Cha Geum-Joo works as a manager at an attorney’s office. She does great work,
she gets arrested for violating the attorneys-at-law act. Her career seems like it is over. She goes through more hardships, but Cha Geum-Joo becomes a great attorney.

Hinna Dec 05 2023 5:28 pm I decided to watch this series after having read most reviews here. They were mostly good. However, I can't get past episode 1! It's awful. I can't seem to find the plot. It's just a series of uninteresting events executed by cartoonish characters against a backdrop of very annoying music score.
Shehla Oct 21 2020 5:34 pm Just woww ❤️amazing drama and amazing acting by JJM. He is soo , cute and so hot at the same time..love his smile, his voice, his style. He is just perfect and I love watching him. Just loved the sweet romance and funny banter between JJM and Choi Ji. But I just hoped the ending was good. It was so open ended and unclear. She should have chosen a side after such a cute and beautiful romance with JJM. Then it would have been perfect. I so hoped that JJM will finally get his love in this drama but then again as always he had to wait so many years but didn’t get his love. But atleast it was not tragic ending. I will keep watching it again and again ..Please give more projects to JJM and with a happy ending for him.

I like Joo Jin-Mo in all his movies and he is a good looking man.
I also like Lee Joon. He was so sweet and soft spoken in this movie. I didn't care for the way Ham treated Suk-Woo, looking down on him, always trying to get the upper hand, and disrespectful or trying to make a fool out of him. Get a grip and grow up. I thought it was cute and sweet the way Suk-Woo acted around Geum-Joo. She was lucky to have both guys care for her.
Lee Joon has a beautiful voice. Hope he continues to get more acting parts.

Kdramanut Nov 28 2016 7:39 pm The 1st episode seemed a bit sloppy but I kept watching since I'm a fan of Joo JinMo & Lee Jun was great in Vampire Detective. I'm glad I did. This is a solid drama. I highly recommend it!! & now I'm definitely a Lee Jun fan!!

GianLouis Nov 03 2016 7:23 am The story is about a woman in her early 40s who failed 10 TIMES in BAR EXAMS. This is not a teenage role! Choi Ji Woo is the best for this role. Dont criticize her acting too much, shes one of the HIGHEST PAID ACTRESSES of Korean Drama Industry (Next to Jun Ji Hyun & Song Hye Kyo) + one of the mose popular Korean Wave / Hallyu Star in the world. I guess you havent watched all CJW Dramas.
neng Nov 03 2016 3:07 am I don't know why but CJW is always fail to certain me that the character she portrayed really falls in love with the male lead. It's not only in this drama but also in 'twenty again'. In addition her pronunciation always bothers me. It's like a spoiled teenage girl is speaking. Some people said that the character is supposed to be a bit immature but if you watch 'twenty again' she is also like that. So in my opinion it's because the way she talks that make her character looks immature.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but for those who say that CJW is not suitable, I think it'd be more appropriate to say that the character is unlikeable; the problem lies within the role and not the actress. From how I see it, the character is supposed to be a bit immature; she's a confident and spunky middle-aged woman who seems childish at times and mature at others. Some people may enjoy such a character, and others may not. It just depends on the person.
Honestly speaking, if they had someone in their 20's take this role, I feel as though the entire story and cast would have to change. Having someone younger take on such a role of an experienced, married career woman, especially in the field of law, sounds a bit unrealistic. With all due respect, PSH is a great actress but I can't see her in such a role. Not here to argue; these are just my two cents and I apologize if I ever sounded rude :)

I have watched some of her Dramas, and yes I agree with@ kin4, she's wooden like and always has the same level of emotions, kind of cold. She best fits maybe in Revenge dramas.

I don't understand about her playing teenage role because she is not playing as teenage role entirely in this drama. She is perfect as a career woman suit with her age & she has a good chemistry with Joo Jin Moo & Lee Joon. I disagreed about saying PSH is more suitable with this character because i personally think that PSHis too stiff & boring!

On the contrary, I cannot pictures park shin hye potraying this character. It wouldn't be this perfect is they cast PSH.

I don't think that Choi Ji Woo is suitable for the role. Don't get me wrong. I know she is a very talented actress. This is why I'm wondering where it went wrong. Maybe someone younger would have been better? Because Cha Geum Joo's character seems to fit someone in their 20s. That's how she acts. Exaggerated and all. I find it uncomfortable to watch some scenes with Choi Ji Woo because really..a middle aged woman acting like a teenager is again..uncomfortable in my eyes. Or perhaps they could have made her character more mature? Especially since she's very skilled in her craft (CGJ). Also, sometimes I imagine Park Shin Hye as CGJ. I'm reminded of her acting in Pinocchio and I think that she fits CGJ's character here. Anyway, Joo Jin Mo is great as always.

Lee Joon's character is very enjoyable and I really like his chemistry with the lead acress as well as Joo Jin-Mo. The story is getting more interesting aswell and now I'm really excited for the 3rd episode. Hwaiting!
helen dancer Sep 27 2016 9:54 pm I'm lovin this drama. The ji-woo and jin-mo are great performers. We need to give this drama a chance. Looking forward to the twist that's coming up; girl in coma has gone missing, the perp is looking for her and the wimp sister is up to something. Just look out for what she will do to her sister, she's crushing on jin-mo and might be a little fatal attraction.
Follow the story line and you can see the twist and turns that might come up.
I give this drama five stars

Eleni Sep 27 2016 1:24 pm I was really excited for this drama. I thought that Joo Jin-Mo, Jeon Hye-Bin and Lee Joon (though he didn't appear much on screen in the 1st episode) were interesting. However I was really turned off by the lead actress. Not so much by the way she chose to portrait her character as much as what she had to work with. So my problem with this drama is mainly with the script and the editing.
But you can't really judge a series from the 1st episode, so I'm looking forward to the next ones hoping that they find their pace. Hwaiting!
