I've posted about this before but back home at my old job I used to get pho so fucking often that the owners of the place stopped asking me what I wanted and stopped handing me menus when I walked in. After I moved to NY and I could only go back to Chicago like once a year, I sat down and they gave me a menu and I was like "Oh no I already know what I want, can I get--" and they were like OHHH #36 WITH EXTRA NOODLES YOU'RE BACK and I almost cried

do you folks think that Murderbot is watching its media on an accelerated speed?? x2, x10, maybe even x50 -- it probably has the processing speed for that!

I think it does, bc with having a mind that's significantly faster than a human's, consuming information on human speed might be boring. and this would obv allow it to consume more media faster! but maybe it doesn't do that, bc then the emotional impact is not as big or smth, or maybe bc MB actually wants to stretch its media for longer, especially while it was still stuck with the company and was very bored

the only relevant canon line I can remember is "It’s downloaded seven hundred hours of entertainment programming since we landed" from ASR. 700h is not that much (~29 earth-days), but also MB might have had thousands of hours already in its storage, so it's hard to judge. let me know if I'm missing anything else from canon!

I was interested in this question too, and also in which episodes of Sanctuary Moon Murderbot mentions

My conclusion is that since it canonically takes an hour to watch an episode of Sancturay Moon [Platform Decay] it watches at 1x

The stupid sporting event was the reason this zone was so quiet, which would make it a good place to hide out for seven episodes of Sanctuary Moon. I mean seven hours. Yeah, no, no, not doing that.

The current list of numbered episodes is:

1, 44, 121 (on repeat), 132, 172, 174, 179, 206, 206, 206, 237, 241, 256, 317, 397 and 487

Bringing the numbered episodes up to sixteen (16).

The highest numbered episode 487, presumably the “most recent” episode, was mentioned in Platform Decay

murderbot I think it’s like humans? I watch it normal the first time and u can rewatch it faster or skip bits any time after using SM episodes as a unit of measurement is so funny I MEAN SEVEN HOURS.
