Bea Apr 06 2025 3:58 am No villain can top Mo Tae Gu, he was exceptional in Season 1. I really despised the villain here, i don't understand his back story and why he was harassing the detective. Atleast Mo Tae Gu was sick and neglected when he was young. He was also severely punished for his crimes. But in this season, the villain was just plain devil and why does he have a lot of minions that are of the same lunatic level as him??
Season 1 was definitely more action packed. It has the most interesting storyline compared to others but since it was released few years ago, it has some of its flaws like the cameraworks and the unnecesary long talking in between solving crimes. I also noticed the cases are more complex and the nature of the crime was more sadistic.
Meanwhile, Season 2 and 3 are more laid back but polished, the editing was more clean. Lee Jin Uk adds spice in these seasons. He really is one the best actors to portray a detective role. He can act even with his expresive eyes. Among the male leads in Voice series, he was the one who have good chemistry with Lee Hana. However, they kill his character in season 3 :(
anri Jul 26 2024 12:20 am i love this season so much!!! there's a lot of chemistry between director kang and captain do plus bang jesu is such a good actor that he embodies crazy psychopath very well. i also love the background story of captain do, it keeps the whole story very intriguing. this is a better season for me compared to season 1 which was also very good!!
anyways, this season is def a 10/10!!

Ru Sep 26 2023 2:47 pm Ok. First of all while I love this drama, and Jinuk's acting as Kang Dong Woo is amazing, there are many things that I've been frustrated with this police procedural drama.
During episode 1, the polices contaminated like everywhere, moving and touching all the proofs ?
But I don't like the dumbification of the polices when it comes to Bang Jee So and his groups. Some things are so stupid. And even made to be stupid so the plot can be moved forwards and to the convenience of the villain group. And after I spoilered myself with V3 ending, it pissed me off even more.
They have been realizing that they've been taped, so KDW suggested the flip phone, but it never been used until climax. Everything regarding radio checking is only realized until the end, and how come there is never be protection to any of the polices homes? When the home have been forced in before. Like so so so stupid. Nobody even think to move or adding extra protection. Jin's suggestion towards learning to shoot also didnt fruit in anything.
And the fact they have caught BJS the one they tried to catch so bad, but the security is bad. even the police from violent crimes bcm so dumbed down later, ans BJS people can enter the agency so easily. It's frustrating.
The next one is how Na Hong Soo being so easily poisoned. He refused coffee but immediately drink the water botttle so easily, and then it showed that there's a spider carcass inside, like whaaaat? How come the detective dont realize it.

Thet Jun 24 2023 11:33 pm I was hooked since ep 1. The actors did great job portraying their characters. The female lead though, her expression was lacking and the way she whispered through all episodes was a bit meh.
A bit spoiler, in ep 11 when Jin was hacking the website it was such a stupid decision to think that he wouldn't be attacked.
But, overall this drama was worth the time to watch. And how happy I am to see no romantic feeling between the female and male lead.
melon Feb 08 2023 11:45 am Watched season 1, and honestly was kinda mediocre. But decided to give season 2 a shot. I haven't watched much with Lee Hana, but i'm finding her character annoying still. Also her acting...is somewhat lacking for me. She seems to only have one expression when she's acting. And only speaks in a whisper voice all the time....which gets a bit old and weird after a while. So far the storyline seems ok.

Fa95 Dec 14 2021 12:35 am Rewatching this and man the chemistry and partnership between lee jin wook and lee hana is something else. After the massive success of season 1, changing the male lead could have ended this series but this season became an even bigger hit. Something season 4 could not do. I think that shows very clearly just how important the character of do kang woo was to us viewers. It's not just lee hana that we need. We need lee jin wook too. Also since bang je soo is now back it only makes sense to bring do kang woo back too

Voice 3 was a really good continuation too I really recommend this series and i think everyone should watch all Voice, Voice 2, Voice 3 and as of now the latest one Voice 4

Aizawa Jul 20 2021 2:32 am Just like everyone else, at first, I was frustrated because knowing the main lead changed to someone else & not Jang-Hyuk but after watched the second season, I must say that I love the second season more than season 1.
The main villain is different than the first one which he is very intelligent & use victim's hatred to destroy among themselves which is more psycho & more cruel (if you ask me). The main lead in second season also seems to have his own dark secret which really attracted me to continue keeps watching & wondering how it's going to end since there are only 12EP unlike in the first season which they have 16EP to summarize all things but then, I learn there will be season 3 since the storyline become more complicated & 'dark'. It's great though for me because it is really intense & make everyone curious & in the end, you will continue to keep looking for the right answers.
And, I love the interaction between Kang Kwon-Joo & Do Kang-Woo too~ XD

Confused at first why didn’t Jang Hyuk continued playing his role as Team Leader of the Golden Time Team, yet I understood it after watching the second season. Lee Jin Wook became my one of my favorites after watching him here. Both of the lead actors did a great job portraying their roles.
If you are fond of watching thriller/mystery/psychological dramas, this is the one for you. OCN did their best on this. It has 10/10 rating for me.

z Dec 07 2020 6:38 am i prefer season 2 and season 3 better than season, yes, season 1 was amazing and season 1 was more brutal and sadist for me, but season 2 and season 3 was more more more complicated than season 1. when i watch voice 1, it was obvious and i immediately knew who the killer is, but in voice 2 and 3 i had no clue at all, i kept guessing but i never guessed it right.
also, i didn't mind at all when i knew that Moo Jinhyuk was replaced with do kangwoo, and i LOVE them both. if you haven't watch voice 2, just wanna tell you that the ending wasn't clear at all, so you have to watch voice 3 to know who is who because they are related. butt above all, i really love these series sooo much like i cant even explain. they were ALL amazing and i adore these series.

Though, its very heartbreaking that Lee Ha na and Lee Jinwook doesnt have a lovestory thing on this drama, but we all know deep inside that they do have sumthing?. Anyways, I hope this drama will go on forever, until 20 seasons, maybe?
zee Nov 12 2020 11:47 pm It took me a long time to watch this season because someone told me that it’s not that good like the season 1 and the reviews of the others are also negative but since I love the concept and the genre and I love the season 1 I decided to watch the second season. I just finished it today and thanks to netflix for having it.
Personally, I hesitated to watch this because Janghyuk ahjusshi was replaced. And I felt bad for judging it before I watch the series. it was actually good. Each character have their charms. Yes, Moo Jinhyuk was more intimidating than Kangwoo but I find Kangwoo’s character interesting. Jesu’s character might be soft but that’s what psychopath character he is portraying — innocent outside but devil inside. Almost everyone is saying negative feedbacks but you just need to watch it yourself and rate it according to your understanding and like. As for me, I enjoyed both season and I can’t compare it because just like the characters, each season had their charms, too.
I can’t wait for Netflix to upload the season 3. Illegal streaming ㅋㅋㅋ. But I’ll rewatch it again when it’s already available on netflix. It’s just that I want to know what will happen to season 3 and the Golden Time Team.

Ji Oct 01 2020 9:59 pm I love lee jinwook but strangely he looks too soft for this character, I mean listen to his voice, oh so soothing while jang hyuk's voice was so bold and full of determination. But I agree to jang hyuk's decision to withdraw from this drama because it'd just seem like 1 drama devided into 2 even 3 long parts, there's nothing much to explore from his character. Besides, I never see him doing sequels.
In a matter of plot, I think it's fine considering they moved to smaller town but somehow most of cases didn't really hit the spot. They're actually interesting, I mean it's bold to address sexual molestation and pedofilia in an asian country but something about the delivery didn't really trigger concern.
Also we all remember the first episode of voice. It's so thrilling, god I had goosebumps on my skin because I was so concerned about the girl's fate. How I hoped KGJ recognized the barber light sound and MJH could find that place soon. It's a brilliant opening.
While the opening case of voice 2 was just dull. I mean when the detective was forced to kill the hikers, it was okay (despite how dump it was for them to stand there for a long time and did nothing), but the subway scene was just boring. Especially if you ever watched that one episode from the criminal minds when a person with skitzophrenia had a psychotic episode and started shooting people.
Well, I hope season 3 will be better.

Cempredess Apr 20 2019 9:12 am Voice 3 premiere will be on May 11. I still remember the last line that Bang Jee Soo said: " When awakening someone, one has to kill someone important to him." Then comes the scene of the bomb with Kwon Joo and the flashbacks of Kang Woo's past. A very clear indication that Kwon Joo is important to Kang Woo. Couldn't contain my excitement for the 3rd season.

This drama was a rollercoaster of adventure and suspense, each episode building up on the tension and drawing the viewer in. From the very first episode, the very first MINUTE of the episode, I was captivated and couldn't stop watching. From there I binge watched all 12 episodes and I have no regrets.
The male lead had a complex backstory which even had me confused as to whether he was an anti-hero or not. Lee Jin-Wook's acting is superb to say the least, and it was refreshing to see a subtle romance brewing between him and Kang Kwon-Joo. His facial expressions, mannerisms, and the look in his eyes conveyed his emotions perfectly.
12 episodes made this a fast-paced drama which was appropriate. Had it been longer, it would've felt too drawn out. I just hope that Kang Kwon-Joo survives (I'm sure she does) and hope she's not too badly hurt. Can't wait for season 3!

The emergency cases for this season are all good and anticipating. If you haven't watched season 1, you don't have to bc the story of this season doesn't contain anything from the last season except for some mentions of the old character.
I'm literally so angry at the ending tho, like my gur Kang Kwon Joo aint going to die like that. She's my favorite character in both seasons so No Way The Gonna Do Her Dirty Like That. I'm sure the writer and director had planned all of these for the upcoming season, so I'm praying she's still alive. That being said I can't wait till next season bc the cliffhanger is VBSJJFJEJD

I really didn't expect that ending tho. Arggh, at first I thought Bang Je Soo is Do Kang Woo's brother. Because he knows a lot of Kang Woo's past in Japan and he know how to speak japanese. And Je Soo's mother said that the ill-tempered blood runs in Je Soo something like that so I thought Je Soo is the older son of Kang Woo's father but it really mean was Je Soo's father was a rapist. (You know how korean writers do their works, nothing is impossible.) I was so convinced that he is his brother but it turns out not. And I think Kang Woo's father is still alive and he's the one who respect Je Soo and the one Je Soo gave the body parts he have been collecting (you know the old man inside the car who recently went to korea). And to 1004, I think Kang Kwon Joo is not Miho. Because Miho is found dead inside the well and her ear got cut (which Je Soo has). And Kwon Joo's ear is completely fine. And she doesn't remember anything about Kosuke or anything in Japan. But I think it's also weird why Je Soo keeps on insisting that Kang Woo should remember the past so that he could save Kwon Joo. I really think Je Soo and Kang Woo know each other when they were both in Japan. Oh and the ending part, there was a scene of a car and an old man talking to someone and said something like Kang Woo will definitely join them after the bombing scene where Kwon Joo was. But anyways, I really hope Kwon Joo is still alive and got herself safe before the bomb to goes off. I really like her both season 1 and 2, and I think it will be completely no use at all if she's not in season 3 anymore. Because if she really died there in the bomb scene, then season 3 will be all about Kang Woo's past in Japan and some unexpected stories. Uggghh if the writers really killed or removed Kwon Joo's character in Voice, then they should've told the whole story of Kosuke because season 3 will be pointless if Kwon Joo is dead :((((((((((

In Episode 3, How did that poor little child actor perform so well? He must have nightmares after that performance that could haunt him forever!!! The young girl who had been assaulted also did a fabulous acting job. What a tremendous episode but truly my heart goes out to those two child actors who deserve highest awards (and hopefully some mental assistance from professionals). Scary but excellent drama..

Acting like he's mr. almighty And Kang Kwon-Joo (Lee Ha-Na) always look very weak/afraid and like she's about to cry or something. Even though the story line and actors are good. And don't get me wrong i like the serie/drama, it's just that they could've done a better job wit Kwang Kwon-Joo's (Lee Ha-Na) facial expression but that's just my opinion. ?

But LJW is doing a fine job in season 2; just wish he would show off some beautiful martial art skills like JH. Well, JH is something else and yes we are missing him like crazy. So glad LJW is wearing some decent clothes and has his sexy hair cut back.....

I have always admired jang hyuk’s act in many of his dramas especially in beautiful mind. This is one guy who can give his exceptionally all & best in any dramas & yet be able to maintain his own significant & unique mark or identity. If anything is wrong with his drama...to me it has to be with a mediocre plot or some sub par writing (eg. Wok of love). Orelse jang hyuk never fails to deliver. However i like jin wook too. jin wook is not just a mere actor. Again and again this guy is reliable & can always deliver his best when taking any drama roles. I have watched the first season with jang hyuk & kim jae wook- that was truly awesome. So fighting jin wook....so far in ep 1...jin wook is great! Anyway all the best...am looking forward to watching this... again fighting!

A lot of the original cast had other projects to work on because let's be real - korean dramas with more than one season? It's not common.
The way they explained their absence is good too! If this gets picked up for a third season and they're interested in returning, they can!
As for THIS current season: I'm loving that Lee Ha Na's character is more involved. Lee Jin Wook is really yummy to look at haha but his character! So brash and impatient. At least Lee Ha Na has him in hand.
I know some people are complaining about the villain being shown too early but that makes me have faith that this season has some really good thrills in store for us.

It’s also unfair to say that S2 is not worth the watch JUST coz there’s no jang hyuk... I believe S2 has it’s own charm and appeal to at least some of us... it still has it’s old formula of fast-paced storylines... hair-pulling cliffhangers...and crimes that are soooo NOT FOR the faint of heart..
Voice 1 has Jang Hyuk.... Voice 2 has Jin Wook...
Now, I’m just waiting if this will also have it’s own great villain like Kim Jae Wook...

I feel Lee Jin Wook didn't do a good job with his role. I would have watched it even though I wished so badly that Jang Hyuk would be back. But, after watching episode 1, I don't want to watch it anymore. There are many better kdramas going on which is worth watching.

I was going to watch the whole season even though Jang Hyuk is not on this season and his character supposedly "travelled to Japan to study". But after the first emergency call and [SPOILER ALERT] the stupid emergency lady was trying to "buy time" to talk to a schizophrenic with a bomb, when there were snipers in position to take him out, I had a feeling the rest of the reason is going to be just as stupid. Who cares about the tens of people on the same train carriage when the emergency heifer wants to practice her negotiation skills with a schizo? Ironically, the bomb was disconnected (highly unlikely). I'm not sure what the writer was thinking.
I won't be wasting my time with any further episodes.

For Janghyuk, I think He already has drama awaiting for him to shoot.. So, He can not do the season 2. For Kim Jae Wook... Like seriously... His character already died in S1, there is no need to bring him again...I mean his character... it will be weird If He join the s2. and He already has drama to play soon tho..(OCN drama too) For Lee Jin Wook, I also not watch all his drama. But, He is such a great actor and He play this kind of character many times. So, no need to worries. He pull his character so freaking well in every drama :) and it such a fresh to start with new male lead tho :)
Lori Jul 05 2018 6:07 pm I greatly applaud actors that could take a heavy theme like this as their project. It's not easy to play characters that have to deal with psycopaths and gruesome crime. Even yesung said he always had nightmare after filming the first season.

HV Jun 27 2018 9:05 am Personally I am thriller kind of a girl and I am biased to anything where JH is in. So I loved, loved, loved “Voice 1.” With LJW in Voice 2, I am very skeptical. His last project “Return” was such a MESS in every possible aspect that I dropped it after 8 episodes. I am still infuriated that he chose such a retarded project after “Goodbye Mr. Black” which was so well produced. Well, let See if LJW can redeem himself in Voice 2.......!!!!!!!

Jang hyuk's only role was to swear at his surrounding officers and the villain and even lee Hana's special hearing ability is of no use because by the time she listens to the sound, there's already danger
In voice 2 they should've taken much smarter police officers who can put their abilities to the best use

I personally find him to be a good actor and handsome but JW, I don't think your agent likes you very much, your most recent dramas have been chaotic messes n now they give you voice!!!!!! Geez. Don't dumb down the cops (I wouldn't have taken it twice were I Jang Hyuk to be honest and am super surprised Lee Jin Wook, esp.after Return, is doing this role. I would expect them to grab the likes of Oh Ji Ho perhaps (though he has moved on from detective roles, he is great at them)... Surprised they snagged LJW but since I watch about all he does, I really hope the script isn't a bag full of plot holes with sand pouring out smothering us with tragic illogical behaviors like going alone with no one informed to meet someone who you already suspect may be your culprit... They did manage to make the most terrifying unusual custom molded weapon in those freaky kettle bells. I still cannot go by a Cross fit with kettle bells visible and not shudder... Now just make the staff smart enough to not make this 20 hours of losing almost all bad guys until someone is on the brink of death!
