  1. 5 a day

polyharmony Thank you Loraine for this magic.

I was so sad to have missed you when you came to Sydney (Eora) in June, 5 a day is keeping me going until the stars align and I can witness your performance one day...

The transience of 5 a day feels so special. Shiny and wistful, all the tracks give me something to long for - shared visions of peace in a turbulent world.. Favorite track: Fruit 3.

    All that you want
    just do not forget
    To hold close those you
    love
And know that alll that you do
    all that you create
    All that you say
    All that you run away
    From is
    All that you are
    But a reflection of forever
and the space we all share
    We are forever together

Michael Mueller What a remarkable album this is. Elements of Glass and Reich with deftly disturbing elements of Penderecki, but with the sonority of the saxophone taking these elements into startling new places.

The quality of the playing is astounding, in that the connection between the players is so intuitive it is as though it's the work of one mind. Beauty, hope, fear and chaos endlessly revolving.

This swirling, heady brew is definitely one of my albums of year. Favorite track: Green of Winter: I..
    adam rea thumbnail
adam rea Battle Trance continues to expand its atmospheric and harmonic worlds with complete precision and absolute success. Highly recommended..
    davidskeist thumbnail
davidskeist This music holds multitudes. It absorbs you utterly and takes you into the universe and back. Sublime and beautiful, intoxicating like Lou Reed’s Metal Machine Music or Reich’s Music for 18 but with a vocabulary totally it’s own. Structured, intuitive, playful, frightening, sexy. Should be listened to in one full sitting (or standing and dancing). The first time I heard it I was actually driving from New York to Boston and that was a great way to listen too.
