A man does not have much time to live. Giving everything he has, he struggles to help a woman whose life was destroyed because of him.
Soo-Ho (Kim Jung-Hyun) is the CEO of a restaurant and the son of a family that runs large company W. Due to him, Ji-Hyun’s (Seohyun) life is ruined. Soo-Ho wants to turn back time for Ji-Hyun. Meanwhile, Ji-Hyun had a bright personality and easily socialized with others, but things changed. Her younger sibling suddenly dies and her time stops right there.

Park Min May 07 2023 11:09 am Kim Jung Hyun plays a character with limited time who also had to drop out of the drama earlier than planned for health reasons which leaves this weird gap in the last 1/4 without the lead actor. This also led to a problematic ending and send-off of the character which was suppose to be the climax of series! Almost unwatchable after that. There were a lot of other problems but this one seems to be the most prominent one.

KJH did really well despite his 'behavior'.Seohyun also did well, better than i expected. The storyline was quite dark, but interesting. I read an article about the real storyline that was changed vs scenes in the drama, goosebump. Thats why when i watched it on 2018, felt a lot of scenes should be express more. Anyway, Good job 'Time' staff and actors despite a lot of controversies.

Because I can’t accept the fact that the storyline change from the original idea (not that i know how it suppose to end but it just bother me knowing about there is changes). I really love the drama actually. Kjh acting was top notch. I can really feel the despairness. The emotion was so intense. And i was suprised with seohyun’s acting too. I love the way she potrayed the character *spoiler alert (how unlucky her life is, losing more and more people stuck in dirty and harsh family) the drama was full of despair negativity, hardship, sadness, intense, backstabing. It was amazing! The villains were good too. I still remember her fiance has a face of kind looking man but betrayed her when she needed him the most. Like how sad it is. Can’t believe I didn’t watch it untill the end. I just can’t accept the fact that i know it wasn’t suppose to end that way(?)(or at least a few storyline wasn’t suppose to be that way(?)). I thought the drama could be a hit though. They had a set of good actors and actresses.

Olga Mar 01 2021 11:46 am I am really bothered by how the 2 female main leads act. It's only the male lead that did well. Kim Jung Hyun gives stellar performance. The female lead even hides her face often when it's time to show emotion. (Spoiler ahead) Like when she revealed to her mom for the first time that her sister died and committed suicide. She just hides her face. Like, why? Why would you hide your face in a drama. The audience is suppose to see her face so we can emphatize with the character more. That scene would have been so powerful and feel their pain but no, she just hides her face. I really want to like this drama but the 2 female leads was just too hard to watch. Great job for Kim Jung Hyun stellar acting but it would be better if the other main characters can act too. I am watching episode 5 but I don't know if I can bear watching if the scenes are with the 2 females. I hope they have improve their acting now for their future projects.

I was sad that this amazing actor didn't receive any awards and recognition he deserved for his insane performance here. Thank God! He is now doing very well, being ML of highly popular Mr.Queen. Kim Jung Hyun finally got what he deserves.

offtopic Dec 30 2020 8:58 pm i like tht i can feel their feelings towards each other (espc soo ho towards ji hyun) even without any romance scene whatsoever. the tension is there. i can feel it through his gaze & action. i like how he cannot just simply be honest to ji hyun about his feeling. he never said tht he love or fall for her. he just said tht he wants to see her, that he is thinking about her & he doesnt want to be unhappy (when both of them get married) etc. so for me, kudos to the writer!
it started as guilt but the feeling grows day by day. it is a bit frustrating that both of them never confess to each other. but for me it's very logic & realistic considering their situation.
all i can say is, kim jung hyun potrays the character so damn well! seo hyun also great. both of them have great chemistry. thanks to director & writer. you guys nailed it!!

Nina Oct 19 2020 7:07 am The thing that makes me sad is (SPOILER ALERT) the male lead didn't even get to feel the true happiness even when he was dying. The female lead has a very strong will, put aside the fact that he used her husband to get the power, she does almost everything by her own vision although I did wonder how did she adapt with the new life hahaha. That's what pain does to people, I think. The drama has typical storyline but for me, it's enough to enjoy it till the end. The thing that make me wonder is, do the main couple have feelings for each other in the drama because there isn't any single confession about it, or maybe just shown through actions. Did they just feel guilty and pity each other but not enough to develop love towards the partner? But nevertheless, it's worth to watch it as it does make you reflect on your life and people around you

if you want to watch this drama, I recommend it at night when it rains. I don't think this drama is suitable for watching together. And I can't be sure what mood is suitable for watching this drama. But one thing I know when you want to hurt your heart is as painful as possible watching this drama.

It was unfortunate that he died early. I cried a lot. Such a beautiful drama. I recommend this. Seohyun didn't have many experience in acting industry but she handled it so professionally too. It was 9.5/10 for me.
Remah Feb 28 2020 9:10 am tbh it's not a bad drama, it has some beautiful lines and the writer made a good male main character, I think the female main character had one of the saddest story, and the love story was so pure.. I wished many times if sooho's health was better or she didn't lose his sister and mother ? After ep25 all the drama stuff worked extra hard.. I speed a lot of scenes but I appreciate their works❤️ if we have to talk about junghyun he hasn't had much experience in acting yet, he just doubted on 2017, and in my opinion "time" is his best performance within that 3 years, I think sooho's story touched him a lot to the point his health affected so he decided to put an end to his struggles earlier.. I really wish he grows more as an actor and in the future I will be really happy if someone casted him on a melodrama again.. junghyun-ah, sooho-ssi you did a great job ❤️

It is almost the end of 2018 and I am still hooked with this drama. The best that I've watched till date.
MBC will have its drama awards (Seohyun will be one of the MC) and I really hope this drama is nominated, for its script, cast, producer, OST and overall. This is the most underrated drama and definitely deserve more recognition.
Truthfully, a drama/film should not be based on ratings and only depends on the star-studded cast, because even with the low rating, Time has captivated many people heart, and all the main cast performances were stellar even they are not really well known.
I do hope we can see Kim Jung Hyun well and attend the award event(and even better if he received one).
It will be nice seeing the team sitting together in a roundtable during the event.

I hesitated watching this because I know my guy was not able to complete it, but boy what an injustice I would have committed. So glad, I decided to tune in. My guy was superfluous as usual, but I was very surprised by the rest of the cast. just stellar performances from all members. superb writing, directing and editing. well done. And I just discover my new favorite song, "the end of the world."
evelyn Oct 06 2018 6:08 am I watched this drama recently after learning it was the same writer as Secret and Mask. I didn't know he had released a new drama. In fact, I wasn't even aware of this drama as it was airing. I binged watched it in 5 days and now I feel hallow... Never saw anything before of Kim Junghyun or Seohyun but they blew my mind here. I did not expect the change in their characters at all. Cheon Suho was disgusting, but then he became a man of honor. Seol Jihyun was a typical poor and weak protaganist, but she became so powerful and clever. The love story hurts so much because it is unlike any other drama. The character's feelings not only grew painfully and naturally, they became confidantes and real partners who understood each other's souls. Everything was ripped away in the most tragic circumstances. The story is haunting and makes me reflect on my own life and loved ones. The writing is fast and jerks you around, but it is never shallow or trite. Performance and writing aside, the cinematography and music are top notch. It's rare to see this level of quality and chemistry. Definitely one of the best and most underrated dramas of the year.
jlynn Oct 05 2018 10:39 am I stopped watching it when they said that Kim Jung-Hyun drops out of drama..But continued watching it again at Episode 15 today and end up crying a bucket..Its really a very sad story but the story for me was hands down..the actors did a great job..It was underrated!!!! I cant believe it received low rating in Korea..the drama deserve an award..Kim Jung Hyun never failed to amazed me with his acting until his last scene, praying for his good health.

Gong Yoo's Wife Sep 27 2018 11:57 am I was hesitant to watch it since I knew it will be heavy drama and the leading man had to leave the show early but I can't stop myself watching him. I'm on Ep 5 (Ep 9-10) and though the end of the episode was a hopeful one, I still felt so sad for the lead couple for all the pain they still will go through. I have to brace my heart for all these pain until the last episode. TT

Gift Sep 22 2018 5:47 pm Wow and here I thought mask was good, this is even better and yes the show ended for me when Cheon Soo-Ho died. I wanted him to return at the end but not everything you want you get. He made the show best for me. Seol Ji-Hyun tired a lot too, I like a strong woman. She did really better in this drama. Wow I was trailed with the part where they couldn't trust each other. Seol Ji-Hyun really did play here part. Shin Min-Seok was amazing though you couldn't tell what was thinking or what he would do next. I love this show. It deserves a lot of awards. Thanks guys.

Of course there's nobody to be blamed for such unfortunate event of Kim Jung-Hyun. To the entire production : still congratulations! despite all the odds that came, you were able to pull it through.

The 2 lead casts are amazing...you might not like kim jung hyun’s character initially but after some time....after a few episodes, his character grows on you... Amazingly when i watched ep 20s above, his acts are convincing & amazing. Sohyun too did really well... i watched this drama so far bcos of the 2 leads, the plot & the other great casts. The ost too is nice. What a total let down when kjh had to leave the drama bcos of health condition. We hope he will be better & be able to resolve the problems. As for this drama, the casts, director & producer....pls make good of it with the remaining episodes. I will watch this to the end...Let the remaning episodes be better & not fizzle out. I cried especially hard when she suggested that they adopt the little boy from the orphanage and you could tell deep within Sooho's eyes that that's what he wants. He wants to be a father and to have kids and to live but he know that he can't and I just started crying because I already know how this is gonna end. I knew they were gonna kill his character but I still wasn't prepared for it. I just feel so sad that he still has so many things he wants to do but hasn't done yet. My heart is breaking for him.

tim Aug 30 2018 7:57 pm well he will probably die toward the end of the drama, show they just have to move it up sooner, at this stage I don't think they will replacing his character at all, it's episode 20 now, so I assume his character will die around episode 24-25. originally the script is set up for him to die at the end, this is unexpected, the lead is dropping out because of his health, for him to die early is not the original script, but will see how it will turn out.

Nekko Aug 26 2018 6:36 am loved how the actors portrayed their characters' depression so realistically, it really brought mental issues to light and I think this drama is amazing for that. i was angry with suho's anger issues at first but slowly, i realized it was his defence mechanism and maybe a side-effect of his brain tumor. the scene where he saves her from committing suicide brought me to tears because it hits too close to home :")

I don't really judge the drama based on ratings, I have watched a lot of low rating dramas and they are better than the dramas with high rating. Like for example Secretary Kim after 3 episodes I got bored and stop watching but it has a very high rating and I love the actors . I don't know what koreans are looking for in a drama maybe the casts popularity is number one for them. Anyway, SHIGAN is superb! Their acting and all.

The actors are not bad either even though I am not that familiar with the two leads. I do feel that at this point it probably should have just been 16-20 episodes and it wouldn't be losing its pacing like right about now. I hope it has a happy ending even though I cannot see how that could happen based on the set up. That is the main issue I have with the set up that it predetermines what the possible results could be - and maybe that alone deters people from watching. I hope their ratings pick up or I cannot see this going 32 episodes.

At the start some of us we though, well we know whats gonna hapoen next... but what took my by surprise is that actually there were lots of plot twists wich made the drama so so enjoyable and addicting, its like we need another episode like oxygen. The writer in my opinion is making the script more interesting thanhos latest drama Mask, wich i liked it so much, and im super exited to see what plot is gonna happen and what is going to happen with Cheonseol. Yeah Cheonseol, So-hoo and Seol Jihyun are going to fall in love and im so so impatient to see the development, i feel like its going to be slow peace but very passionate when it happens, who knows. Everyone who has doubts whether watching or not, please try it and you will be immersed so much, the drama talks ablut real life topics like death, suicide, depression, rich power, politics... and also its quotes made me think about myself. Also the acting is superb, all of them, seohyun and kim junghyun are showcasing an awesome performance and the chemistry is ??

I can’t imagine the drought and endless pain and suffering she will feel. It’s even more melancholy because Soo Ho is going to die. Leaving her with no one. Not that it was circumstance that they were gonna be in love or anything, but you can’t deny that there would arise a friendship between them and if not a friendship, a sort of bond. Because now Ji Hyun has placed her trust in Soo Ho.

Everyone should watch this drama! As expexted of Secret Love & Mask writer! The pace and character develpoment is good! Plus acting! Kim Junghyun is good as always. Even as a Seohyun fan, I was shocked by her improvement on this drama! So proud of her!!

sanasus Jul 29 2018 12:42 am I've watched Kim Junghyun since his small role in Rebel and had high expectations of him on Time meanwhile I watched Seohyun on Moon Lovers so I had low expectations of her but I was so surprised how good she was on this drama. They were both soooo good! Plus this is a melodrama with one of my favorite writers and so far, I love how the story unfolds. Seems typical but the character development and twists in Choi Ho Chul's dramas are a must-watch just like with Secret and Mask.
Anyway, to anyone who doubts Seohyun is just another bad idol actress, they should watch Time.

I can accept the terminal cancer of the main character (even if it displeases me), but I will never accept the younger sister's killing. Making her die is too cruel and too unjust, and (in my humble opinion) unnecessary: she could've went into a coma or suffered injuries, and then get cured later. But I guess the theme chosen by the writer is the incurable and the irreversible, so I'm out of luck. I hope for the viewers that the ending will be less dark (I won't say happy), but I won't have the courage to wait for it myself...

Nux Jul 26 2018 3:09 am I read something similar when Heath Ledger was going into character for the Joker in the Dark Knight. For example he wouldn't wash and then ride the train. The other commuters would complain about his smell, his attire and his attitude. It's method acting and it just doesn't turn off. To portray a darker character and to play it well you need to be in character 24/7, it isn't as simple as switching a light on and off. And Heath Ledger done an excellent job in the role. Good for KJH to want to do his best too and you can see he's really trying as it is a complete contrast to his personality. Bigger roles could come out of the way he acts in this and he won't be pegged just for rom coms then. In all he should have apologised for his actions and underlined why he acted like that.

I know it was rude of him to reject Seohyun's arm but every story has two sides of it and we've only seen one. Behind the cameras, behind closed doors, maybe there is a man struggling to become a character that is angry at the world, at himself. Actors sometimes go for beyond measures to become the character they have to be. Take for example Seo Ye-Ji who acted in Save Me. She admitted on the interview that she isolated herself for 6 months just so she can understand the character and be that person. She said she felt hopeless and in too much pain to the point she questioned if her life was so pointless after all. It's not easy to become someone else. Maybe Kim Jung Hyun potrayed that very role he has in the drama in the presscon, a coldhearted person. Its not easy to become an angry, coldhearted person. Kim Jung Hyun on his last drama Waikiki had a much more brighter character and he showed it that he can. I hope you also take consideration his point of view.

If you have twitter account you can check even NON-FANS + kdrama lovers account said he was rude.
Again, if you want to make that expression with that excuse about you get too deep into character atleast don't make someone suffers and make someone embarrassed in public like that.

It's weird to see they acting when usually see them sing and dance on stage. But I'm going to watch this drama for Kim Jung Hyun. I like him in drama school 2017 and totally love him in drama Waikiki. He's a great actor.

Do Kyungsoo is not the only good idol in SM that can act lawl Seohyun in Bad Thief, Good Thief was also passable. Nothing to fawn over but not bad either. Also dismissing someone before an episode as even aired is a really bad idea. Not to mention, SJ's Siwon is also a good actor.

Yes, not even Yoona who has been in the industry for quite a while. After Woo Do Hwan's acting put into waste with Joy, it will be Kim Jung Hyun now whose talent will be wasted. I just hope Seohyun agreed to this cause she can pull it off. I just really hope she underwent workshops and trainings for the role.

This role will show how versatile he is. And as for Seohyun, I have seen her in Moon Lovers and she was okay there, she wasn't the lead so I can't judge her acting based on that. But I am totally in with this pairing.

It was reported that Kim Junghyun is considering the male lead. Great choice. He is a rookie actor but have shown versatility from his roles in Rebel and Waikiki. I hope he accepts this futire masterpiece.
As for the female lead, I was kinda meh when I read that Jeon Somin is getting the female lead coz her acting from her previous dramas is kinda bland and the age gap. I'm not sure she fits a melodrama that much. She's good at romcoms. But I've read from some news sites that she declined the offer.
Seohyun is reportedly offered the female lead role after JSM declined. I can already imagine the hate she'll get from the drama viewers as she's a rookie idol actress. As usual, the prejudice. I've watched her in Moon Lovers and she was decent for a rookie actress. She didnt have many scenes but I thought she did well, but not many people agree I guess. I gave her another try in Bad Thief Good Thief as I'm a huge Kim Ji Hoon fan and I was surprised. She fits a funny character well and had great chemistry with Ji Hyun Woo. Surprisingly, she did well on emotional scenes too and I thought she would suit melodramas well.
Anyway, whoever gets cast in the end, I'll be sure to wqtch this drama as I trust in the writer.
