Hello, everyone!

Just dropping by to say that we have a new layout. I'd had a few complaints about the past one (not showing locked entries, images displaying weird sizes), and I'm sorry that it took me so long to find and customize a new one. I think this one solves those problems; you can see the "lock" symbol next to locked entries and pictures seem to be displaying normally, so I hope this works for everyone! Again, please accept my apologies that it took me so long to fix the issue.

If you have any problems with the current layout, please don't hesitate to contact me or yomimashou! We really want this community to be a comfortable, useable, safe space for everyone, so if you're having any issues please feel free to let us know!

Also, I apologize for the lack of poll last month. I should have posted here to say I was traveling transcontinentally, so I wasn't on top of LJ in general. I'll do my best to get the August one out on time. ^^;

Hello, everyone! I'm very happy to say that recently, there has been an influx of fanfiction being posted to this community. Both the other mod yomimashou and I are thrilled to see more people sharing their works here and spreading the Bakaleya love! However, there has been some confusion relating to one of our rules, the one about locking high-rated fic to the community. We'd like to apologize for being unclear with our rule, and explain briefly.

The old rule used to read:

All NC-17 rated works (works including graphic violence or sex, for example) must be locked to the community. Posts linking to NC-17 works in other journals must also be locked to the community.

We made this rule with the thought in mind that all fanworks that included graphic elements should be locked to the community. However, since ratings are flexible and everyone uses them differently, we made the mistake of saying NC-17 works should be locked to the community, when really, we meant all works that included either explicit descriptions of sexual acts or violence.

So, we edited the rule a little. It now reads:

All works containing explicit sexual content or graphic violence must be locked to the community. Generally, this includes works rated R or NC-17. Posts linking to explicit works in other journals must also be locked to the community.

Basically, if you describe any sort of sexual act or any sort of violence in any detail, please lock your fic to the community. If you have questions about specific instances, please contact the mods! We're really friendly, we promise. And we're really sorry about any confusion or inconvenience this rule has caused.


In other mod-related news, I'm going to try to get a new poll up sometime in the near future, as well as responses to the community activity related poll. So please look forward to it!

Hello, and welcome to bakaleya_kumi! Starting today, this community is officially open! We can't wait to get started in this community and share our love of the Bakaleya boys~ I know it's a little vague as to what this community is about, so to get started, here's some of what we're hoping to see/share in this community:

☆ fanworks! Fanfiction, fanart, icons, graphics, desktops, photo manipulations, fan soundtracks, anything else you can think of!
☆ translations of magazines, online postings, videos, etc!
☆ news about the Bakaleya juniors or about Bakaleya itself!
☆ pimp posts about your favourite character or pairing!

We're also hoping to do friending memes and even maybe community discussion posts, if there's enough interest! We hope this can be a place where everyone can come to talk, fangirl, create, and share fan media about the Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou and the six Juniors who starred in it.

That being said, please remember to keep the rules in mind, and post away! If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or accessibility problems, please don't hesitate to contact the mods~

Please comment here with any requests for fan media, links, fanworks, translations, etc, that you wish to see or are looking for and can't find! The purpose of this post is to help people locate things they're looking for or show a demand for certain things (ie if a lot of people want translations of Myojo, translators looking to translate something new might pick a Myojo article). So please keep comments constructive!

Examples:

I'd like to know if there's anywhere I can read a translation of the article about the Bakaleya movie from October's Myojo! I've looked but I can't find a translation anywhere.

I can't remember then name of this fic, but it's by [insert author name here] and was about Hokuto and Shintaro. Does anyone have a link?

As stated in the rules, links to media downloads are not allowed in this community, so please avoid asking for information about downloads. The purpose of this community is for sharing fanworks, translations, and news.

Please don't use this as a space to complain or heckle others for fanworks/translations/anything else! I trust everyone here, and besides, it's in the rules. Please be polite.

Each month, if necessary, a new post will be made to the community listing new requests. Individual request posts will be deleted, so please post all your requests here!
