    panterath thumbnail
panterath There's a lot of dungeon synth music out there, but this album truly takes itself into a league of it's own. You'll immediately get swept away by the music and sent into a beautiful fantasy world. Truly a gem like no other! Favorite track: Alban Arthan.

    YearningForMountainSolitude thumbnail
YearningForMountainSolitude I adore all of Malfet's work, but Dolorous Gard is notably bountiful in movement with a developed atmosphere. Perfectly balanced, offering melodies rich with nostalgia of the Arthurian legend vignette, Dolorous Gard will carry you into battle and soothe your wounds just as well. Pure enchantment, as with all of Malfet's past and present mastery of synthwork! Favorite track: The Perilous Beauty of Loss.
    ___Jaguar thumbnail
___Jaguar A stirring and ethereal experience. The works of Tolkien and Mallory are combined into a beautiful album that will be hard to surpass any time soon. Tracks 5-8 make up a fluid 16 minute experience. The last song is peace, beauty, and teary-eyed melancholia made manifest. Should this ever come back out on vinyl or cassette, I would buy it in a heartbeat. Favorite track: Molly Enthroned.
    Greigh VonGottreich thumbnail
Greigh VonGottreich The sounds, music, and atmosphere of previous battles are strong in this album. Loving the style presented here and also loving the tone note signature of Malfet across the board.

    The vinyl sounds massively amazing.

Side note: love the hand written note with every vinyl album purchased thus far. Looking forward to collecting more in the future.

doive After a first joint venture with the unfathomably talented MIDNIGHT ODYSSEY and a starter LP which I just realised hadn't been in my radar's reach until now, TF returns with a conceptual album of seizable finesse and ambition. Martial and overwhelming this is a trailblazer that will stand the course of time 🎶

200lbgoblin hell yeah. this is dark, heavy, and rips Favorite track: Part VI.
    Meatbreak thumbnail
Meatbreak The ominously foreboding passage of slow-motion, granite dense melodies made iconic by the mighty Ghoëst are found here in form subverted further by bristling murmuring noise and a melancholic hostility ; where Ghoëst conjured visions of landscapes and misty castles, the soundscapes of Gravfrost are the aftermath of terrible scenes that the mind can only begin to depict.

A sublime interpretation of the dungeon doom environment, and one of my favourite releases to have encountered this year. Favorite track: Part VII.

Gilgareth We are listening to a true master at work: Gravfrost has released a majestic album full of magnificent harmonies, dense atmosphere, and truly epic gloom drawn straight from the depths. With great anticipation we await what is sure to become one of the great tape releases of the year. Rarely has the Abyss sounded so vast and sublime. Guillaume P. Trépanier I don't know how Vukkeg can sound so raw and so well mixed and balanced at the same time. That's the magic of this artist. Epic, dark and powerful new track!

thromgard I envisioned a late 80s medieval bloodbath movie while listening to this. So yeah, it’s damn good!

    weltschmerz1349 thumbnail
