chix Feb 12 2026 10:15 am this type of story is the reality.. in each and every country.. those once young and fighting for righteousness, when they grow up and joined the system, they become one of the people they most despise.
seun Jul 26 2025 12:14 am a very recommended political series, please watch it! every episode had heavy emotions and understanding, can't help but to continuously watching next next episode and knowing its ended already. focus every scene then you would feel the thrills for the president unexpected next moves.
to me, president park might use tricky moves to get rid of the pm jeong and her alliance, but the real political villain here was jeong su jin herself.
would be great if there are more series like this.
Zeila Dec 08 2024 11:19 am The freaking President of South Korea is in a hospital and hooked up to monitors. Jeong Su-Jin decides to kill him by suffocation. Bells start going off on the monitors. Not a single nurse or doctor comes running??? Place is loaded with CCTV cameras, yet no one even looks at them. Seriously????
Brooklynienne Dec 08 2024 9:12 am This had a lot of potential, but it was clearly chopped down from a 16 episode to a 12. The exposition was clunky and the acting was sometimes over-the-top. I ❤️ Kim Tee Ae, but this was not it, I'm sad to say.
Muta88 Sep 18 2024 5:23 pm I started ep 1 today, i hope i love it
Bella Sep 09 2024 10:14 am Love this drama, as both rivals are witty and smart. They counterattack each other's.
Eddie Jul 28 2024 6:00 pm Too much back and forth. Left me exhausted.
PMAC Jul 18 2024 5:40 pm Kim Hee-Ae is a great actress. no wonder this political drama is a very high caliber one.
PMAC Jul 18 2024 5:36 pm Kudos to the writer. It was a good ending. No boring episode.
Ali Jul 13 2024 12:39 pm This is one heck of a political drama like every twist and turn is just manipulative and mind blowing. Watch it. You won’t regret it.
Thenew Jul 11 2024 12:32 am Okay I watched many political dramas and I promised I will never like anything more than designated survivor and here I am! This drama just tops everything else! Of course, they’re good actors who don’t have 500 filters on so this will remain an underrated treasure but it will definitely get a lot of awards in Korea! Heard they really loved this. I can’t wait, woo, this drama left me amazed like nothing else, so I need to see it get the awards it deserves lol.
Demon_vs_Evil Jul 09 2024 7:43 am This drama like Demon_vs_Evil... Both lead did everything to get their goal. So, for me, both are bad guys.. So no one in this drama are good as a human being. All of them are bad or i can say all of them are demon/evil...
Sonia ini Jul 08 2024 11:53 am What a fantastic political series. ?? ????????. It exposes the dark side of politics in a brilliant manner.
aryan Jul 08 2024 11:21 am i love political dramas but this is just too dark for me. i love how every character is intelligent, goes to show how crucial smart minds are to lead the country. if I would choose either designated survivor and the whirlwind though, i'd go for DS because aside for it showing us the important role of president in a country, we can also see his progress as a true president. the connections and bonds of other characters, their contribution to the progress of the main character, these human sides that I loved so much are not really seen in the whirlwind. i think if you wish to watch a political drama wherein the characters have already built their strong character from ep1 and all they do in the following eps is to maintain their firmness in order to achieve their goal, then this is for u. it's really a great show but I was just looking for other things and I can't help but to compare it to designated survivor because it is one of my fave drama. they have different approach in politics.
Shakirah Jul 08 2024 8:34 am Its really great but personally, i can't keep up with this political tension. I gave up right after episode 1.
Philip Jul 07 2024 7:21 pm Terrible, the worst load of rubbish that I have seen in a long time. Nothing in this series makes any sense.
L’amande Jul 06 2024 12:35 pm Damn… The main character is literally tried to assassinate president and then became the president just to avenge one of his best friend death. The plot, acting, character, and pace are down to the perfection.
Fay Jul 06 2024 10:44 am Easily one of the best political dramas from south korea. Was so intense from ep1 till the end. The twists and political deceit is just mind blowing. Acting masterclass right here people. This drama deserves awards.
harg Jul 05 2024 6:46 am The best political kdrama of all time in my book! Indeed the plots and twists are really a “whirlwind” hence an apt title to this 12-part drama series with the right pace and time! A masterpiece!
mini Jul 04 2024 5:29 am Without a doubt beat designated survivor for me. Incredible drama.
Ad Astra Per Aspera Jul 03 2024 6:09 am I wanted to like this show. I really did. As far as political Kdramas go, Chief of Staff is better, seriously much better. Even Designated Survivor beats this.
UpDown Jul 02 2024 4:46 pm I just watched this and I came here thinking this is popular because of how good it is. But it’s not dang! People are really sleeping on this but then again no matter how good the plot, veteran actors don’t attract most international fans. Well I’m glad they attracted me. 10/10!
David Jul 02 2024 12:43 pm Eerily similar to what's happening in the U.S. with the corrupt politicians coupled with a corrupt Supreme Court.
Dreamhigh Jul 02 2024 5:33 am Great drama and outstanding leading veteran actors SKG and KHA, Love it
Chichi Jun 30 2024 8:21 pm This drama is truly masterpiece. more people should watch this drama. all the veteran actors are really top tier of acting. Heavy but its worth to watch. The lead actors deliver powerful performance. The plot weaving unexpected twist.
Divine✨ Jun 30 2024 6:59 pm I completely agree with @Jin. Hierarchy was an absolute let down. This drama is a masterpiece from start to finish, no letdowns, executed perfectly
rick Jun 30 2024 8:27 am Sol Kyung- Gu made his first tv drama and wow... what a debut!
jin Jun 30 2024 1:34 am How is this not popular?? Literally the best netflix original of 2024! Such plot heavy, no boring episodes and crazy acting from hot middle aged leads! This is just what we needed after the let down of hierarchy but sadly people only care about high schooler dramas so they miss out on real masterpieces :P But at least I am now a fan of Sol Kyunggu and Kim Heeae!
Vinod Jun 29 2024 8:22 am Absolute masterpiece ??? such a wonderful cast all through
Star Jun 23 2024 12:56 pm You know it’s good when Kyung gu is in it!
Wow Jun 18 2024 5:00 am Hee-Ae always doing what she's soooo good at....I can't wait for this❤️❤️❤️
HazelGreen Jun 17 2024 11:22 am Ohh I love to see Sol Kyung-gu finally do dramas… he’s an acting god. Well I’m looking forward to see what he does in this.
mighty night Jun 11 2024 12:24 pm i can’t wait to see Sol Kyunggu in a drama i already watched like 30 movies from him… he’s such a good actor and he’s the hottest 50’s one i’ve seen too… i have high hopes for this
There May 23 2024 1:01 am It’s releasing in July! I can’t wait ❤️ The writer has so much good works and if Sol Kyunggu chose this as his first drama, it really must be good, despite politics not being my favorite genre. It’s still the drama I look forward the most!
Anyone Apr 03 2024 1:05 pm Wow, what a cast.. can't wait! Now let's have Song YoonA as a cameo!
midnight Feb 27 2024 2:03 am Kingmaker meets Queenmaker
