sagov adventurous music with a distinct concept and expert rendition and interplay with the band members.Edgy and warm in equipoise .
    Favorite track: Night Shift.
    mic122 thumbnail
mic122 "Belladonna" and "Amaryllis" are 2 very inventive albums that can not leave indifferent and arouse a healthy musical curiosity. The sound and compositions are of rare originality drawing their inspiration from jazz and classical music. To discover urgently!!
    CirdecSongs (Cedric Hendrix) thumbnail
CirdecSongs (Cedric Hendrix) You had me at Mary and Jacob Garchik, who’s another favorite. For a minute, I thought Mary was gonna play it (relatively)straight with her compositions. I should’ve known better. Mary remains a creative driving force for jazz’s next generation. Favorite track: Night Shift.
    Guitar Noire thumbnail
Guitar Noire Is this groove 10/8 meter? Anyway, sounds cool! Looking forward to the whole album! Favorite track: Night Shift.

John Cratchley Over the intervening decades since this recording I’ve heard a lot of bands try to emulate the Soft Machine blueprint…none have successfully managed it, I think.
    So, unique and irreplaceable…
I remember them live as loud, unpredictable, exciting and consistent with immense musicianship. This particular gig is vintage with the short-lived quintet.
    Dustin Wall thumbnail
Dustin Wall Awesome snapshot of the 1970 quintet, with Lyn adding some unique layers. The CD is worth the effort and this is a really specific time and place for the band heading into Third. Great notes from Aymeric. Favorite track: Eamonn Andrews.
