Plot
"You Smile" centers around a wealthy family that lacks etiquette and manners. The family then becomes bankrupt and are forced to move into the home of their chauffer Man-Bok's (Choi Bul-Am). Gradually, the two families with their different ideals and beliefs, come together as one and become one family ...

Micz Jul 13 2023 5:25 pm I've watched countless dramas but I think this is far the Best Ever!!!! Don't be fooled by the number of episodes because every second will make you laugh, cry, and feel the love between the characters, especially the main leads. My reason for watching initially was because of Lee Min Jung because I was just amazed by her beauty in Boys Over Flowers and I thank God for making me fall for her more in this drama. All of the couples have very good chemistry and so I really recommend you to watch it because I promise you that you will stay up saying "one more episode."

I love how Hyun Soo and Jung In slowly fell in love to each other. Their love that conquered all the odds even if their parents were really against them. I love how geniune this drama was made for the family ❤️

It’s not unrealistic or as old as its’ first look, not sparkling with handsome guys or rich-kids series showing beautiful clothes, beautiful scenes or accidental destiny, French kisses, or weird scenes of broken families... It comes so real-like, sometimes recall your family’s stories. Though life is tough, just stay bright, happy and thankful as we’re owning a full house. In the past we were patient talking to parents, speaking out in right time rather than angrily behave like a child. It’s hard to love so we dated in secret and treasured every moment together. We are not rich but be willing to help people... that’s how we lived

But Hyeon-Su mother really ruined the show for me ! Her character i liked the least of all of them.

oussie Feb 14 2019 1:05 am This show is great if you are looking for romance with a side of funny family situations, probably the best I have seen. The main guy is crazy about one girl but slowly develops feelings for her sister. After a series of events both their families end up living together and a funny clash ensues. I heard the series was supposed to be 30 episodes but they extended it to 45 due to good ratings I believe. Although the latter part of the show gets a bit draggy, the first 20 episodes or so are really good. I recommend you watch it ;)

1121433 Jul 04 2018 2:53 pm dunno about some, but for me this is one of the best family dramas, no over-the-top makjang moments like on (Band of Sisters, Jang Bori,LeeSoonShin, Love Returns, Father Ill take care of you etc,) this is a pretty tame family drama tbh, most family drama has over the top settings, this is even more tame than Ugly Alert imo. I have watch countless dramas and I prefer watching family dramas than special dramas(16 eps), specially the long ones (50+ average), I've watched countless dramas and I haven't press a single skip nor fast forward button on those iv'e watched...would recommend this 10/10......
Castlin Sep 05 2017 2:23 pm Have patience in first five episodes and continue to watch.. you will love this. Lead actors and actress has great chemistry and even the support characters. But what I truly love in this drama is the OST ? I searched them in youtube and Google... even check them in WIKI. The best. One of the best OST. It's like my lullaby at night. "Just Waiting for you ( Vis a Vis )" Melo' Breeze ? two Thumbs up. The song and the singer very refreshing???

inspiritpat Nov 04 2015 6:55 am The first time I watched this is way back when I was a sixth grader, and now I am a 2ndyr. college student, I still have this love for this drama. I wouldn't never forget the house which all of them lived. And I dreamt of having a house like Manbok's, way back. A basement which have Hyunsoo's room and an attic which have Jeongin's room, Seongjun and Jisoo's chemistry which lead to real life (AND NOW MARRIED WITH KIDS!), the endless bickering of Keumja and Juhee... Ugh... This drama is one of the best I watched, hopefully if I could have much time, would re-watch this.

A lot of lesson for us in this drama that we have to spread love for each other..so much love of them...will miss the same story..Sarangheyo for all the cast, writer,director,producer...you all give the best for us!!!!
Paulene Mar 29 2015 10:32 am OMG!5 reasons why you should watch this drama: 1. All the artist were able to portray their characters. I mean, the expressions were DAEBAK! 2. Settings were fine. 3. Story line is so so so good! Two thumbs up, the family affairs storyline is too realistic. 4. Perfect casting. 5. It's not just entertaining but too many lessons to learn.
I really didn't bother watching this drama as I never heard any ads about it but it was worth it despite of the long episode.
I am not a big fan of Lee, Min Jung but I liked her since BIG and Cunning Single Lady. She is mysterious and really beautiful. She is one of the best artists who can portray their characters like it's real. She has that the expression that is hardly found to other artist.
Anyway, all the actors and actresses was awesome!!
I loved every episode portrayed.
It's hard to express my feelings about this drama. Though, this drama lacked promotion I thank my sister for recommending me this one.
The story left me a very realistic impression!!!!
jean Sep 27 2014 8:36 pm this is the best Asian love story, I watched this 5 times all episodes is really good story, my favorite part of this series when Kang Hyeon-Su tell his felling to Jeong-In. i wish they work together again for another Korean drama Lee Min-Jung and Jung Kyoung-Ho

o u i Oct 17 2012 11:37 am juset two comments!, for this great drama. it is too few.(i add it another) all my life, my most favorite drama is "Autumn In My Heart" and this "Smile, You". anyway both of them is different from each other for me. Autumn In My Heart, i can watch only one time (but i read it as novel again) but Smile You, i do it again and again because Smile You make me smile every time over its show and Autumn In My Heart, i want no more tear. (T_T)
