There is a rock band called "Excellent Souls." The band consists of Lee Min-Ki (Lee Hong-Ki), Kang Hyeok (Park Min-Woo), Yoo Han-Cheol (Lee Si-Un) and Han Ki-Joon (Kwak Dong-Yeon). The band decides to move to the countryside. There, the drama series follows their dreams, loves and friendships.

in this drama Kwak Dong Yeon is almost 30 years old, made the same age as the others. where his actual age at that time was 18 years lol

Ki Joon- Bul Ja couple is the cutest. Also I am quite surprised that Park Jin Joo, Kim Won Hae, and Kim Byung OK sing really well.

Ciepao Feb 13 2021 9:23 am This drama is funny and the characters are good too, the only problem here is they always shout. Like literally every episode in every five minutes. I think almost all the characters keep shouting and it's irritating me that's why I skip some/most scenes and I got bored (but still finished it). In my opinion, this drama would be good to watch and tolerable if they weren't so loud. Every time one of the characters shout, it makes me cringe and give me a somewhat second hand embarrassment.
I'll give this drama a 4/10. The acting is good (except the shouting obviously) and somehow the the music/OST in this drama got me hooked up a little bit. But still, I won't recommend this drama for you to watch.

It's funny, touching, inspiring and you cant help but fall in love with all the characters. The only thing I wish they included, is a kiss scene between Minki and Yoonhee.. just a light smack would do awww.. Spoiler: Coz even Ki Joon and Hanchul had kiss scene..

The Gentlemen is about a group of people getting involved with a small tailorshop that makes high end quality suits, struggling to survive. Nice, warm drama with a very realistic atmosphere.
The Vineyard Man is with Yoon Eun Hye, one year before she had succes with the hitdrama Coffee Prince. The Vineyard Man is about her being a city-girl , who can inherit a vineyard. If she stays on it for a year...

Hina Sep 30 2016 7:23 pm Let me start off by saying that I LOVED Modern Farmer!! ^^ I think this was the funniest k-drama I've watched this far, and as a plus, the drama has Lee Hongki. HOWEVER, I think I know why this k-drama isn't so highly rated. Although this k-drama was hilarious, the storyline is not the strongest. It is unique, but not compelling. Also, the "romance" aspect of this k-drama is lacking in terms of the main roles. You kind of ship the side characters with each other more than the main roles. BUT I do want to say that I loved most of the actors and the characters they played. If you want a really good laugh and you are fine watching a mediocre storyline, you should definitely watch this.

The ending also was great! Very realistic coz not all bands can last in the industry. I'd be too happy if there's season 2. :)

My fave otp is kijoon bulja I always anticipated their scenes together hehehe however this drama gives me laughs and tears, can't wait for many more heartwarming dramas like this!

Haha.. its a light drama just to make you feel good after watching it.

It's not like any drama I've seen before, definitely unique in terms of directing/editing. It's the first time I am watching Lee Hong Ki's Drama, though I know he had some early works. The drama is for all ages who want to appreciate life and see every things an opportunity.
My sister actually suggested this drama to me and was worth it. I had 3 sleepless nights just because of this. I hope there will be a part 2 for this.
All of the artists played their role at their best.
The settings of the drama is quite new and refreshing. The location is really good!!!

I was trying to watch episode 1, not intresting, but I think if I watch more episode I will found a good story. But, hm.. disappointing. The cast Lee Hong-Ki Park Min-Woo Lee Si-Un Kwak Dong-Yeon Lee Ha-NuiLee Min-Ki Kang Hyeok Yoo Han-Cheol Han Ki-Joon Kang Yoon-Hee, was excellent. They were all good everybody in the drama was amazing. The storyline were written very well. I would love to re-watch it from time to time. Lee Hong-Ki is the best leading actor he is very animated facial expressions.
I think everyone and anyone who loves a good Korean Drama should see this drama. It's funny, touching, you can learn something from it. It has so many good side character storylines that is well developed. I like how it all comes together in the end. I hope they do a Modern Farmer 2.

dsfx Apr 05 2015 4:44 am I feel this is the best comedy drama of 2014..this show is fun from start to finish with so many good actors and such nicely carved out characters..i think lee ha nui did a superb job potraying yoon hee..her way of talking,her walk,reactions,clothes are so befitting her role as a village woman..also her chemistry with all the characters is so comfortable and flowing..i think she nailed her role as a noona, a single mother, a village head and a lonely girl..she looks really adorable in her role..also the male leads especially hong ki and ki joon have done a superb job with their varies expressions and reactions..and the village characters are really really entertaining, strange and funny..only I did not like park min woo acting in this series..he looks very uncomfortable in his role ..and when he tries to act cute it looks really weird on him..otherwise its an excellent entertainer series

Each cast members fits well in their roles. There's also a lot of memorable moments in the drama in which made me out of breath while laughing. One of it was the dog licking Han Chul's Nipple. Until now I crack everytime I remember that particular scene. All you /eed in a drama was here. Comedy, Romance, drama and artistic.
This show is worth sharing with families and friends. Kudos Modern Farmers. You gave us a really good crazy show. I romise that I will re-watch this even a hundred times.

It's obvious why this drama didn't get best ratings in Korea. It doesn't include fashionista, idols, and arrogant heirs things. Fighting Hong-ki and all the cast. We, international fans wouldn't mind if you make season 2. With much love from Myanmar.

The sense and the plot is so interesting and all the casts are amazing, really entertaining if you feel so down. Of course, this drama is not suits for those fangirlings looking for melo, chemistry, idol looks and fashionista. Thumb-up, good show!

The only thing that I didn't like was the main couple/main love triangle going on. It was boring and there wasn't any chemistry between the main couple.

Alot of fantastic, crazy, embarrassing scenes which really make me lol. Also some meaningful moments. Love every character. 1 of my best watched dramas so far. Absolutely recommend it, u wont regret
