Giz Satanic Scum Punks is a perfectly timed half hour of satanic anarchy. They reek of booze, they howl like rabid stray dogs and they spit their invective over everyone. They roll around in the muck and come up grinning with a fistful of shockingly excellent songs they pulled from somewhere I’d rather not know. Spike knuckled punk and filthy raw black metal rolled into one ball of utter filth.

Scott Spiers Heavy Space Psych! 20-minute songs! Violin, guitars and synths! It's like the Mahavishnu Orchestra on 'ludes. These dudes from Glasgow know how to put you in a trance with the grooves and induce a heavy episode of synesthesia as you taste the colors and feel the sounds. Grab your best set of headphones, kick back and go on a deep trip without the aid of psychoactives. I really don't think you need any other "assistance." Favorite track: Space Mountain.

Logen Ninefingers A new line up & a new label, Scottish space-void lurkers Cosmic Dead return from whatever dimension they were last heard from, with a new lease of life. 'Navigator' is doomier, the addition of fiddle gives a Nik Turner-esque flourish, as the track morphs into a percussive-laden jam of fuzz, trance and then catharsis. 'Space Mountain' is epic in scope too, where synth, fiddle and guitar fight it out over a juggernaut groove, that's intent on gaining speed until the sound barrier is broken. Favorite track: Navigator #9.
