Plot
Sae-Hee (Park Ji-Yeon) and Ji-Woo (Ha Jung-Woo) are a young couple two years into their relationship. Though he never acts on his impulses, Ji-Woo has something of a roving eye and Sae-Hee is intensely jealous and fearful that Ji-Woo will soon lose interest and leave her. Believing that Ji-Woo is bored with seeing the same, boring her all the time, Sae-Hee takes drastic action, leaving him without warning and having drastic cosmetic surgery, taking on a new face, which she hopes to use to snare him again, under an assumed identity, once she has healed. But when Ji-Woo shows interest in this new and "improved" Sae-Hee (Sung Hyun-Ah), it triggers only more self-doubt and loathing. After all, he may love the ‘new’ girl, but does this mean that he has rejected the old? Sae-Hee is utterly trapped in her own insecurities, a situation that prompts Ji-Woo to take drastic action of his own.

Bao Dec 27 2016 8:39 pm Hi,
My boyfriend and I was watching this film over christmas break and it left so many unanswer questions to us. I was wondering if someone can help explain. The ending was like the beginning, the lady coming out of the plastic surgery place and bumping into the same main character.. Is this supposed to be something symbolic with more meaning bc it's kind of confusing. Also, the guy at the end that got into the car accident, was that really her bf? Since there was so many new faces, we couldnt figure it out. Thanks a lot! Overall I think the movie was a great movie, surrounding itself by the whole idea of indentity crisis and insecuries and the plastic surgey industry. I felt at the end, the real enemy was the dr that exploited them both but that's just my opinion.

jury Oct 29 2013 6:18 am I recommend to watch romantic comedy 200 pounds beauty (starring kim ahjoong & joo jinmoo) if you want to watch movie about plastic surgery because it's better story telling & more enjoyable than Time. 200 pounds beauty is korean movie which critical acclaim and very popular in S.Korea released in 2006
djd May 11 2013 2:29 pm SPOILER ALERT
1st hour of movie is great; except park jiyeon is 5 years younger than sung hyunah so why would a woman as attractive as park jiyeon want to come back as sung hyunah?
why would ha jungwoo turn around and do the same actions with a face transplat?
my biggest problem with the story is the main character disappears in the last 30 minutes for no compelling or realistic reason
these people must be independently wealthy to spend what would be $100,000 to have reconstructive surgeries ...
