"Operation Proposal" tells the story of a Kang Bae-Ho (Yoo Seung-Ho) who travels back in time to protect his first love.
Baek-Ho (Yoo Seung-Ho) and Yi-Seul (Park Eun-Bin) have been best friends since they met first time at the age of 8. They attended the same elementary school, middle school and high school. After they graduated from college and went on to work in different fields, they have remained best friends. On February 14, 2012, Yi-Seul gets married to Jin-Won (Lee Hyun-Jin), a high school baseball coach Baek-Ho played for. During the wedding, Baek-Ho is overcome with regret for never expressing his true feelings to Yi-Seul, even though he has had 20 years. Yi-Seul's mother then asks Baek-Ho to carry Yi-Seul's stuff to Jin-Won's car. While carrying the boxes, Baek-Ho drops a box and discovers a letter. The envelope is addressed to Baek-Ho from Yi-Seul. Baek-Ho slips the envelope into his jacket. After the wedding, Baek-Ho walks over to a nearby playground. Baek-Ho sits on a swing and begins to read the letter. The letter was written after they graduated from middle school. Yi-Seul writes that she felt Baek-Ho was a special person from the first time they met and she has liked him since. Baek-Ho feels is overcome with his emotions and wails uncontrollably.
A man (Kim Tae-Hoon) walks over and hands him a handkerchief. The man introduces himself as a "time coordinator". He states that he can control time and space. Baek-Ho, at first, thinks the guy is nuts, but with just a hand gesture the man makes everyone on the playground freeze. Baek-Ho asks the man what he wants from him and the man turns his questions around to ask, "more importantly, what do you want from me?" Baek-Ho tells the man that he wants to go back in time to change his present situation. The next moment, Baek-Ho finds himself in his room with the time conductor. The man gives him a small bottle of liquid and then he disappears. Baek-Ho looks at some old pictures taken with Ye-Seul and notices how sad she looks. He decides that he wants to make her happy. Baek-Ho then drinks the liquid ...

Jug Jug Sep 19 2021 1:26 pm wow! How could Yoo Seung-Ho be great in acting in every drama?! Since young! So wonderful! He's such a good actor in every drama and movie to me. He's a really admiring person. I've started from watching "I'm not a robot" because I need to be relaxed from loads of works. Then "Remember, Memorist, The Emperor: Owner of the Mask, The Magician, Seondal. hahahaha All of these have been watching since August till today. Now I'm watching "Operation proposal" ep.9. I need to post my thought here. I like this drama. It makes me laugh and remind me of the old days. Yoo Seung-Ho is good in acting indeed. When you watch this drama, just think as same as Kang Baek-Ho, in real life some word maybe really hard to speak out to someone, but not that hard and won't make any trouble for you if you have courage. This drama showed us lots of examples that can be happened if you did this and that. I admire the speech and thoughts in this drama. Watch and think, I'm sure you would get something more than just watching a drama for fun. This is another drama I suggest. <3

addam Feb 01 2021 12:11 pm I watched the Japanese version first and then around 2013 i watched this. I forgot how i felt back then but i'm sure this drama doesnt impact me as much as the original. Now i'm watching this and you know what? I wondering how could i even finished this drama back then. Kang Baek Ho is useless and weak af. He doesnt even realize the simplest way to change to future is to say "I Love You". You dont need to be roundabout do this or that. Too much regretting the past. Now i feel sorry for Ham Yi Seul how she ended up with a trash character like him. Don't get me wrong the technical part is great such as the acting, sweet

Dramanoob Apr 21 2020 3:18 am Nowhere as good as the Japanese version. The Japanese version had 11 episodes, with one photo induced time-slip per episode which made for an engaging watch. Compared to that, this was unnecessarily long and boring. Even YSH couldn’t save it.
Abigael Mar 19 2020 10:59 pm I'm back again. So I watched the last episode since I want to finally move on, and I think this drama should have been a movie and not a drama! With all those episodes, those should have been shortened so that in one watch I would've had resolution in my heart and mind because having to watch each episode were really frustrating, which resulted to that previous hate post. Anyway, for those who is still deciding whether or not to watch this drama, I suggest you to watch the first and last episode first then you decide. Have a great day!

Then, I remember Park Eunbi starring in this drama so I tried to watch it, but, arghh!!!! ? shouldn't have watched it! I'm so frustrated with the male lead giving us hope that when he go back in time he will finally have the courage to confess to the female lead, but ended up just trying to patch up all of his mistakes, EVERYTIME! ? If you're given a chance to time travel, you don't take it for granted even for once, and don't think about doing unnecessary things, because every time you're given a chance to go back, you only have to do that ONE THING you should have done a long time ago!!!! ??♀️ Sorry for this mean post but I just have to let my thoughts out for my mind to move on. ?♀️✌️

Kdrama addict Jul 24 2018 6:03 am There is only one important thing for him to do. I was stressed by this drama but I am enjoying at ep5 now. The first time he came back to past, he doesn't need to correct all his misdoing. He just needed to say He "LIKES HER/LOVE HER!!!" Why the hell didn't he figure it out. Only that 1 sentence will change the future. No need to do all those crappy things and trying to give back the efforts she made, just say to her that he loves her also. ?????

kemas Nov 25 2017 2:33 pm I love every touching moments, and every love story here. But I don't really like how it ends. It doesn't fair for the second lead Kwon Jin Won, I really expect that baek ho just went back to the past to fix all his matters, his life to be baseball player and also his friends matter. And also to enjoy his time with his friends especially Yi Seul, and ends up with let Yi Seul with Kwon Jin but with happiness and sincere heart. So he can let her without any disappointment. Yeah but it ends up more beautiful, and maybe i will forget this drama tomorrow instead of maybe i'll spend 1 year to forget this drama if it ends up with the story that I made above. As a man maybe i'll always remember it, but because it ends like this, I really sorry to Jin Won, firstly I hate him but he can let Si Yeul with someone she loves. But overall it's so great. Every romantic scene will always made a scars in my deepest heart.
Hangry Aug 08 2017 4:07 pm I actually did watch the whole drama which is impressive but my conclusion is that I did not like the drama. It was cute and all that but oh my god it was so annoying that everytime he did something that effected Yi Seul negatively he basically went back in time to change that. EVERYTIME. Like if you do something just admit your mistakes or just accept the reality. He kept always doing things to Yi Seul to make their relation work, but let's be real, if she aint want you then give up mate.
I see people say this is a sad drama, best drama or whatever. No there are so many better dramas out there, like descendants of the sun or healer that have actually a good story. People be like EEEAAAHHH for this drama ew stop cringe af

janram May 09 2013 9:24 pm People! prepare your tissue, kleenex, handkerchief etc. This drama is just superb. You'll be in a roller-coaster ride of emotions while watching this. I balled tears, laughed hard got annoyed, felt loved, reminisce my past, and just felt good after seeing this drama. I was hooked on this by just seeing the first episode. It is so good that I finished the whole thing within a day. You may feel that it's dragging and you may get annoyed with the characters. But that's what's good about this drama. You must watch all of it in sequential order, because theres a certain buildup from beginning toward the end. Take my word for it that you'll enjoy this. I'm pretty good in judgement and I feel that this is one drama that didn't get alot of hype, even if it's SO GOOD!

Most of it are from Joseon dynasty but this one is kinda different because it's just from the past of modern person. The most touching moment of this drama is when Kang Baek Ho's confession over videocam was revealed on final episode. More projects to all the casts :-)

Asle Nov 09 2012 10:24 pm I watched this because of Yoo Seung Ho... although i felt that each episodes was very dragging and saddening every time he couldn't change the future... then i realize,,, those scenes were necessary to build up the lost memories....
i love the confession part.... i was watching it in a public place while waiting for my friend and suddenly i realized that i am crying... it was really touching.... it really shocked my friend and thought something happened to me...hahaha...
i felt bad too for coach... he is so sincere and i love his character too..
Good job to all the casts and crew.. i hope you all get good recognition...

Most important thing is the feeling that expressed from his eyes which I feel a bit disappointed from Park Eun Bin. Anyway, I still like it especially the ending part that recovers the audience's feeling satisfactorily.

fixi Jul 16 2012 6:54 pm this version is great too except i dont really like Yi-Seul character in the middle of the drama (i dont know but her reaction towards Baek Ho is just so-so and that sometimes makes me mad). But i like the ending (how Baek Ho got in the accident to reverse Yiseul death and resulted he lost his memory, but recovers it and propose Yiseul) just i prefer if Baek Ho declares his true feeling like Yamapi did in proposal daisakusen (live, face-to-face). What I like the most in this drama is the kissing scene haha.... it makes my hair stand up the way they projected the kiss scene - so deep (especially in the vacation house, it makes me believe they're so deep in love/ yeah if they're really 100% acting only that time without any feeling to each other they makes the great actor) despite their young experience. This is the best kissing scene in kdrama I ever watched (without the bed scene follows-up). hoping both of them will be reunite again in new romantic kdrama.
