Dave Aftandilian I feel a sense of both deep isolation and buoyant freedom in this music. It beautifully expresses the feeling of looking out onto the snowy landscape, or up into the leaden sky pregnant with snowflakes, and wondering if you are the only person in the world seeing this. Yet as I watch longer, seeing the shimmering snowflakes suspended in midair, reflecting the light of the stars, and hear the hushed silence all around, I feel like I am floating free of all my earthly cares.
