Michael I love Patterns! Good EP to listen to, waiting my copy of the vinyl still!
    grant horwood thumbnail
grant horwood a slab of pub rock, in the vein of 'eddie and the hot rods' version 1, deep fried in a lo-fi dance punk batter. danceable for those sufficiently committed to dancing.
all four track strong. Favorite track: Dirty Hands.

    Bradley Parker thumbnail
Bradley Parker Beautiful new songs, beautiful redone old songs. So many of the expressive sections sound so great with the texture and scale of real big band instruments. This version of "I Know"s latter half is so electric I feel so alive hearing it. wonderful way to experience familiar songs Favorite track: I Know.
    Toxic Al thumbnail
Toxic Al There's a lot going on here! Intricate arrangements, complicated harmonies, high levels of groove, and an aggressive energy - but all within a context that you can groove out and sing along to. I found out about Genevieve Artadi through her excellent work with Louis Cole, who I found out about through HIS excellent work with Thundercat. So glad to have stumbled onto these superhumans! Favorite track: Life Exploder.
    squareape thumbnail
squareape This is a quality recording combined with a naturalistic production. Vocals sound clear and detailed. The band plays well rehearsed and with confident improv. Sometimes I wish Louis would have opened up the drum sound in a big band setting as his playing has aspects of buddy. Great composition selection and tasteful singing! Favorite track: From Avalanche.

Gavin Hellyer Another part of this project's extensive dedication to the works of the truly great Julius Eastman, whose legend and status as one of America's major composers grows expidentially with the passing of each and every year. Favorite track: Evil Nigger.
