    Tim thumbnail
Tim Some of the finest, clearest compositions for octet ensembles. From the very beginning of Spirit Splitter, I'm hooked.
    Giles thumbnail
Giles The tunes are fun and joyful, but also super-smart and beautifully detailed. Everyone in this band is fantastic, but I think each member contributes some of the best playing I've heard from them on this particular album. Easy to get into, plus massive depths to savour. Favorite track: Away With You (no. 55).
    Michael Zucker thumbnail
Michael Zucker Truly awesome album with a ton of great themes and some impressive playing Favorite track: Inky Ribbons (no. 53).
    John Cratchley thumbnail
John Cratchley This feels so assured...it's so satisfying to see Mary develop out her thoughts for a larger ensemble...miss at your peril, I think...

itisyamibiitch Badass EP fellas. Glad i'm from Missouri lol Favorite track: Equal In Measure.
    brantly thumbnail
brantly Incorporating influences from Brandon Butler's insanely undervalued post-Boys Life band, Canyon, with some math-rock Tom Petty, which a comparison I've never used before, but it's a really cool amalgamation of several separate genres. It is less of an extension of where Boy's Life left off back in '96, & more a new direction, it is still imbued with a specific BL sound, even if it's a cry from 'Lister' era BL, it's still rad. and stoically lonely; like last call bells & East Coast lighthouses. Favorite track: Always.
    Christopher Shaffer thumbnail
Christopher Shaffer Phenomenal start to finish. What I get out of music might be entirely different than what anyone else reading this does. My own life’s experiences and journey shape my relationship with music. This is such beautiful Americana. I swing a hammer for a living. This record, for me, is about who we were and who we’ve become, for the good and the bad. Favorite track: Ordinary War.
