    Carsten Pieper thumbnail
Carsten Pieper Good to see, that Bandcamp is becoming a platform of choice for the great Richard Thompson, one of my all time favourite guitarists/singer-songwriters. Fitting the pandemic situation, but of course not unusual for this brilliant, witty artist, this is an acoustic, almost solo set, spanning his entire career. Favorite track: Crazy Man Michael.

timfrombattle I’ve been a fan since Mr Costello recorded a version of Withered And Died in 84. Since then I’ve bought everything and seen him play many times, most memorably in a tent on a car park in Brighton created by flattening a few street of Victorian terraced houses, which in itself would be an ideal topic for a RT song. Watching him play live on his settee while I sat in bed with my laptop on my knees was a surreal but reassuring experience during those early days of lockdown. More power to his el

Gedfan DCD have still got it. Not sure if Lisa is on it, but marvellous voice and track from Brendan. More next month....thank you.
    Antithetical thumbnail
Antithetical I love these synth sounds, and Brendan's voice sounds wonderful here. Overall the sound reminds me of Brendan's second solo alb, Ark. The lyrics have taken a dark turn but revisit themes found in "Song of the Dispossessed."

Thomas Callahan Been wowed by Fire Tools since the pandemic. Love everything I’ve heard. Have a special place in my heart for two songs, both done featuring Sling Beam, one on this album. One is my favorite song on this album, the other is a Rush cover. Favorite track: Pleasant Valley Magic Cube Of Holiness.
