NON-ATONS EVENTS
MSDB Sponsored Safety Class
Saturday, April 23
MSDB is sponsoring its twelfth safety class on Saturday, April 23rd, 2005. Participants will receive instruction from a certified teacher from the American Red Cross. The morning class will be CPR for adults and the afternoon class
will be general First Aid. The instructor is kink friendly. Upon completion of the two classes, folks will receive certification from the Minnesota Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Cost for both classes is $30 for MSDB members and $50 for non-MSDB members.MSDB members have first priority for signing up in the next two weeks (prior to March 7th). After March 7th, the classes will be open to the general leather public. ALL paid reservations must be received by Friday, April 8th. You can mail a check or money order to MSDB, Suite 240, 1142 Hennepin Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55403. Please put which class(es) you want in the memo part of the check. The application will be on our website in the next week or so. (www.msdb-mn.org)
The classes run from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CPR will be 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and First Aid from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m., with an hour lunch break from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Folks who need to be recertified on just the CPR portion
can attend the morning session (9 to 1) for a reduced fee ($30 for non members and $20 for MSDB members). Folks who need to be recertified on the First Aid portion can attend just the afternoon session (2 to 6 p.m.) for a reduced fee
($30 for non-members and $20 for MSDB members). Combined cost of both classes saves $10 for members and non-members alike.
This is a great deal for both members and non-members. Our local community education system charges $50 each for the First Aid and CPR classes - a total of $100 for basically the same certification. (We don't offer child CPR as
that is an unlikely event in a dungeon setting). So, non-members save $50 over the market price for these classes, and members save a whopping $70!! Such a deal - sign up today as classes are limited to 10 students each.
