Jo Yeon-Joo (Lee Ha-Nee) is a corrupt prosecutor. Due to a case, she loses her memory. She begins to live as daughter-in-law Kang Mi-Na (Lee Ha-Nee) of a chaebol family, who looks just like Jo Yeon-Joo.
Meanwhile, Han Seung-Wook (Lee Sang-Yoon) is the son of a chaebol family. He hasn't gotten over his first love. He gets involved with Jo Yeon-Joo, who lost her memory.

anri Jul 03 2024 5:39 am wow why did i not hear a lot about this drama?? i watched this one becaus eof lee honey since i fell in love in her acting in knight flower but damn jin seyeon's acting is so good!!! i was actually excited everytime she appears in the screen even if she was the antagonist lmao. also, this was my first drama of lee sang yoon and wow he has great chemistry with lee honey and he's super handsome too.
i really enjoyed watching this drama, some may complain about the repetitive flashbacks but i actaully don't mind them at all. it won't overshadow the excellent performance of the actors here, so i hope you guys give it a watch!
10/10 for me!

The story drags on 4 more esp as they have high rating. I think it was covid, so everyone was watching tv and poor story and acting. She really overkill the part.

Park Min Aug 20 2023 10:31 am I was losing my mind by the sheer amount of repeated flashbacks from their past. The exact same sequence of flashbacks was played more than any amount considered to be normal. The doubleganger didn't really have an active role in the drama, you see her once at the beginning and at the end. The chemistry between the leads was quite right. The introduction was interesting enough but once they switched the events to the family it fell apart. There were a handful of members in the family of which none of them were interesting or appealing, which is unfortunate because they occupy most of the runtime. All of them were a copy-paste of the exact bad-rich-scumbag character.
CritiQueen Jul 27 2023 2:22 am This drama has it all: unmatched chemistry from the leads; amazing storyline; fast-paced but with dragging moments sometimes; little to no plot holes; a mixture of rom-com and mystery genre; and such. How the story unfolds from eps 1 to 16 is commendable to the point that you will love every bits of it.

rrrr Feb 13 2023 7:38 am I watched this after finding her interview about her being not fitting into korean so-called "beauty standard".. Korean are so blinded with "fragile woman" with fair skin while hating someone with strong and confident appearance like her..
anyway I'm satisfied with her acting here.. any recommendation of her work that I should watch?

Rawan Nov 20 2022 1:51 am This was such a magnificent drama. The leads had unmatched chemistry, the storyline was consistent and engaging throughout ep 1 to 16. It had the perfect blend of suspense, action, comedy and romance all blended into one kdrama.
I especially liked how the show unfolded with each piece of the puzzle coming nicely together as the episodes progressed. I appreciate that the plot wasn't rushed or muddled with unnecessary scenes.
There were some tiny moments where it dragged, but overall this kdrama was great!

The level of evil, and the fight for good was an interesting contrast. I particularly enjoyed the actor's joint dance and flash portrait of those famous faces - a glittering and wonderfully fitting ending, for all those as well who produced such a fabulous series: congrats to all concerned!! The world needs more great actors like you: let's see you some more too!

Jan 26 2022 7:16 pm It's makjang soap-opera drama involves illegitimate chaebol daughter who is abused by her family and her chaebol in-law family to the point being treated like a maid, savage heir/heiress fights, even the law that sides the riches who paid officials like prosecutors who can let them free for their misdeeds.. however this drama is a fun watch, thanks to our "wonder woman" who fights and kicks asses, making this drama more refreshing and full of laughter

Jo yeonjoo is both funny and badass, and kang mina (kudos to lee hanee for pulling both FL characters perfectly) is elegant but timid, but love her growth at the end when she faced her mother in law.. the bravery of jo yeonjoo that kang mina saw really inspired her to get out from her shell

Oh My Goodness It was worth it every minute! Worth it!!! First half of the 1st ep was quite okay but after that it got just better and better. Now for me it is the one of thebest drama <3 <3

Schein Nov 07 2021 6:28 am Highly recommended. It's just so sad this drama has come to end. I just love how the casts participated in the snail dance just after the epilogue if the final episode. It's just so heartwarming how the casts are behind the scene. Love the main leads and all the other casts. They did give justice for every role they're playing. This drama deserves to be known internationally as how it captured the local audience. Deserved the high ratings!
Lenny Nov 07 2021 3:02 am This was such a fun drama to watch and it has secured a spot in my top 3 dramas. And I've been an avid K-Drama fan for nearly a decade now! I loved how there was no missing plotholes or storylines that made zero sense (I'm looking at you Penthouse 2 & 3). At first it was confusing and each storyline from each of the characters was a little overwhelming but as the story progresses it starts to make so much more sense and they tie everything up neatly. This drama is jam-packed with everything - it has serious undertones, lightheartedness, comedy, action, and just the right amount of romance that isn't shoved down your throat or too cheesy. The pacing of this drama is perfect - it was neither slow or rushed which is so rare and hard to find in Korean dramas.
Anyways Lee Honey and Lee Sang Yoon did such a phenomenal job in their roles. They had thee Perfect Chemisty! I laughed and cried with them. Lee Honey remains amazing and versatile on how she played 2 roles in 1 drama with completely different auras, her character was so bad@ss! I will definitely miss this drama - it was the series I was looking forward to every week. I Highly Highly recommend this drama. You won't regret it! It's popular domestically in Korea, but very underrated globally to international audiences. It honestly deserves more attention

Honey Lee is killing the show, she's really a GREAT actress! She can give off funny vibes and also make you feel sad. I love how she can fight and is a bit outrageous. This show is entertaining. Also, good to see a mature chemistry between the lead characters.

(Spoiler) initially my least favorite character in this drama is han sungwoon, but after eps 11 I started understand why he "acts dumb" most of the time.. he wants to make sure that his sister won't feel threatened of him because of his older brother's death was most likely done by her..

The first kiss was initiated by the drunk Yeon Joo who confessed that she liked Seung Wook. Towards the end of Episode 10, the handsome and dashing Seung Wook in his elegant suit and the beautiful and gorgeous Yeon Jeo in her colourful floral dress met and expressed their feelings for each other. And yes! They sealed their feelings with a sweet and romantic kiss!
Episode 10's epilogue cracked me up! It was the most hilarious part of the Kdrama for sure!

MN exist in this show to create the first love misunderstanding and mystery of disappearance and because she and YJ are doppelganger of each other. I won't be surprised if she will only turn up at the last quarter of the show and maybe help a bit to solve the mystery of the male lead's father death years ago.

I am curious about how the story would turn out. Lee ha nee's character reminds me of hong cha young. hahah both crazy and badass.

I love both lee ha nee both characters, strong yeon joo weak mi na, and the ml looks younger and more handsome with that hair style. Hope yeon joo can avenge to mi na's family in laws as she is mistreated. Mi na such as nice girl when she is young age :D. Stay safe everybody, together we fight covid-19 ^_^
