Shock Treatment:
A young couple appear on a campy game show called "Marriage Maze," and the result is as bizarre as it is disastrous. The show's lecherous host abducts the young woman, and sends her boyfriend to an insane asylum.
Rocky Horror Picture Show:
Brad Majors and his fiance Janet Weiss stumble upon the castle of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a transvestite who is holding the annual convention of visitors from the planet Transsexual. Frank unveils his creation, a young man named Rocky Horror, who fears the doctor and rejects his sexual advances. When Frank announces that he is returning to the galaxy Transylvania, Riff Raff the butler and Magenta the maid declare that they have plans of their own.
Tickets are only $6 per film and The Hollywood is, as always, Pittsburgh's only BYOB theater. For this one, you're gonna need it...

I'm putting together the "final" version of monsters of rocky, which will include live footage from the con.
did anyone get video of us at the house of blues? has anyone seen video of it? Mad Man Mike shot some that he said was pretty terrible, but he promises to send it. he was right up against the stage, so perhaps someone snuck in a camera further back?

Help out REPO: The Genetic Opera!
I know, I know, spam. I'm sorry. The guy who is responsible for this is a friend of mine (well, he is now anyway) and I want to help him out.
For those of you who haven't heard of Repo: The Genetic Opera, think Rocky Horror meets Bladerunner. It's a dark musical set in the post-apocalyptic future, and it's got Anthony Stewart Head, Sarah Brightman, and Paris Hilton in it.It was created by Darren Bousman, who brought us Saw II, III, and IV.
Check it out at repo-opera.com and watch the trailer and a few film clips. It looks really amazing.
In its exposure so far, it already has a RHPS type feel to it, with audience members showing up in costume and singing along with the film. Unfortunately, like Rocky Horror, it's having a lot of trouble finding an audience. Lions Gate has cut their marketing budget to about $2.50, and they open on Friday. The only way that this movie will survive is if people get the word out in a grassroots movement. The reason that the studio is trying to bury the film is because "they don't think there's a market for dark musicals in film."
So, if you can, please help this upcoming cult film out by showing up and spreading the word. We can't just let cult films like this slip by without our support, or there won't be any new ones.
