  1. II
    by Arcade Messiah
    supported by

Stéphane Gallay Si votre préférence va vers du prog moderne et du post-rock. Je ne connaissais pas le premier, ce deuxième album d’Arcade Messiah éveille mon intérêt pour ce groupe. Favorite track: Black Dice Maze.
    Zhakathoom thumbnail
Zhakathoom Thanks to fellow instrumental-loving metalhead Shoshanna I too have hit the jackpot and found instrumental salvation with the Arcade Messiah.

Great stuff. Favorite track: Fourth Quarter.
    Michael Reilly thumbnail
Michael Reilly An excellent follow-up to the first AM album, 'II' features plenty of hard rock/metal moments that will please any fan of talented guitar playing. The CD bonus track is a soaring epic (with vocals) that, in my opinion, makes the physical disc a must buy. Favorite track: Moon Signal.

    anglis thumbnail
anglis At the start i was expecting something faster and heavier, however it is slower, proggy, melodic, very slightly doom metal and it is a very nice addition to my music collection and I enjoy this album a lot. Favorite track: Your Best Line Of Defence Is Obscurity.
    Jason Renslow thumbnail
Jason Renslow Instrumental prog with a stoner doom undertone. Tune in and tune out. This music makes me want to be creative. Favorite track: Roman Resolution.
    Michael Reilly thumbnail
Michael Reilly This great album of heavy post-rock instrumentals somehow passed me by – but for no longer! This is some seriously inventive stuff, jammed full of hard rock goodness with added influences from wider sources. Crank it up. Favorite track: Your Best Line Of Defence Is Obscurity.

  3. Sweet Nothings
    by Plini

    finn3g4n thumbnail
finn3g4n just got into plini this year after one of my friends told me about handmade cities. this music rocks so hard. highly recommend.
    Erkadur thumbnail
Erkadur This is a "classic" EP in the progressive metal/rock scene (per usual with Plini lol). I come back to Plini's works often to "scratch that itch." As Sincerely would say, this is good stuff! :)

If you like guitar-centric instrumental music at all, then pick up as much Plini as you can, listen, "drift away" or "focus" and enjoy for years to come! :D

For Fans of Intervals, Sithu Aye, Scale The Summit, Animals As Leaders, CHON, Polyphia, etc. Favorite track: Tarred & Feathered.

RJ Plini can do no wrong. Plini has done no wrong. 8/10 Favorite track: Tarred & Feathered.

  5. Subsume
    by Cloudkicker
    supported by
    katsumashi thumbnail
katsumashi blackwing is still my favourite cloudkicker release but subsume sure is up there. I think I prefer the original to the remaster honestly (it's been a while though, I'll have to listen again soon) Favorite track: A weather front was stalled out in the Pacific--like a lonely person, lost in thought, oblivious of time..
    charkoal thumbnail
charkoal he would be riding on the subway is fucking amazing. favourite song of all time
the opening groove is too good. Favorite track: He would be riding on the subway or writing formulas on the blackboard or having a meal or (as now) sitting and talking to someone across a table, and it would envelop him like a soundless tsunami..
    Oliver Juan thumbnail
Oliver Juan Just look at the song titles, and tell me this is not some deep psychological album reflecting the artist's mind. It has honesty, intensity, it's well polished and unless you have no memories, it will bring you back to some nice episodes of your life, whether you like it or not. Favorite track: You could laugh forever but never end up happy..
