Set in the near future in an area filled with poverty. Joon-Seok (Lee Je-Hoon) wants to leave the city and start a new life. For that, he sets up a reckless crime plan. He enlists the help of three friends Ki-Hoon (Choi Woo-Sik), Jang-Ho (Ahn Jae-Hong) and Sang-Soo (Park Jeong-Min). Soon, these 4 men are chased by a mysterious man named Han (Park Hae-Soo).

Notes

  1. Lee Je-Hoon, Park Jeong-Min and director Yoon Sung-Hyun previously worked together in 2011 movie "Bleak Night."
  2. Early English working title was "The Night of the Hunter."
  3. Filming began January 10, 2018 and finished July 15, 2018 in Incheon, South Korea.
  4. "Time to Hunt" was originally scheduled for release February 26, 2020 in South Korea, but the COVID19 outbreak caused the release to be postponed.
  5. "Time to Hunt" was then scheduled to stream exclusively on Netflix worldwide from April 10th, 2020, but on April 9th, 2020 the South Korean courts sided with distribution company Contents Panda on its injunction to stop the release of the film on Netflix. Contents Panda claims to hold international distribution rights, prior to the Netflix agreement with studio company Little Big Pictures. An agreement was then made between Little Big Pictures and Contents Panda to have the film distributed via Netflix from April 23, 2020.

sobbbeast Jun 13 2021 11:54 pm I wanted to watch this movie because of Lee Je Hoon. But the rating and comments are not that good. But I watched it anyway because I love Lee Je Hoon and I'm not disappointed at all.

At the beginning of movie, I feel the awkwardness of the actor. It's also I think it's too easy to heist the casino. But when Han chase Junseok and friends, it's really thrilling. And I love how they act and chemistry in the end.

i want gimbap Feb 27 2021 7:50 am i soooo recommend this movie, i decided to watch it cuz i’m a fan of Choi Woo Shik and also the comments were pretty good and wow this movie exceeded my expectations. i was on the edge of my seat the whole movie.... cast is amazing as well, really enjoyed the conversations, the soundtrack and the cinematography. very well written and scary as well:) loved it! the ending of course is a bit not clear but it’s still fine because the viewer is left on his own to think what happened.... thought actually there will be a part 2 but then googled and someone said that no way there will be.... okaaay i guess but i totally won’t mind part 2:)

Mohammed Albasher Dec 13 2020 3:18 am It's not that timeless masterpiece. But I'd say it's a really good Action movie, with a thrilling plot. The cinematography is really beautiful in this movie, the way they used different shades of colors was really fascinating. The inconclusive ending, leaves you hanging with a bitter taste and anxiously anticipating a sequel to the film. The only character I got attached to was "Jun-Seok", as his character stayed in the movie to the end and they showed us his development in a decent way. I also loved the performance of the Assassin "Han", he was ruthless and coldblooded. His emotionless eyes really haunted me for the whole time. I don't have much to say about the other characters as their role in the movie was ended really soon relatively. I'll give it a rating of 7/10. This was pretty much everything I wanted to say about the movie "Time To Hunt (2020)".

I was moved by Park Hae Soo who plays the villain. The ending wasn't properly explained because we don't know what happened to Choi Woo Sik but perhaps there will be a part 2 and I hope there will be. Overall, brilliant movie.

Shrlm May 31 2020 1:24 am A simple plot and storyline but will keep you on the edge. Amateur criminals who robbed an illegal gambling den but failed to see the repercussions. Decided to watch this film because stellar actors in it so I'm pretty sure it will somehow turn up good. Park Hae Soo.. damn he's such an attractive killer. Overall recommended!

[SPOILER ALERT] Only Jun Seok survived. Ki Hoon (CWS) didn't survive either. When he went come crying, he knew he was gonna die. The bad guys capture his family and they would have killed all of them. At the ending, when that guy said don't mention it to Jun seok, he meant that the foined was dead so there are some things you need to lie to yourself to make you feel brtter. Though I hope they make a sequel somce Han is still alive and Jun seok wemt for him..

I wanted to watch this mainly because i know some actors and i love the way they act, so i gave it a try after when i watched the trailer and i was instantly hyped. Omg, this is not only thriller, it's horror i swear. I love everything about this movie and i have to mention the fact that i am pretty hard to impress, but damn. What a roller coaster of emotions. I had goosebumps and i felt emptiness in my stomach all the time. I am waiting for the second part. Seriously, u did an amazing job and i am really mad that only because it is not american, this show won't get recognized as much as it deserves.

It was so good movie but not really great, 8/10. It might have a part 2 because the ending was left hanging. Love the tandems of the four oppa. I love their friend but..

DONT READ IF YOU DONT WANT TO SPOIL.. I'm so sad when Ahn Jae hong died. And they didnt show what happened to choi woo sik and park jung min. At the end, one of the gang friend of Joon Seok said that one of his friends is alive but he didnt mentioned the name , if it is woo sik or jung min. But maybe it was Choi Woo sik.

Added this movie to my watching list. I hope this will showing at my country cinema T.T but my country cinema usually only showed mega production korean movies like Train to Busan and Along with The God T.T
