Nqobani T Unlike all their previous releases, this is the first ATW album that had to grow on me, not sure why. It’s a really good album, not just a collection of songs. Favorite track: The Welterweight.

Wheels of Mercury I've been a casual fan of Ashbringer for a long time now, and this might be one of their best albums to date and quite possibly an early AOTY candidate for me. "Send Him to the Lake" is such a fantastic song, with freakin' killer riffs! Favorite track: Send Him to the Lake.

Kodanshi Helcarver The digital album is available for free, but do these guys a solid: give them some money for their efforts. It’s worth it! Terrific album. Favorite track: Fleeing into Portals.

MarsDragoner While translocation spells are prone to misfire, I am glad this one hit the mark exceptionally well. The first song already sets the stage for a journey through ruins, glades, swamps and regal cities seeped in primordial magick. The textures of the instruments are warm and enveloping, the songwriting highly satisfying and befitting of the picturesque song titles. Adventurous and competent record telling of realms deep within imagination's reign. Favorite track: Vo Mimbre, Queen of Cities.
