pearly gates pickup, like new, in the box w dox. full length wires, tinned on the ends. bought this, but it's a gibson spaced pickup. will not line up w strings on fender / ibanez. coil tappable.

Hello from Arizona,

Our band was not selected to showcase at SXSW this year, but we're still interested in coming out during that week and hopefully play a couple shows. None of us in the band have been to Austin, or Texas for that matter (my midnight drive through the panhandle a few years back at 90 mph doesn't count, I don't think...). Could anybody here recommend a good club/bar to contact to set something up? Are there any other bands in the vein of Ministry, KMFDM, NIN, Strapping Young Lad, Fear Factory, etc. putting together shows in mid-March which would be interested in having out-of-towners sharing the stage?

We've had plenty of Blues Brothers moments on our own adventures through AZ, CA and NV so far ("We play country AND western...") and Spinal Tap moments. While amusing in their own right, we'd prefer to minimize those in lieu of rocking out to a lively, receptive audience.

Thanks for any insights!

Come hear The Lovers and other great bands jamming for a great cause - Hospice Austin Christopher House, tomorrow night (Saturday).  It's a benefit and the suggested donation is $5. Christopher House provided wonderful care for our friend and bandmate, Starr.
