Xtra Happy Dark and oppressive (no shit it's a Swans album) but with a comforting (yet still very icy) enough touch that you *just* about get lulled into a false sense of security. Maybe akin to an inescapable nightmare featuring a family member or close friend acting...not as you know them.

Everything before this is a bit too blunt for my tastes; I feel like CoD is when Swans start to properly expand and branch outwards, and you can really hear that with Jarboe's contributions becoming more incorporated. Favorite track: Children of God.

The Laughing Stock If you're planning on getting into swans, this is definitely a good album to start with. very accessible and very spiritual. Takes you to a whole nother world man Favorite track: Beautiful Child.
