The lives of four women are drawn into a vortex due to one man.
Doh Jae-Yi (Kim Sun-A) is a famous human rights lawyer who defends the weak. She is actually an ambitious person and she fixes the dirty deeds committed by the mayor of Tongjoo City.
Go Yoo-Na (Oh Yoon-Ah) became involved in a murder case 10 years ago and she fled to the U.S. alone. Now, Go Yoo-Na is married and has a daughter. She is happy with her life, but her daughter goes missing. To find her daughter, Go Yoo-Na returns to Korea and faces the 3 friends who abandoned her 10 years ago.
Ju Yu-Jeong (Shin Eun-Jung) is the chairwoman of an arts foundation. When she was in a moment of difficulty with her life, a man appeared in front of her. An uncomfortable situation took place ahead of her marriage with the man.
Yoon Hae-Mi (Yoo-Sun) is the vice president of Mariana Hotel. She started from the bottom and worked her way to her current position. She is the type of person that if she desires anything she won't stop until she gets what she wants.

Park Min May 01 2024 1:50 pm The story started with a big 'who done it' type of plot where every single person on the screen was a suspect. It kept this momentum for a few episodes before abandoning the idea and the 'masks' plot half way through to shift to something else. There was no coherency in this mess and the writer was improvising the story as the episodes went on. Instead of working on the mystery, it took the lazy way at every corner, it pushed most of the weight onto just showing the incident. It revealed the mystery through the brief snippets of the incident at the beginning of every episode. The character Kang Hoo was in particular problematic to the narrative and was handled poorly throughout. The cast was good but that's it, and the supposed sismance came off as forced more often than not, even during its high moments. The entire drama was a really big mess.
John Tomakin Apr 26 2024 3:46 pm This is by far one of the most Stupid series ive every watch... The characters are so so dumb, and the most stupid and dumb of them all is Choi Gang-Hoo. My God... I cannot swallow how dumb he is, since the start till he died, he's super dumb... This does not deserve to have 16 episode since all of them are dumb. Im so disappointed such a waste of time. Its like watching pethouse season 3 all over again, where writers tried so hard which makes the drama super bad and dumb...
Duh Jun 07 2023 11:51 am Writers are going to be super horrible if they kill choi kang ho. Like what the hell is wrong with these writers? just why to such a nice character? Is this drama like that drama possession or possessive. And why noone in this drama takes their protection like choi kang ho was so careless and why jae yi is so slow to not guess its her dad after song jehyeok murder.

More May 27 2023 7:01 pm There is one more thing yoo na's character is unforgiveable and she deserves her bad fate, she got her friend yoo jung introduced to criminal doo shik withbad intentions as he wanted to f.ck around with elite class girls etc as it was mentioned in earlier episodes abd that she yoona used to work as a pimp for such men bringing rich girls, then she is the one who got hotelier introduced to gigolo and knew he will give her drugs. All of the tragedies were brought to their lives by yoona, even the actress playing yoona always has villainous expressions on.
More May 27 2023 6:54 pm This is what happens when story is only worth 10 episodes and you stretch it to 16 then whole story is ruined and becomes mashed up and every second episode same thing happens to the point you can't differentiate between some episodes, they seem same. Like i can't tell apaft epiosdes 8,9 n 10. Maybe more korean drama makers should learn from other drama producers who are making shows for 12 and 14 episodes and those shows are turning out well because no time is wastes in filler episodes.
It is not to say this show is not good, but since beginning of show things repeat nonstop.

She wants rape evidence,land and everything but doesnt want yoona to get her daughter and wants to kick her out of country. Now when she is cornered she is striking a deal with yoona. Also its very strange why villain guy is after destroying 4 friends? He raped 1, married 2nd, married 3rd.

m.pal May 03 2023 7:48 pm Did you guys lose sympathy for female lead seeing how she treated goo yoo na as a mother of a child in ep 3 and 4. Also go yoo na is weird she can be arrested anytime yet walking around casually. But the way fl threatened go yoo na as if land is only important thing and child and mom are irrelevant she doesn't seem very different from father and other corrupt people in the show. She is also super corrupt and cruel, which makes one uncomfortable as she is shown as the female lead and forced on viewers to sympathize with her.
Secondly, female lead's acting is not working her entire face is frozen, only corners of her lips move little bit when she talks.
Even hae mi and yoo jung aren't as bad people as jae yi. I hope yoona screws her over and she becomes the mayor.
Kdrama Critics May 02 2023 8:58 am I thought this will be a simple story where the four friends just met each other after their horrible past. Im currently watching episode 3 and it already have a lot of twists in the story which makes it exciting and really fun to watch. Some of them are predictable, and some are not. Anyway, I totally recommend this show to anyone who still wonders to watch it or not.
