A link to every piece of writing posted to balloonhat, from most recent to oldest (under its heading). Some entries are F-locked (unfinished stuff, WIPs, revisions, etc.), but most (submitted LJ contest entries) aren't; unless noted otherwise, it's probably a raw (unedited) first draft. For your enjoyment and my embarrassment, I even included links to the stuff I posted here from back in '04. They've been marked as REALLY OLD WRITING, so please do not judge me for their quality. I didn't start writing again until late 2008.

As far as I know, all links lead to the appropriate entry. Let me know if that's not the case, if something broke, or if you found a gremlin creeping around that needs squashing.

I'm always talking about how I'm a big fan of webcomics, but I notice I haven't really talked about any (aside from inklings of my own) here or anywhere. I haven't talked about webcomics since 2004, apparently! Well, that ends here.

One thing: a handful of these are not safe for work and have been marked as such. Currently I do not mark comics as NSFW if they illustrate naked anatomy sometimes or passionate kissing. Also, I've yet to go through to put trigger warnings (if there are any) - working on it.

I am on the fence about how this tiny short ends, but oh my gosh how adorable is Batgirl? Megasuperwhammy adorable, that is how much.

One final down, three more to go!

Have been down and out for the last couple days due to a viral infection of some kind. (Originally I thought it was food poisoning, but my 102 fever said otherwise.) Tomorrow, I pick up D from LAX airport, and I will be mostly gone from the internet until next Tuesday.

Some things:

HuffPo: LGBT Leadership: Split Hairs and Burnt Bodies, about the lack of support for transgendered people, even within LGBT groups.

Petition to protest Russia's proposed bill to make it illegal to write or talk about LGT issues: "Political leaders in St. Petersburg are about to vote on law that will make it illegal for any person to write a book, publish an article or speak in public about being gay, lesbian or transgender. The ruling party led by President Medvedev and Prime Minister Putin could make millions of people invisible with the stroke of a pen."

The Muppets did a cover of Cee Lo Green's "Fuck You". Sung by the chickens.
