Jeremy / HI54LOFI First, press the 'Play' button. Digging the vibe? Ok, now look at how many songs there are in this collection + look at the 'pay what you like' price tag. You know what to do next. Favorite track: Oracle Ablaze.
    Lost Tribe Sound thumbnail
Lost Tribe Sound For those intimidated by Caleb R.K.'s massive catalog this album is great starting point. I use to think øjeRum was the most prolific artist I'd seen, but Caleb may have him beat. Well luckily everything this guy does is solid. On a shoestring budget, no fancy studios, full orchestras, or celebrity musicians he manages to create weary pseudo-western landscapes that are incredibly compelling and authentic. It's what the Red Dead Redemption II OST wishes it could have been. Favorite track: Fire Mountain.

meadowkamagica I love albums that create unique mythologies and transport you into their world. 'Cosmic Folklore' is a beautiful, richly detailed spiritual experience that is clearly dear to the creators. With this record, Crooked Mouth assert themselves as one of the finest acts in contemporary dark/neofolk. Favorite track: When the Sun Married the Moon.
    Ghuughra thumbnail
Ghuughra Nefarious Eastern Bloc folk. First step into a darker world. Favorite track: When the Sun Married the Moon.
    Harold N’Hiver thumbnail
Harold N’Hiver This is a transcendent record. Absolutely sublime, and I haven’t stopped listening to it since it came out.

There is something definitely of this world about it, but it has the feel of something that speaks from a place of the unknown, of a gorgeous place beyond what we humans know, in our ever-limited scope and imagination.

In a word, this is magic.

    SDXN thumbnail
SDXN A wonderful collaboration between artists at the vanguard of ambient music. Especially satisfying to hear Visible Cloaks' futuristic sound design colliding with blissful figures synonymous with the Japanese ambient sound of the late 80s and early 90s. Essential! Favorite track: Toi.
