John Cratchley The Necks: In my view, the best working trio of musicians on the planet...
This may be the darkest album they have made (and it may well purposely induce the audio equivalent of Vertigo) but I would venture to say that it is one of the finest pieces of music I have ever heard...
Chris,Tony and Lloyd are very, very special and important artists in my listening diaspora and their music has been life sustaining (both figuratively and practically) for me over a long period of time...but here,I think, they have produced something of great artistic and spiritual value.
Please, please listen to this...it may just fundamentally change the way you hear music and order your senses.

DAS VILLAIN Pre-, during, and post-SWANS, Jarboe is "the artist's artist". Her music is both cerebral and delicate; insidious and beautiful; passionate and disquieting. Sacrificial Cake is the companion to Drainland (by Michael Gira) and indirectly related to Swans' The Great Annihilator that's a dangerously sultry cacophony of folk, industrial, neo-classical, downtempo, and experimental didacticism. Favorite track: My Buried Child.

ghosttropics While I'm not sure if this is intended, each pair of False Aralia releases seem to balance each other out in a way that seems meticulously planned out, as if they are meant to be listened to together. This latest batch really drives home my suspicions, the first track on here seeming a direct continuation the abstract, aquatic swirls at the end of Vehicular, before more substantial beats slowly emerge like pockets of air surfacing from deep caverns.
