What am I to say to this sort of thing:

"entry is by application only. please make a new post requesting acceptance"

I don't make requests. I am God.

1. what most annoys you about internet people: That they own Livejournals. People that give you "join this community" forms to fill out where the "W" in "What" in every sentence is uncapitalized. Shoot, that right dere just done drive me up the wall.
2. what the last substance you spilled on your shirt was: I don't wear shirts, I prefer having my breasts flap wildly in the wind. However, I wear 'sweeeeet11!!1' jeans, with the "faded" look. I'm hip. Yesterday my lap was awashed in pink lemonade.
3. what your name actually is, and what you'd prefer it to be: I told you fool. I am God. It's to cool to change.
4. three things that make your life liveable: Preperation H, Mad TV, Santa Clause
and
5. which small country you'd like to buy and run, given the option: I don't want a small country, small countries are for pussies.

By the way> person that posted below me. This community is dead.
Chucks.

1. What annoys me most about "internet people" is that they lack any sort of intelligence. Honestly, it doesn't take much effort to spell out a word like "to".
2. The last substance I spilled on my shirt was Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper. Damned adjectives...
3. My name is actually Rachel Katherine, but I go by Katie. I wish my name was... uh... Janis Joplin.
4. Three things that make my life liveable are: music, books, and whoever I decide to be in love with, at any given moment.
5. If given the option, I would buy and run the Vatican. Just because I like controversy.

The end.

I. That more people complain about people that type in sticky caps and e-bonics than there are people that actually do. And hell, I don't care if you complain - I'm doing it right now - about all of you (sorry!) but assuming that the person behind the font is stupid is not generally true. More often than not, these people are just lazy. Don't get me wrong (or do, whichever you prefer), I used to complain about it too. And then I realized I'd never talked to anyone who typed in sticky caps, unless I was making fun and doing it myself, to which the last thing I ever typed in such a manner was I aM a HyPoCrItE. (Which doesn't bother me so much, because another one of my internet peeves is elitist assholes, myself being one of them. And those losers that think the internet makes them insta-gods, because they can steal somebody else's picture and somebody else's text and nobody will know all the better. Guess what losers, you're still losers. But I am committing parenthetical diarrhea here. Closing parenthesis. Moving on.)

II. Toothpaste, to the happiness of perverted minds everywhere. Mostly, when things fall, they gravitate towards the grand canyon that is my cleavage, and miss my shirt, relieving of course, my amount of laundry, but elevating social awkwardness.

III. My name's Emma, though I much rather would have taken what my parents were going to name me - Anastacia. I know four other Emmas. Three of them are dogs.

IV. Food, bras, music (boys, computers, and hugs - sorry, I'm much better linguistically than mathematically). My reasoning? I'm Italian, large-chested, and I love to dance and sing. Enough said.

V. The Holy Cee, because it's the smallest, and would probably cost the least (but forgive me if I'm wrong - I haven't done much research on the purchasing of small countries.)

1. what most annoys you about internet people? What bothers me the most is what I think bothers most intelligent people -- that so many dorks on the internet think that just because they're not handing in essays for school they can completely abandon all grammar, spelling, syntax, and common sense. tYp1ng liK3 Th1S really pisses me off. Just -- why? Why? It makes no sense to me.

Also (I'm fairly sure this will endear me to no-one here, but I find it worth mentioning), I'm one of those people who reads and writes fanfiction, which automatically makes me a huge nerd. This I will admit. But so many people are under the impression that since it's not "real" writing, they don't have to use "real" grammar. Etc. Just because you managed to put up a site using Geocities helper does not mean you're a Pulitzer Prize winner. Or even nominally clever.

2. what was the last substance you spilled on your shirt? Hm... Wow, I'm proud of myself -- I have managed to go for quite a while without spillage. (Or maybe, you know, I just didn't notice...) I think it was some white sauce from a Thai tofu-and-Chinese-broccoli dish. Not particularly worth the spill.

3. what is your name? what would you prefer it to be? My name is Zara. It's taken me a fair while to grow into it; I really used to hate it, but now that I think back I can't particularly remember why. Now one of the reasons I like it is that, when they hear it, a lot of people associate it with the russian word Tzar (or tsar, or csar, or czar, whichever spelling floats your boat), which means king. Or Tzarina, which means queen, which I quite like. The only problem I've still got is that the name "Zara" doesn't lend itself to nicknames well. Any suggestions along with comments or ratings will be greatly appreciated.

I can't really think of anything I'd rather my name to be. I like quite a few more exotic-sounding names, mostly out of books ("Angharad" is one of my favorites, because it can be shortened to so many different things), but I think I'll torture my future children with those instead.

4. what are three things that make your life liveable? Hm.
I. Other smart people. They're beautiful cool oases in a desert of... stupid people. As I said before, I'm a nerd -- I actually used to go to nerd camp for three weeks every summer, where everyone would take a single intense college course. That was great, because the majority of the people there were intelligent people who wanted to keep learning.
II. Music. No, I'm not kidding, and I know it's kind of clichéd, but really. There's stupid-but-fun music, which is where I put Britney Spears -- to be fair, there are times and places appropriate to be bopping around to "... Baby One More Time." There's complex but enjoyable music, which is where I put Dave Matthews Band. I have a serious weakness for them. Take some time off and just listen to them. The overlapping beats and harmonies kill me every time. And then there's always Jesus-Girl-You're-Not-All-That-Smart music, which is serious classical, like Bach or Mendelssohn. Don't know what I'd do without any of it.
III. Sexiness. Finding it in other people, and realizing that when I work for it, I have the capacity for sexiness as well. The nice thing about it is that I don't think there's any person, anywhere, who is utterly ugly. (Does it make me politically incorrect to say "ugly"?) Everyone has something sexy -- be it their feet, their eyes, their hands, the way they walk, their voice... It's always fantastic to find that in people.

5. which small country would you like to buy and run, given the option? Micronesia. Simply because it's called Micronesia. I can't give you anything better than that.

Thanks for reading the app. I know that being concise is not one of my talents.

4. three things that make your life liveable: Um, besides food, oxygen and water.. Books for starters. I love those crazy little things. Cats. They're the best things. They're self-cleaning, and keep to themselves, except for when they know you need someone, then they're totally there for you. And music. Any kind of music. Brahms to Michelle Branch. *Nods*

5. which small country you'd like to buy and run, given the option. Oh dear, I'd like to buy and run P.E.I, but..that's an island, not a country, so, no. Ireland. Does that count as small? So beautiful.

1. What most annoys you about internet people?
The fact that they type. It shows
a) how they are illiterate and have butchered the language thru slang, ridiculous acronyms and IM-speak. I bet I can click the "last 100 posts" link and copy a sentence that I don't understand a word of that some internet chimp thinks is English. How about: "RU gunna go? U'll have an uber-fun time at MTAC <3" (Not lying this was posted by someone at 1:35 AM. No idea what the hell it means).
b) that the suburban teen angst is alive and well. Oh no, the world is meaningless. Let's paint our face, pierce our nose, dress in black and talk cryptic!
c) why think for yourself, polls and quizzes are all you need!

2. What the last substance you spilled on your shirt was:
Whatever shot that Steve ordered 16 of and started passing out. AnnMarie hit my elbow and I missed. Ruined my only good tie.

3. What your name actually is, and what you'd prefer it to be:
actually Kevin, I'd prefer Lance Uppercut.

4. Three things that make your life liveable:
My brain which enables me to understand the meaning of life and not go all 16 year old "life is meaningless" on everything.
The fact that I have a job in sports.
my sense of humor

5. Which small country you'd like to buy and run, given the option.
Cuba. I'd get rid of the communists, free the people, promote tourism since it's a great tropical location, bring in capitalism in moderation, and smoke great cigars.

I really just wanted to reply to Melted's post, which I'll do in this LJ CutCollapse )
