FanGirl I haven’t watched this drama yet but goodness I have been getting recommended videos of Eugene And Hye Joon Fan made videos on YouTube. Watching those fan made videos, they really need to be in another romantic movie or kdrama again. They have so much onscreen chemistry and it’s not even a rom kdrama. Geez !!

hallyu syndicate @Shelly Heidel different drama, that's still on production

Shelly Heidel Is Bae Seong Woo in this series?

Claire I think this story is more about belief and prinsipal war then about economic crisis... So, you will not see something that usually occurred in this kind of story (like we usually see in the series/movie about economy) such as dramatic approach of financial guru to save economy disaster... Or someone who can see crisis coming and try to sail through the storm... The story in this drama is more intriguing because it is so close to our reality/daily life...in the capitalistic enviroment

Park Min The drama had commitment issues and was quite indecisive in what to make out of this drama. It was swinging between making an economic/political piece supported by human drama and between a human drama themed around economics and politics. This was mostly noticeably around the middle parts. Irrespective of its narrative direction, dramas of this nature are reliant upon the strength and range of their characters, and in this case it was pretty limited in that regard. The four leads did provide that to some extent and had a good dynamic and contrast but that wasn't remotely enough for a drama of this scope. The remainder of the cast felt more or less like a background noise, of which, they were divided into two groups, the selfish ones and the lesser selfish ones.

Regarding the ending, the drama built itself up to a big climax but it never got there. It didn't allow itself to manifest into something greater despite the earlier episodes indicating the exact opposite of that. One last thing, in the last episode they were throwing around new emerging ideas/topics and relevant world news that are related to economics at the time but it was a load of crap! By the way, the title of the drama is kinda cheesy compared to its actual content. Anyway, it's good enough.

L to a Looking forward to see Shim Eun Kyung and Yoo Teo working together again

June I'm rarely commented or review kdrama but here I am watching this masterpiece for 3rd time. I'm not bore watching it because it's so make sense, informative and realistic. But more importantly we've all are thirst of Eugene X HyeJoon chemistry ??? I'm not someone who love rom story I preferably slow paced genre but damn I want them to be together so bad

Fa95 I'm hesitating to continue with this drama. Thing is I had no idea there was a potential romantic story in this show when I started it (I'm on episode 2 right now). But then someone mentioned that there is some romance so I went to check out some fanmade videos and came across yours. Now I'm usually fine with no romance but all these FMVs have me rooting for these two characters. At the same time most people wrote in their reviews that it's almost impossible that hye joon ended up with Eugene han. I'd like to clarify that I'm perfectly fine with open endings where it's sort of left up to us to interpret whether the characters ended up together or not. But if there really is no feeling from hye joon's side I don't think I want to watch this and be disappointed....so basically in short I want to know what's the general take on the two of them? Is there more possibility of hye joon being with Eugene or does she like go soo's character more?

guest this drama's difficult level is like combination of stranger + designated survivor + misaeng...but it's so good it's so interesting to see drama focus on finance and economy only...the casting combination of go soo, lee sungmin, shim eunkyung and lee teoh is literally perfection

Mike If you love finance, you will like this. They dig pretty deep into the world of finance, great story, great actors and actresses, great production. But i smell some hypocrisy from the writing tho, they questioning the US banking cartel, but never mention how screwed up the central banking system are? LoL maybe it get censored? Haha

tim this is a good drama, very good indeed. I can see that why this drama has a low rating, it's too intense and technical, unless you are ready to burn some brain cells watching this, otherwise it's hard to digest, this is like a crash course in economics and finance, but highly recommended. Eugene is charming, I don't think he is a bad person, as a businessman point of view he has to do everything for his business, any businessman would probably do what he does, especially as the man on top of a big business, he needs to make money. I don't think hye-joon and Eugene will be together, their mind set and way of life are too different like north and south, also her family was destroyed by Bahama Bank.

avi want to learn financial while watching drama? then watch this!

ocean We want more! I miss HyeJun and Eugene so bad i'm struggling here

Brie Season 2 plsss!! We need more eugene+hye jun scenes!!

wanda the cast and story are excellent. if only ko soo learns to act - he must have gone to choi junhyuk school of acting...shouting out his lines to intense acting.

bingbing I just wanna say: there is nothing wrong with someone/people having an ambition or become ambitious. Ambition is an important tool that drive us to accomplish our goals. Ambition also will lead us to have a meaningful life. So there is nothing wrong with Heo Jae having an ambition to restructure or renovate the nation economy. For prof.chae...if i were Heo Jae..i also will kill him. Prof chae didn't contribute to the economy growth..but he still act like Mr.Know-it-all...he think he is the smartest person...he cannot accept Heo Jae idea at all..prof chae is a failure economist...

lisa m I don't normally write comments. But wanted to appreciate the excellent script writing and acting. All actors did a fine job but special mention for the 3 lead actors.

But what was unexpected is the romance between the female lead and the villain which is sooo good. HyeJun x Eugene Han. Awesome. It also shows that even criminals (or people with tendency to do bad things) can repent and mellow down if they love someone. Loved all the scenes between the couple.

Yik Season 2 please with same casting!!

I miss HyeJun x Eugene ??

Darlyne Superb actors but too many times of 10second hanging period that it's becoming boring even if the storyline is amazing.

xxx xx On of the best dramas ; good topic , amazing acting , amazing story and best ending. It was a drama with great functioning. Go soo and Lee sung min were amazing , of course the others too . Absolutely I agree with the comment @bingbing

Just L The actors are so good with every micro-expression captured - all the leads and Eugene, of course. The story's tightly controlled. I love Hye-Joon's character: objective yet kind and sympathetic, strong and bold yet true to her fears. Most of all, this small lady has affected at least 2 men in her working life, in ways unexpected. Because of the intensity, it's worth re-watching.

Uland86 I wish next week with spesial episode, for eugene and ms lee,, pleaseeeee,

kumadiary I should post a comment for the sake of the writer & all actors in Money Game, they are all fantastic!!! I'm just an ordinary k-drama fans & economy drama never been my cup of tea. But Money Game keep better and better every episode! You will gradually understand everything thanks to the screenplay & perfect acting from Every. Single. Character!

Plus the unexpected romance between female lead & the villain was surprisingly gooood~~ Dare to watch this drama & prove me wrong if you will falling in love with the sexy villain, Eugene Han, more than the male lead ?

Ann I wish Eugene and ms lee will be together. please!!!!!! Eugene so adorable

ELEA this drama is so interesting and make me fall in love with the villain instead of the main lead, how come you not fall in love with the villain when the villain is eugene han?

bingbing Breathing life into the images is the superb acting of the actors (two thumbs up for actor Lee Sung Min acting, he never dissapoint). Actor Lee Sung Min act as Heo Jae accurately depicts a seemingly approachable man wondering what it is that he is fighting for, the solid presence of a man trying to convince himself it is the right to do. The multidimensional nature of the characters, and the blurred line between good and evil, bring the characters to life, and their interaction (Heo Jae & Chae Yihyun) is a joy to watch...

Ms. L I was curious about how korea's solve their economics problem at first. But then, he came up confidently. Eugene Han. What a real man like most girl dream about. :p. Now, he was the reason why i curious to death bout how this is gonna end. Really wish that director put one or two romantic scene between Han and Ms. Lee :). Gosh, i wish his not a gay.. :D

Yes So intense. Love it. Love Shim eun kyung’s acting!

LoveKdrama The drama really make me confuse either to love or to hate the villain.. Suprerb!!!

Cherrie Very interesting series, worth the time. Just saw episode 11, didn’t see that coming! Redemption arcs for Eugene Han & Heo Jae??

bingbing Reply to @someday in my opinion, the villain character (Heo Jae & Eugene Han) in this drama really stole the show..starting episode 10 we can see the battle is about Heo Jae & Eugene Han...strategy shootout. Every Wednesday I really not focus at work...excited for the episode trailer that release at evening...

Reply to @BalQis We knew Kviewers really love lovey dovey Kdrama..Crash landing on you ratings surpass Goblin...but i really not care about the low ratings..and i believe the writer of this drama also aware the drama she wrote only targeted minority segment.

someday This is the only one that I wait for week by week. It's very great drama and very interesting. I'm afraid that the bad guy like Eugene Han will be more popular than other main leads ..hahaha.

Wahyuni I love money game

BalQis I look forward to every episode. I also don’t understand the low rating. It’s a worth watching drama to me. Everyone have a very strong character. It is a serious drama, that’s why. Rating only goes up for a mellow love story drama. I love ‘Money Game’!!

bingbing The plot..the story line not boring at all..it was very intense..i am one of the viewers who do not see rating as my reference. This drama educate you...i'm not lying...i dare to say this is one of the great drama produced by tvN after Signal and Misaeng. For me Heo Jae is not a murderer..i see him as patriot.. a nation patriot! never trust an assemblymen! Assemblymen njoying luxury lifestyle with people's tax money!

Abyss Honestly, really enjoying it. Every episode ends on a cliffhanger - sometimes it's great to have things that are predictable (the uncle and the backlash hitting Hye Joon) and then the fresh twists (the uncle actually having the guts to reject Eugene's offers).

I also appreciate that the show, even though it's technical, tries not to dumb down. The core is in economics, that can't be watered down for the drama. Still, I'm not complaining about the Hye Joon-Eugene line going on.

Super recommend the show, Money Game fighting!

EugeneHan Why did I act like that to Lee Hye-joon? ^^

Icha I would say this drama brings new genre, all the unpredictable plots, the lines were heavy but attractive, eye opening for new knowledges for those who knows nothing about economic like me.

Nana Eugene Han is falling for Hye Joon, the way he’s hiding behind the plant and follow her secretly is so cute

Ekaww Really good.. But at episode 7/ 8 its tipically korean drama.. Love

qursyeausin very great storyline. rare. the casts are all superb !!! theres a lot of us whos bored n tired of love kdrama???..dis is what we want..something different...out of d box...?????? luv from malaysia ???

Inmyheart, dr The rating is a little low. Maybe it’s related to economics & finance. The overall perception is that the story will have a heavy & complicated storyline. But in all honesty, the story is really good. Maybe for the first 3 episodes, the financial & economics’ jargons used took time for audience to understand but the lead & supporting actors in this drama are truly good. The first 3 episodes were utilised for character & story development. However i assure you that episode 4 was really something. Shim eun kyung was awesome. Her acting experiences had made her wear & consume her role perfectly. It looked like she was a minion in a big & prestigious public organisation to be trampled upon. Looked down upon & discriminated bcos of her background & acad qualifications, she persevered & had a stone/steel like face/expression as a survival facade in the big O. However in ep4, even with faceless expression when facing her predicaments, she drove me to tears... That is what i call ‘good acting’. Lee sung min as expected is always ‘cool good’. I totally expect it from him after watching his superb acting in ‘misaing incomplete’. While Ko Soo & the other casts too simply great. So please dear people....give this a try, give this your time... A rare gem it is.. Money game.....fighting....

Gabriel It not easy to understand...but so interest at the same time... So i still watched this drama...Fighting for all cast and crew

bingbing highly recommended to watch this drama...i knew the topic is an economy..its a complicated topic. But even if you don't like the drama topic you can focus on the casts (lead actors) acting, for me especially Lee Sung Min acting is two thumbs up. His many years experience as supporting actor really shaped him into a credible lead actor. Chairman Heo Jae methods/beliefs seems murky, actually 3 of them have the same goal, to prevent nation from crisis. Episode 3, about labor negotiation...it really describe situation nowdays. In Indonesia the laborers keep force the company to increase wages. And it cause foreign investors leave our country, and build factories in vietnam, which the regulations is flexible and not complicated and the laborers not demanding. So what Chairman Heo Jae said is on point: the company survive so the laborers survive, the company survive the nation economy survive.

This drama i believe has gone through some research...some of the scenes accurately describe an economy nowdays...so please watch this drama and give love to the casts acting.

Andy @CKW you dont know about 1 bank can trigger national crisis, well atleast in my country indonesia there 1 bank make the government bailout it for economic stability and it makes many scandals around it maybe this drama are inspired by that event, the similarty were so freaking same

Sabra Amen @CKW Actually, if you read the plot, the Jungin Bank owns a third of the government shares. This is different to other countries where banks are in competition. It's assumed Jungin has large market power and so with them going into insolvency, a crisis is inevitable.

sphkor Hello everyone!

Any idea what's the title of the opening music used in the series?

baby Am loving this my girl is so independent kudos to shim eun kyung

Nana It’s time for Shim Eun Kyung to shine

Jubin Ommggg Eunkyung hwaiting!!! And drama will be Daebak hit !!naja

Jojo Yoo Teo looks so handsome n charming playing villain role

Gdbj Yess it’s Yoo Teo

Okayokay IM SO EXCITED!! Shim eun kyung is backk!!!

xyz @ ckw .... actually ... yes this is possible.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creditanstalt#First_Republic this bank held around 42% of the industrial stocks of the country. go figure.

and when looking back, can you see the odd similiarities to today? maked me wonder you never heard about it, despite your major

CKW Economy is my forte, but the plot is very ridiculously unrealistic even for fiction. That's not how financial crisis work. 1 bank going in bankruptcy doesn't affect the country oof That made me facepalm tbh

I like the casting at least. But the plot doesn't make me wanna watch this ASAP even though I majored in economics.

Nana Omg! Shim Eun Kyung is back taebak

FancyFree Love the cast, the synopsis seems dry. Time Will Tell.

opeyemi shim eun kyung is back to drama an soo excited
