It's apt that my latest entry on this journal is after a year. lol
So, once I found out that the movie is going to be shown in Malaysia, I was excited. On the day the ticket was on sale — I can't sit still and I was on pin and needles the whole morning. TGV Cinema was being their 'great' self when they didn't even tell us the time the ticket was going on sale. Then, the mobile apps and the website crashed and I didn't get my ticket. Luckily, they opened some more slot and I managed to get the tickets afterwards.
Travelled from my state to KL and ended up spending last weekend in KL — which surprised everyone since I finally took a break lol. But, it was a much needed getaway.
So, back to the movie. It was amazing! I watched the concert before, but watching Record of Memories — it was like I'm watching 5x20 for the first time. TGV was so nice to let us sing along and it was much like the concert atmosphere in the hall. I had fun singing along on my own — the whole time watching the movie, I got a mix feeling — something like nostalgic? IDK. I screamed like mad woman once the sakumoto heart part came on screen and to watch Sho laughed with joy and amusement on Jun's face. I always got a soft spot for these two's skinship.
And I definitely can watch the movie over and over again.
Today is a very special day. I am that person who has never experienced a concert because I hate crowded place and I don't think I can stand being among sweaty crowd for a long time. But, I do yearn to meet my favourite artist. Although, I have an experience of seeing some of my local celebrities and just watched them from afar because I was too nervous lol.
I just watched 5x20 concert. Late, I know. And I've been so out of touch with the fandom — just the bits from all of Arashi's social media. That's the only way I am keeping up with them.
Downloaded the concert for weeks before I finally watched it today. As one of the avid sakumoto shippers all these years, I am definitely happy with the bits of SJ moments that I got through watching Voyage and from all the tiktoks or IG videos. But, imagine my surprise when I noticed Sho and Jun on the same platform and the moment Sho went to Jun! ROFL. I kept on repeating the part lol. Ugh, after years of being their fans, these two still have that weird effect on me. lol. Thank you for the increasing of skinship and SJ moments, Sho-san. I am one happy shipper!
So, Arashi announced a Netflix documentary today. It will be aired monthly starting 31st December.
All these announcements and the description of the documentary, it gives me the feeling like they are saying their goodbye. I know that the members had ensured us that they will come back, but I can't help it.
On the other hand, it touched me how thoughtful they are. I think one of the reasons Arashi 'invaded' all the social media platform is because of the international fan. That's the reason they chose to do a Netflix documentary, I guess.
Well, whatever it is, I wish them all the best in everything they do. Hopefully they don't push themselves too hard though.
So, I guess my journal ends up being updated annually. Arashi is celebrating their 20th anniversary and it marks my 10th anniversary in the fandom. Gosh, how time flies! Next year I'm gonna be 30 years old! It made me realised that somehow, my youth is filled with these five dorks. All those late nights — downloading and watching their shows. All those flailing and gatherings that I attended. I even met awesome people through Arashi — people who I would never be friend with in real life. I guess the only constant things in my life are writing and Arashi. Even though I stopped writing Arashi's fics, I still write Samcedes fanfiction.
I mostly got Arashi's updates through tumblr and Facebook now. Definitely looking forward for Kouhaku this year since Sho is the main host. I guess next year will be Jun's turn, huh.
Well, I would like to wish those who celebrate Christmas a happy holiday and I think it's not too early to wish you guys a happy new year too!
After a year, here I am again! Honestly, I have been out of loop with Arashi, especially the variety show since most subbers stop subbing and I don't know where to get the newest sub for variety show.
I am in love with this movie!! Downloaded it few weeks ago and instantly fell in love with Doujou and Kasahara's dynamic! The message of protecting books is good too.The whole idea behind the story is very good, as well as all the actors! I have watched the first movie and the SP aired last year and definitely fell deeply in love with the series! Now, I am restlessly waiting for the Last Mission! I only found the Chinese sub in v6_unlimited and been googling for the movie but to no avail! I really hope someone will sub and upload it later!
