RJ Perhaps their most approachable album to date. The additional and different clean vocals are a great fit! If you are not familiar with our plant loving, hammered dulcimer playing, eclectic friends that are Botanist, this may be a great place to start, and if you enjoy this I would encourage you to explore their dense back catalog. 7/10 Favorite track: Archaeamphora.

pinkytheent A true evolution! The hard flowerbud of denser and more labyrinthine records has opened up in the radiant hot sunshine. The dark green understory has opened up and we are now an ancient pine basking in the colorful light. The clean vocals are a perfect fit for the subtle vibe of this record – they add to the glowing aura of the melodies. Pleasing fae melodies dance with ugly dissonances, painting what feels like a true portrait of the floral struggle to survive. My favorite Botanist record yet? Favorite track: Magnolia.

Runa K Blackened thrashy hardcore. This album is very very cool and fun. I love the vibes and Caro's vocals. It was cool to hear this after hearing Rheia because I got to see where they came from initially. This is a great debut LP from a great female-fronted metal band. <3 Love from Ohio USA Favorite track: Fate Is High.

commandersideburns Beautiful connection between the vinyl (splatter brown/black/clear), cover art, and music. Great multi-element harmonizing there. PEACE Favorite track: Hierophant.

A D R I A N N E The guitar solo over the image of a volcano erupting in the video for Origin is my favorite thing ever. Favorite track: Origin.

Chris Emery Incredibly good live show at Temples Festival (Bristol) 2014. For me this album edges the follow up Eros / Anteros - it's raw, focused and I'm fine with the short running time - there's no filler whatsoever. Superb Favorite track: Glimpse Of The Unseen.
