Han Kyeong-Jae (Jung Woo-Sung) is the president of South Korea. He strives for a successful peace treaty between North Korea and USA, which will become the cornerstone of peace on the Korean peninsula. Under a difficult international situation, South Korean president Han Kyeong-Jae, North Korean Leader (Yoo Yeon-Seok) and the U.S. president (Angus Macfadyen) gather for a summit. A coup takes place in North Korea during this time. The coupe is led by Supreme Guard Command Chief (Kwak Do-Won), who opposes the peace treaty. The South Korean president, North Korean leader, and U.S. president are kidnapped and held in a North Korean nuclear submarine.

Haru Sep 07 2025 2:25 pm I'm confused. Why South Korea President has to make peace treaty of USA and North Korea? Cant both of them do it themselves. Only by making USA and NK have peace treaty then there will be peace in Korean Peninsula? What a joke. Both SK and NK can lived together at peace without USA meddling up in the center... USA goverment is the biggest joke. They only use divide and conquer to make gullible Korean "subjugated" to their self-entitled ass.

6. Peace talks and reunification messages delivered via films/dramas like Steel Rain by South Korean media

Louise Sep 21 2020 7:36 pm I like the first movie more than this one. And since Jung woo sung and Kwak do won are really good actors, this movie is not that bad. But I did not enjoy it. The US President in this movie was pretty much like Trump but I didn't like the way he was portrayed in this movie. Too much of a jerk.

Not Disappointed Aug 25 2020 10:45 am Although it's not a sequel, there are reprising actors but have their roles reversed in this second instalment.

If you love politics or naval warfare or watching how a certain comedic american president acts like, this movie is for you.

I love the references of current events like Takeshima Islands Conflict, China - US relations, Japan - US partnership, Soryu & Oyashio class submarines, small insights to North Korean government.

10/10 recommend if you like white house down.
