I have claimed a prompt at inception_bang.

I have two essays, a final exam (after the test I took today), and all my packing for school ahead of me in the next week.

One of these essays is for the class that wanted me to take Jersey Shore as a serious cultural example. Guess which class I don't give a shit about?!

I might sign up for a GameFly account so I can have my Photobucket bandwidth back. I'd split it up with all my friends so we'd only each have to pay a dollar a month, or we'd trade of paying each month in a rotation. I've already gotten two people to say yes, which means I might be taking my PS2 to college with me.

It's gotten to the point where the difference between reading my flist and reading my FB timeline is sometimes negligible. Not even close to possible two years ago. I love it.

Tell me about your life!

Hey, so, I've been spending ALL my time at the kink_meme recently. Which is all well and good, because I LOVE it and it's full of puppies and rainbows and things.

But I kind of feel like I'm missing out on other parts of fandom? I joined a lot of comms, but I don't have time to read anything (partly because I'm lazy, partly because I'm juggling about eleven things right now in preparation for school).

So...I hate to ask this of my flist, usually, because I feel I should be PROACTIVE! and SELF-RELIANT! and actually dip my toes into fandom itself, but this is kind of like that, right?

Basically, I need recs.

I honestly don't even care about the pairing (I'm kind of an across-the-board shipper), as long as the story is really good or insanely funny.

Also, I'm starting on Rosetta Stone for British English and French. _{The latter might be because of JGL wait, what who said that?}

But I figure outside of my crazy, it's a good skill to have, and I know Spanish pretty well and my friend wants to brush up on hers and, uh...yeah. I'm not a psycho, I swear.

Oh Across the Universe ♥ I don't know why I don't have more icons of this movie, but the whole film is just so beautiful. There really isn't any plot but the cinematography more than makes up for it (not to mention the music and *coughJimandJoecough*). I ship Jude/Lucy so hard.

This is my happy place icon. Peter is so adorable and cute, and though I know he's just acting, and he got kind of frustrated with how people kept mistaking him for his character...I still love him. I just want to hug him and pat him on the head and tell him he can wear the bunny suit if he wants to because he's a special snowflake.

BRIIIIIICK. If you weren't aware of one of the main reasons why I'm so goddamn obsessed with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, GO WATCH THIS MOVIE. Seriously, it's one of the first movies I watched where the stylization and writing just completely blew me away.

Are we absolutely certain that the Glee cast twitter accounts are valid? Because they're not certified. I want proof of purchase.

Also, my dear friend safebehindteeth linked me to two of the greatest things ever. This and this mean that I will never again lack for the lulz. The first one is now my background.

For all the friends I may or may not make (I'm still waiting to hear back from some of you), howdy! I'm kind of just getting back to posting on LJ since Twitter took over my life, but I've been here for a while. My profile says a lot about my favorite movies, shows and people men. I'm currently in a musical phase, which means lots of Glee, Mickey Rooney/Judy Garland pictures and humming while I walk. Enjoy it, one day I'll go back to comics book heroes and wanting to see things blown up.

Does anyone know of any really good biographies of George Harrison? I know some must exist, and I could search for them myself, but I'd feel a lot more comfortable with a solid recommendation.

Pretty much life hates me because I was halfway through writing up Sunday (after writing ALL of Saturday) and through some mishap I delete the entire entry. LJ chooses then to autosave. So basically, I'm screwed and I'm gonna have to write up a not-so-awesome second draft which I hate doing since it's never as good as the first.

Also, I've been putting off making updates because I wanted to write about Comic Con first, but I guess that's not going to happen. So? Pimpage. Pimpage all the way.

In the past week I have joined:
whedonland (I haven't been sorted yet, but hopefully I'll be an Active.)
wholand (Go Team UNIT! There are five members on our team, all the others have at least ten. FML.)

I'm also considering spnland but I'm not sure.

P.S. And please please PLEASE if you have any songs to contribute, post them to lookbacksongs. I REALLY don't want that comm to die because it could potentially be my happy place.

So, do you guys want my write-up of Comic-Con first or the pictures? Because there are a LOT of pictures, and to save you guys all from bandwith hell I might just split those up into two posts (one with celebrities, one without). You can already get my experience of the first day over at ibroketuesday's journal. The only things I did not do with those two was going to the TRS panel (EEEEEEEE! I know I'm the only one on my flish who cares, but I WILL SQUEE GODDAMMIT) and going to the Doctor Who panel instead of the Supernatural one. I HAS AMAZING SPOILERS THAT YOU'VE PROBABLY ALREADY HEARD. I do however have an awesome, awesome Heroes panel story so maybe I'll just pick and choose my favorite moments. I don't know, I've never done this before!

Keep in mind that all my photos of celebrities are both ridiculous and well-shot (IISM).

Well, I'm totally dressing up like Luna Lovegood tonight and acting the idiot. It shouldn't be that hard XD I'm pretty excited but I know that my costume is going to suck and I'm not totally sure what the plans are. I see silly pictures in my future.

Speaking of the plans, are any of you DW peeps out there going to Comic-Con? Any of you camping out? I'm trying to gauge if a) I will have to camp out in order to see the panel and b) if any of you would mind camping out with me if that happens? I'm generally going to be with cookie_simone and ibroketuesday but they're not going to that panel so IDK if what I'm going to do. Also, there's a late TRS panel that I'm DYING to go to but that's neither here nor there since I can't really do anything about it until we get there.

I'm not sure if I want The Beatles to beat out Dylan and Sinatra on last.fm :/ Speaking of, I finally got my iPod (it's silver!) and a hot pink metal cover and it's awesome awesome awesome. I'm so glad I have my music back with me. As sad as it is, it was hard to leave the house because I'd always want to listen to music.

Funny story: This morning I was walking with my mom and I got her talking about her 20 favorites, and then I got home and started on my Dad on his. My dad was less successful but my mom wrote down her Top and now I'm making a mix CD. We overlap quite a bit which is funny since my dad's favorite is Fool On the Hill and that one barely registered to me. Also, my parents have a friend coming over tonight who is apparently way into the Beatles, so maybe I can get more of an interesting conversation out of him.

Okay, now I REALLY need a Beatles icon, but I don't want to give any of mine up D:

Would anyone be interested in Let It Be...Naked? I think it's the reason I have so many songs from that album up there. Never mind I uploaded it, and you all better damn enjoy it because it's fantastic.
