Pat I love the main lead actors. The story kept me heart ache throughout the drama. Though I love this drama but I would hope to see that they had more happy times for Hye won than her painful both physical and mental by the ppl who love her. At the end, I felt kind of short contentment though I understood that they were destined for each other but I liked to know if they forgave and expressed thier feelings to each other. And the most they could live happily after without manipulating by ppl around them.

Mae Alejandro It was love at first sight when I saw its trailer on GMA (Philippine network), i was in high school that time. But I didnt watch each episode because of my schooling. This is one of my fave series of endless love (the other one is winter sonata). Now Im in my 30's and last year I watched this again and also this year. And I still have the same feelings for this drama. These are some of my comments/opinions about the series: I love the story, i love the idea that the lead girl hearts races for the specific guy when hes near and they always meet on a rainy/ gloomy day. Same on the ending, although I expecting something more. But I accept it because its EL their ending is always like that or "bitin" in our language. hehe Its just tell us that they were really destined for each other. On the characters, SYJ and SSH really did well. They really shows us their emotions thru their eyes, there are romantic scenes that doesnt need for cheesy gestures or lines (no kissing and dragging like we always see this days in the dramas). I also read some comments on other site that they dont like SSH look on this drama but for me its okay. I think they made that look for him to suits his role and contrast to RJ (2nd lead) which is the perfect guy/clean look (yes we all that feels to him too) We call it 2nd lead syndrome. hehe SYJ is so pretty, pure and innocent while HJH character is a bit liberated and immature coz shes the youngest among them. The scenery is beautiful and the music fits well with the drama. Best elements of Endless love series.

AWorkOfBeauty The third in the Four Seasons' Korean dramas, Summer Scent is often considered the weakest drama of the four, but I would disagree and say that all of the Four Seasons' K-dramas are total romantic beauty especially compared to the cliché ridden drivel they put out today based on outlandish plot devices. In all four of these beauties the storylines are simple, romantic, poetic, filled with gorgeous music, about a hero and heroine who undergo great difficulties to finally be together, whether that is on earth or the afterlife (as in the first one). Director Yoon has a gorgeous, unique romanticism that all other Korean dramas lack to the same degree, and that's why all of them stand the test of time. They will be remembered and returned to again and again while today's trite unoriginal K-dramas are forgotten as soon as they bite the dust. Watch the Classics and be charmed.

Katy Tran Agree nonsense storyline

Ann To be honest I could't swallow nothing but Son Ye Jin 's beauty. The script is just a chaotic mess. A nonsense melodrama ... but SYJ had saved everything. Her beauty make me stick my eyes on the screen just to look at her. A shocking, unnormal charm bcs I can't believe that there is a naive and fairy girl like this... OMG. Damn it!!

AJ I love both lead actors, which is why I went back to watch some of their earlier work, and enjoyed the relationship their characters developed in the story. But the characters weaken, and the plot becomes uneven, weighed down, and draggy—could have been cut to 16 eps and a much stronger series. On the other hand, though they waste so much time dragging the last few episodes and end up doing the infamous rushed conclusions in too many KDramas, this conclusion, though I wanted more, is appropriate and positive: it does work. Additionally, there was a lack of imagination in the musical score, playing the Schubert Serenade for 20 hours, so much that I became tired of it. Besides it is NOT our lady’s song anyway. And OMG I’m sick of the screaming, slapping, and blaming in these early KDramas. Love is not a junior high battle (I despised that brat and skipped her scenes; she’s the prototype of the rotten second females in KDrama), nor is love in any way obsessive or possessive. These two have a legal and moral right to their own lives and feelings, unencumbered by the rank meanness and ignorance of the selfish, vicious, superstitious people around them as well as the manipulative writer. Though there is some growth and maturing of the second leads, it is too little, too late. Also, the stupidity about science, medicine, and how the human body actually works is stomach churning. If the issue were a kidney transplant, the story never would have been written, but the writer played into myth and ignorance instead. This isn’t romance; it’s blarney.

Yani It got the summer's atmosphere so well done. Props to the director. He did a real good job with the drama. But I couldn't finish it. I just can't deal with the idea that the foundation of the girl's love was because of another's person's heart.

Janet This is my favorite of the Endless Love series. The songs are unforgettable, the scenery, awesome and the acting was great. Son Ye jin was in her most beautiful here. I liked the ending because it implies that they would be together in the future considering that after the literal change of heart, the passing of time and the crowded place that heartbeat still led them to each other.

Gracious Shereni The movie summer is great it would have been nice if you bring it back

simona the love between Yoo Min-woo and Shim Hye-won lingers in my mind that i watch it the second time and at the end i want to watch a summer scent 2 with some episodes on how they will live ever after. please, make another continuetion of this drama.

AishaKith The first time I saw this drama series, I fell in love with it but I wasn't able to watch itin full..Until,I saw a link on the net where I can watch it.. I fell soin love with this drama series.. Although, the endin was dissatisfying (just my first impression) until I watched it again this week..I finally understood what the writer wants to tell in the ending. Overall, I am giving this drama a 9/10 for there was no kissing scenes for the lead actors, which I believe could add up for the emotion felt while watching it.. I like the chemistry between Son Ye Jin and Song Seung Heun here.. I felt their love all through out of the series, their pain, their sacrifices.. It really made me cry and yeah, I couldn't sleep too for I was dreaming for the next scene or what could happen next haha But,I love this drama a lot... for those who haven't watch it yet, this is worth watching.. ;)

Sundas always loved this drama..the title track "bimil " is worth listening

Excalibunny I've been rooting Hye Won with Jung Jae until around episode 10. I haven't finished the drama (at 13) and I still think their love is so wrong! So selfish and I felt so uncomfortable watch the couple. I know they are surely fated to be soulmate and such and their love is built at the expense of others happiness. I dunno how the drama is going to convince me that their love is right through the rest of the episodes.

Clarkdale44 I said in my previous comment that this show is a masterpiece yes it it but until last episode. I am not going to spoil so.

WARNING: Don't read further if you have yet to watch this drama. It was a great series and i liked both casts because of their superb acting. That feeling i had since the first episode completely destroyed in the last episode. I hated why i watched it. I wasted 20 hours of my life on this. The story was the definition of perfectionism, yet it failed me. Why the hell writer did it i am not getting it. Why the hell Hye-Won had to do another heart transplant surgery?, just to get an artificial heart? You have got to be kidding me!!!

Really man it was a great show but this type of ending made me 5 times depressed and i couldn't sleep that night. I was thinking for alternate ending that whole night. Well year from writer's point of view, writer doesn't wants Hye-Won to be a replacement for Eun-Hye. So he changed her heart with artificial one just be confirm that Hye-Won has genuine feelings for Min-Woo even after changing her heart. Still this destroyed that other feeling, i am sure you understand what i mean. Anyway watch it at your own risk, but i am sure you won't be satisfied with the ending. My rating for this show has changed to 6/10(For great casting and storyline until the last episode)

Kd it seems that not only me unsastified with the ending..so,i just really hope that will be summer scent 2 or another collaboration between seung heun & ye jin in another drama..i'm really hoping that~~

Clarkdale44 Totally heart touching drama, ALL HAIL TO THE SCRIPT WRITER. This story must have dropped from heaven.... It took only 10 minutes of first episode and i was already attached to the drama that i couldn't stop myself from watching it until the end. Story is just mind blowing and unique, This is the first time i ever that i drawn to the drama story such early... When i saw the scene of airport where Yoo Min-Woo and Shim Hye-Won intersected with each other, that was the point i started taking interest.

Casts are well deserved for their roles.., the camera, the direction, the music and the cinematography all are just great. I am just about to burst out of feelings, its way too good... The last time i ever got this excited was the time i finished Winter Sonata, but this is much more than it. I don't have words to explain it. It is classic but i admit classic are the best dramas if story sequence is good. At the end of each episode there is always suspense about what will happen next!!

Ending is satisfying but they could have shown a bit more.. There are no kissing between main couple but the feeling they have for each other is genuine. I went crazy halfway throughout the drama.. I will give it 10/10 no doubt(For superb performance by both leads, great storyline, great OST, great cinematography)

ITS A MASTERPIECE>>

Eun Jung One year ago, I watched my first Korean drama. It was Summer Scent. I was immediately drawn into it by the exquisite landscapes, the beautiful music, and the talented actors, Song Seung-heon and Son Ye-jin. I remember how peaceful the drama felt. I cried many times while watching it. When the ending came, I was very dissatisfied. I wanted more time spent on a happy conclusion for the couple. Over the past three days, in commemoration of the one year anniversary since seeing my first Korean drama, I re-watched Summer Scent. I did not cry at all this time. I still believe the ending is very dissatisfying. The true enjoyment of watching this drama, for me, comes primarily from being able to see Song Seung-heon. I like the sincerity of Song Seung-heon’s acting. Son Ye-jin’s outstanding skill as an actress adds to the great quality of this drama. It is interesting to contemplate the idea that some of a organ donor’s personality may transfer to the recipient of the organ. I detested Ryu Jin’s character most of the time in this drama. I have seen him in other dramas and have liked his character other times. I like Han Ji-hye a great deal. She did a great job in this drama. However, her character, Jung-ah, was a bit pathetic. Jung-ah pursued Min-woo without regard of her own personal pride. She behaved as if her relationship with Min-woo was of a similar caliber as her brother’s with Hye-won. That was ridiculous, since Jung-ah’s love for Min-woo was one-sided. She threw away her longtime friendship with Hye-won because Hye-won spent one stormy night trapped on an island with Min-woo. Her treatment of Hye-won after that event was absurd and extreme because Jung-ah could not stake a claim on Min-woo when Min-woo did not reciprocate Jung-ah’s love. The idea that a person has a right to impose themselves on another just because they like that person is very disrespectful in my perspective. The selfish love displayed by both Jung-jae and Jung-ah lowered my opinion of them. Min-woo and Hye-won, on the other hand, were continually unselfish and kind throughout the drama. I wish that the final scene could have included, at the very least, an embrace by Min-woo and Hye-won. After 20 episodes of tears and pain, it sure would have left me with a warmer feeling. Even so, I like this drama for all the beauty that is in it.

sen Nice Drama. Lead actors acted well. Especially Han ji-hye done her role well

Terry Gordon I like the story and all the actors specially the lead actors very good in acting you can feel the emotion so I really watched the story till the end but I wasn't quite satisfied of the ending/ final scene that they just looked at each other, I mean after all the struggles they've been through and finally be with each other I think passionate kissing scene is not too much to ask. Goodness does it have to end like that " just Staring at each other". I just can't help feeling disappointed. Both roles were mature and yet. To express what I feel in Tagalog " Sobrang nakakainis". I won't end such lovely story just like that.

Th Summer scent is my first korean drama that I felt in love with. I love both SYJ and SSH how they portrayed their characters. Amazing chemistry between them. Both are my favorite actors now. I watched all their works and love all of them. Summer scent has lovely story and beautiful scenery.

Nia love this drama, the story is amazing~♥♥♥
