The axolotl is a little beastie found in the depths of Lake Xochimilco, and also in the wealthy foothills of Los Angeles. It never fully matures and stays in a half-larval form its entire life. A quixotic creature, its amphipolar personality is equal parts serene humility, sublime goofiness, steadfast loyalty and compassion, and...snipy conceited intellectual elitist bastardism. It forages primarily for tofu and seitan, but occasionally will chase after larger quarry, usually HAGs. It constructs a red and silver bower and makes a complex series of sounds, which either has to do with territoriality, or to obtain a mate.
