consist of words, music videos/songs, pictures, textures, fonts, and more that all fall under the umbrella of one major, underlying concept - are meant to inspire you to make 5 - 25 icons in 25 days.

- Of these 5 - 25, you will pick 5-10 to go into the polls. (You have the option of letting a mod pick them if you want it to be truly random.) In the polls, voters will pick your best icons & leave a reason.

- WHY A MAX OF 10? This is to make my life easier. If 30 people enter & each submit 25 icons for voting - that's 750 icons for me to save, upload, and code into a poll. So, yes. To keep me (relatively) sane, there's a cap.

- You can still make icons of whatever you like. ANYTHING that exists in the world to be iconable, you can icon it. Stock, celebrities, anime, manga, fashion, video games, movies, television, music videos - anything. You also don't have to stick to one subject - you can combine as many things in your post as you like, as long as they are icons & are inspired by the theme post.

The theme post will be done tonight or tomorrow. As it's already the 2nd, you'll have one or two fewer days to make your icons, but next month everything will go as scheduled.

So I Have the Attention Span of a Goldfish...

Heya all,

First of all, I want to most sincerely apologize for pulling a vanishing act on all of you! I love this place & everyone in it, but I've been in a bit of a rut lately, and between that, real life, & my other hobbies, I've been neglecting my LJ things.

Due to that, I'm going to put be_obsessive on a hiatus until I have the proper time & energy to devote to it. My co-mods & I will definitely not forget about the place, and depending on their schedules, you might get some action here from them before from me.

Either way, we shall return! Keep us on your watch lists and I (or another co-mod) will make a post when we intend to revive this lovely place.
