Biography

Stuart Moats served in the U.S. Air Force from 2008 to 2013. He earned an associate degree from the Community College of the Air Force, a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland Global Campus, and a graduate degree from Naval Postgraduate School. His career experience includes working as a business owner.[1]

Note: Moats withdrew his candidacy on April 22, 2026. His running mate, Heather Hill, was disqualified from the race because she no longer had a lieutenant gubernatorial candidate on her ticket. Both candidates still appeared on the ballot in the Republican primary. Votes for Hill and Moats were not counted.[2][3]
