Bo-Nui (Hwang Jung-Eum) works various part-time jobs to support herself and pay her younger sister's, Bo-Ra (Kim Ji-Min), hospital bills. Her younger sister has been in a coma for the past 2 years because of a car accident. Bo-Ra is also Bo-Nui's only immediate family member as their parents died in a separate car accident. Bo-Nui is a firm believer in fortune tellers after an encounter when her younger sister was first hospitalised. At that time, Bo-Nui was standing right outside of the hospital and crying. A fortune teller (Kim Jong-Goo) came up to her. The fortune teller knew all about her situation without Bo-Nui saying anything. He told her that those around her were all hurt because of her fate. The fortune teller also told Bo-Nui that if she wanted to save her sister she must perform a specific ritual. After performing the ritual, Bo-Nui went back to the hospital and learned her sister has survived, but she is in a vegetative state.
Now, Bo-Ra's condition has worsened and the doctor tells Bo-Nui to give up hope for a recovery. Bo-Nui refuses to give up hope. She turns to the fortune teller for help. The fortune teller tells Bo-Nui that there's only one thing that can save her sister. Bo-Nui must have a one night stand with a man born in 1986 - the year of the tiger.
Meanwhile, Soo-Ho (Ryu Jun-Yeol) is the CEO of Zeze Game Company. He is smart, but also arrogant. On the day he is to give a presentation for a new game, he continually bumps into Bo-Nui in unpleasant ways. Soo-Ho's presentation turns into a complete failure due to trauma from his childhood past and bad code intentionally placed into the game. Later, Soo-Ho again sees Bo-Nui's out in the public, but she is drunk. Bo-Nui grabs Soo-Ho and repeatedly asks him if he was born in the year of the tiger. Soo-Ho tells her that he was born in 1986 - the year of the tiger.

Queenie Sep 23 2024 7:09 pm I loved the ML in this rom com. I saw hime in 1988 and wanted to see more of his acting them but hadn’t seen anything till this rom com. I loved his “immature in love “ character. So fun to watch. Made you want to be just as happy and exited as he was. This character also had enough strong points as well which made him very sexy!!! Enjoyed the FL as well. Feel good romance with happy ending!!!
Park Min Feb 27 2024 9:31 am I was reluctant getting into this drama when I read "the CEO of a top gaming company" in the synopsis. It's like an instant turn off, this kind of setting can always guarantee an unpleasant experience which was somewhat true in this drama too. This aspect of it and anything related to that was its worst part for sure. They went for the superstitions concept for this drama but it ended up being underutilized, as expected. I found the resolution for almost every conflict and point of tension to be quite disappointing. Gary's father, Su Ho's father, the main leads issues, the FL's sister and her superstitions were all given a half-hearted resolution.

And this is my first time seeing him have many dialouges and have charming characters. I hope he would have this kind of character soon in drama (maybe with his gf,hyeri) . And also this is my first time watching Hwang jung eum drama. At first i’m being spectical with her..but suprisingly she is not bad..just i don’t like her wardrobe. Very like old lady. But overall i really love this drama. The ost also.. their chemistry are really good. And i really enjoyed without skip any part of it.

But the plot and the chemistry are awesome. Usually, I hardly finished romcom Kdrama. Yet this one is different and I do enjoyed it ??

underneath the daylight Nov 04 2020 3:19 am wanted to watch this for a long time, then I started to watch the first episode. Didn't like it, I know it's the typical romcom. Cuteness overload but probably not for me. Aaaaaand!! Lee Soo Hyuk and Lee Chung Ah looked good together. I wish they'll be leads in a romantic drama soon!
Anyway, the reason why I wanted to watch this is because of the 4 main leads....as much as I wanted to watch this for them I just can't hehe.

There were parts that I had to replay because I often found myself just looking at his face and missing the subtitle. Lol
Je Soo Ho is just too charming. I wonder how can a man be so cute and manly at the same time.
I also love the way the female lead smiles. The second male lead looks like Won Bin (in my eyes). And Amy... I love her character! Strong, independent and determine.
If you happen to be reading comments so you could decide whether to watch this or not, believe me, it's worth it.
mariabelle Oct 07 2020 11:25 pm Just finished this drama and man, RJY is soo cuteee in here, but I wish HJE didn’t have short hair so both of them will look better together. But one thing I don’t understand, on the last episode, when they broke up and met again at Zeze presentation, so does it mean they didn’t really break up, but making games together and kept in touch? I tried to rewind again but still didn’t find the answer why suddenly they hugged after presentation like they never broke up.
I really like RJY and really wish for him to do more drama series again, not just movies.
Pikula Sep 22 2020 6:00 am Initially I was not into it but gradually it got intresting and sweetly hilarious. Male lead is cute, straight face suits him and that blissful smile. Female lead suffocated me with her supertitious belief however she justified the character to the fullest. But I wonder who was her wardrobe in charge. Looks like advertising roadside charity clothes. She was wearing everything top, dress, skirt Jean's, srug socks n sandals, in one go. I mean that's like walking wardrobe. Apart from her dress I enjoyed everything in the series.

The chemistry of the leads was just so natural and you will fall in love with them. I like how ryu joon yeol act and im in love with him everytime he appears in the screen ohmyghad. Hahahahaha. When will be his next drama anyway. Love to see more romantic side of him?

Hate to say but the main couple is too boring to watch and doesn't have any chemistry at all that I actually ended up fast forwarding a lot of their scenes lol. IDK something's really off. Amy has better chemistry with Soo Ho and Gary. I know this seems so biased but that's what I felt watching this.
hayyyyy May 21 2019 9:26 pm It's my first ryu joon yeol drama. I feel like I'm gonna watch all of his drama. Anw this drama is good, but a lil bit cheezy. But I love something cheezy tho lol. The plot is a lil bit slow for me, it indeed takes time to develop the main couple's love. If you haven't watched this drama, just jump right in, you won't be disappointed, even if sometimes you might be bored.

hhj Jun 02 2018 2:44 am the only thing i admired the most from this drama is the main actor.He was so good at his acting but what's most stressting about this drama is other things except Ryoo .Why all the dramas have so many things in common why they can't be different? main idea and the the idea they wanted us to know was good.How we always hold into sth that makes us can't see anything is scary and so on.What i already said that main idea(concept) i liked it but still there is a hole.I like main actress and i even watched her other dramas but the last episodes.... her acting wasn't that suited at this drama.smiling laughing and cheering... her acting in those scenes seems so fake but still Ryoo was so good what kept me until the end

Ryu Jun Yeol is really a good actor, he portrayed the character so well, the way he talk, he was so cold at first and not care about surrounding but slowly he became so cute and a little bit cringy, yes, but I love him. I don't know if the story is typical but I just enjoy watching it so much, maybe because the actors and actresses here all did so well. Though some plot is predictable but really, it is so enjoyable. I love how je soo ho trying so hard to get shin bo nui and how hard he tried to make her stay with him. RJY portrayed it so well, how je sooho love shim bonui so much, looks fine and relax in front but work real hard behind. And actually I feel bad about gun wook coz he's so sweet. The chemistry between him and bonui so great also, really like brother sister, he cares so much about bonui but of course not more than je soo ho. Also he looks so good with Amy, I think both will make a super duper visual couple. Anyway I really recommend this drama. It's funny, cute, and romantic also. Double thumbs up!!

Angel Zhou Jan 04 2017 12:23 pm I SHIP THEIR DATING STYLE SO MUCH! Both Je Soo Ho and Shim Bo Nui really makes it not cheesy at all, seem lovely, and so believable. Really, Ryu Jun Yeol and Hwang Jung Eum has climbed to be the best of this genre. I love them so much.
The storyline is readable but that's fine since it's a common plot for romance comedy dramas. What makes the difference is how and how long will it draw the spectators' attention eversince the background story has been delivered. For romcoms, after all the background stories been told, most spectators will go bored as they know what will happen after that. But Ryu Jun Yeol deserves the praises as he was the main reason I can't be bored watching this. His cutely funny and funnily cute acts have made me gone nuts <3 <3 <3 <3 .< Korean actors and actresses are indeed professional! <3

qwe123 Nov 14 2016 4:41 pm @CWA I guess it's because glasses are the most obvious way to make a character look dorky, geeky, shy, not pretty/handsome,awkward, withdrawn etc. basically the stereotypical high school unpopular kid/geek image. (usually they use round, thick black-rimmed, plastic glasses) It's just used for that.
When they try to portray someone who is smart, usually they use glasses that have thinner rims and are more colourful/in colours other than black.
(hope my comment explains the glasses thing for you)

I have watch so many actor but he is entering my heart. He is perfect. I really liked this drama. I think the rating had to do with the superstition theme. I enjoyed it. Even thought the end was missing something. Anyway I have a favorite actor to add to my list. Those lips and that voice when he came back from vacation...waaaauw..

But there is one thing I don't understand. (It's kind of a spoiler, so beware reading:)
Most korean men tend to wear glasses (even if they have good eyes) because it nowadays it's a trend and koreans consider it beautiful. Now in this drama finally there is someone who really looked better with glasses (Dal Nim), BUT they treated her as s**t and then suddenly like a model after she got rid of them. Does it make any sense? Or is it such a huge difference between men and women (for koreans)??
thequeen Oct 07 2016 3:32 am @Gina, iam worry that your qualification is out of this world, because this man won Baeksang award for the best new actor. if this is not leading male material, i am worry what happen to one who didnt win. they dont deserve to be an actor then. and if you think he won because of his powerfull agency, then all Cjes actor should easily won in every catagory which did not. this year a lone he cast in 3 big movie with the chungmoro star. just accept this fact or be salty forever. @Evii, surely you skip like 65% of the drama because he's in it in almost 65%. what is the point watching the drama then? lol..

Min ha Aug 26 2016 6:01 am Finished this drama yesterday. Loved it a lot. Eventhough this is rom com but the emotional scenes break my tears.. Loved every scene in this drama. Even plot is a little cliche but liked when they show the main lead ( je su ho) a cool guy and the way he chases bo nui. Differ from some most dramas. Eventually my effectiveness for ryu jun yeol increased. His charms ,ad libs,smile is super duper hot. He is so hot. But the thing I don't understand why on the earth they uploaded the songs very late? When other new dramas the songs are uploaded at the 2nd or 3 rd episode? The oats in this drama is lovely and catching. Gonna support LR .. I'm a little dissatisfied be coz this drama didn't commercialed well. Mostly because it is not in drama fever ''':(

THIS DRAMA MAKES ME SO CRAZY.. can't stop smiling whether it's been a few days since I finished the drama.. the reality, the story, the feeling and joon yeol's expression are just beyond everything !! it feels if anyone stab me with a knife while watching this, it wouldn't be that hurt HAHAHAHA.. it's so hard to move on :( good job for all the staff to make this drama so amazing..... yet I want to say another good things but it would be too long.. Peachy Jul 20 2016 6:13 am Was so IN love with this at the beginning. It was very promising...BUT after episode 10 (or 12 was it?) it got kinda boring...no matter how much charming Soo Ho was. It went downhill from there. Still I've watched till the end...albeit the lack of interest.
Hope to see Ryoo Joon-Yeol in another drama soon! He's amazing.

Please comeback with drama soon...^_^
Dd Jul 18 2016 2:54 pm As this drama went on, I basically stayed to watch for Je Soo Ho. Based on the plot given, I thought he was going to be a typical male kdrama lead who would be frustrating to watch, but Ryoo Joon-yeol gave this character so much charm and made this character really likeable and easy to root for.
Sim Bo-Nui, on the other hand, was downright frustrating. I understand that she was really superstitious and relied on the fortune teller's advice because of what happened in the past. However, despite getting so much assurance from Je Soo Ho that the bad incidents that occurred was not her fault, she still blamed herself and went back to her old self when things get too hard.
The second leads were useless. They didn't really have much to do in the drama. There wasn't much competition because the main leads already knew who they wanted. What a waste of Soo-Hyuk and Chung-Ah's talents.
I did really love Dal-Nim & Ryang-Ha. They were adorable to the very end. ♥

The romance here is amazing. I was just glowing in my heart and squeeing at how gifted Ryoo Joon-Yeol is in transmitting a smitten man.
Watch this for Ryoo Joon-Yeol as Soo Ho, the emotionally cut off tech genius with the troubled family life who falls in love for the first time--a virgin, inept, awkward. He simply grows and glows and makes you utterly believe this man has found his soulmate. He will win you over as he won me.
This guy is an actor to watch. He's magnificent as a romantic lead, with various expressions, great body language, and a mountain of manly charm.
Seriously. Don't miss this guy in this part. Ahhhhhhhh...
(The secondary romance between the sidekicks is fun and silly and cute.)

And i love the epilogue when the fortune teller finally close his bussiness. such a nice drama. waiting for another junyeol work

I would have understood if she was stunned or traumatized & not be able to react but to leave like that is plain stupid. She could have done the leaving monologue after securing that Soo Ho is brought to hospital. poor judgment from writers.

I have been a fan of Hwang Jung-Eum since High Kick 2. Also really like Ryoo Joon-Yeol in Reply 1988. This drama is very entertaining and LMAO. Ryoo Joon-Yeol is really good in this. I watched 10 episodes in a day. Looking forward to catching up.

Although, I cant wait to see Lee Jong Suk on his next drama 'W', i am just not ready to part with RJY and HJE.

Dramaholic Jul 08 2016 3:16 pm People complaining about the clothes, bus it's not the actors choice. Bonui's clothes are choosen carefully because of her character, same with Se ho And the others. I didn't Hear any complaining about the fact that Se Ho always have his shirt only close in the collar but the rest it's open. Sure if I wear it like him in real life people would think I'm silly because of it. There was one ep were the clothes of sim bonui were pretty, she was wearing a purple shirt and a denim skirt, I would love to have it and also the bag from ep 14 with the tiger. Anyway just that as much as other people I also feel weird waching some of their fashion sense but if you take count all the overall of the history it does make sense why they are like that. And there were other character that had extrange clothes as well, like the tennis player one of the episode wear really ugly jacket(just my opinion). And also in the last episode 14 if you think that dress it's ugly take count that it was Se Ho choice for his girlfriend Sim Bonui<3 love the couple!!. The history yes it's predictable but the predictable histories also have their point, She was Pretty was also same kind of romcom because just hearing the plot it was everything very predictable, SPOILER ALERT: childhood friends, changing between the years, they don't know who are now, pretty friend is pretending to be the real childhood friend but sure you would predict that at some point he will discover and bla bla bla.... Still I loved that drama. Cast was amazing and the overall work was also really good, still there she was also having some special clothes sense.same goes for lucky romance. It's amazing to know that most of the clothes that sim bonui is using are actually from Armani !( expensive brand clothes)LOL. And hwang jung eum have Very good sense of fashion, just wacht her Instagram account @jungeum84 . Well I didn't want to write it that long thought, last think, it make me really sad that there is only 2 episodes left T.T. PSD: I hoped to be sim bonui the one who got hit so it make like being her the one who got hit and after feel full of her bad luck for being able to protect se Ho, but yeah man have to save and protect the girl anyway still love How it's going the drama. Aww still remembering the so cute and cheesy moments of the couple !!!!! <3<3 sorry for my bad English -.-

RYJ acted so good like i just saw the real him on je soo ho. The smallest gesture he had, the smile, the akward expression, oh i love them all!!!!. Why people wants a story that complicated? With twisted plot?. I love a simple happy ending story. Life is complicated enough with a lot twisted things happened in it, i don't need that kind of drama to add more twisted feeling.

Lay Jul 07 2016 8:31 am Doesn't really care much with the ratings of this drama because the show itself is a very entertaining to me, I have been smiling almost the entire episodes like hell which I rarely found when I watch other romance-mellow drama, I adore RJY so much since Reply 1988, for the first time in my life I join Intl. fan club for him and believe that he will be Hallyu star in near time, just my own feelings, he may not have a flower boy look but he has the charisma, talent, intensity, and charming side of him which very rarely found in other actor nowadays, however I love this show and roots for a Happy ending BN and JSH, thank you for being such a cute couple which giggling us the entire 16 eps

But thats where the actors/actrice comes in place. They make the drama 10x better!! Waiting for the last three episodes, and I know it WILL be worth it. Its definetely one of my favorite drama.

Can't believe the way Sim Bo-Nui dresses makes a difference for so many people. I think this character has decided she can't enjoy any pleasures in life because of her belief she is bad luck for others. We tend to dress up to feel good about ourselves or to look good for others and even ourselves. She would not have those kind of desires so it stands to reason she dresses like a old fashion school marm. Like throwing a potato sack on and going about your day. I don't necessarily need tension for me to enjoy a good romcom. This show is giving me what I need and I watch other shows for my other needs. Go Lucky Romance.

I don't think I have gotten stomach ache from looking at clothes before but now it has finally happened... I really have no idea how anyone on earth would want to wear a single thing she had to put on, what was that stylist thinking??? And those aprons or whatever they were...Ugh...It is all just too distracting and too uhm....on purpose, if you know what I mean. So much effort was put into making every aspect of her appearance odd and unattractive, it was too fake.

Pammo Jul 05 2016 11:27 pm I just started to watch this drama and marathoned to episode 12. I keep asking myself why I don't like this drama. I finally realized that I spend more than 20% of my thought asking myself -- what is wrong with Jung-Eum clothes choices. She is too pretty to be dressed like a slug. Why would any man have an interest in a woman with zero fashion sense -- but in this drama a tennis star and a CEO are both competing for her affection. If I delete those negative thoughts and pretend the female lead is dressed appropriately for 2016 in an urban corporate environment then the drama has some redeeming appeal. Both male leads are luscious and are acting well and the best bromance in K Drama ever. Would like to give 4 stars but can't overcome the visual so I am giving a low rating.

The costume is not responsibility of the actors or actresses. This is responsibility of Art Direction and, ultimately, of the PD/ General Director. Please, a little bit of common sense. Of course, I want she has better design too, because she, and Bo Nui deserve it. HJE can't stop wearing the clothes that others decide she must using, because she is not the director, she is not the designer, and she is not the costume specialist. She is an actress, and the true actresses and actors go to scenes to do their best performance no matter what. And she is doing it exceptional...as ever she do it.

Ryoo Joon-Yeol is so cool in here, I have never seen anything else he has played in but looks like he will do the lead role great. He is a very good looking man and has a certain charm about him and I think this will lead him to be a super great actor for this part I also like Lee Soo-Hyuk as I saw him play in Cheese in the trap and he did a super job there. I am hoping that each ep will be as good as the first one, as it seems that there are not too many good dramas out there today, not like the ones like "Boys before flowers, I do and others. Some these days seem to drag on and leave a boring spot and I always look for others to watch. If you know of any good ones let me know as I have watched many over the past 3 years.

She really good at delivering emotion through her eyes. I always sob with her when she cry at my screen. For ryu, at first, i dont find him handsome, but now, God, im fangirling so hard over him. Theres just something in the way he act that can pull you in. Im sure this guy will shine more bright in the future. And i heard that he already win baeksang in just 1 year after his debut. Wow. Nevertheless this is not a typical rich guy with trauma poor girl drama. And I am sure if you continue watching the show pass episode 3 you will see Ryu Jun Yeol doing wonders to his character Je Su Ho. I also love the drama because of many realistic elements added into the relationships between Bonui and Suho. If you have time, please definitely do check out the next episodes of the series. About RJY's look, I do agree he doesn't have the typical flower boy appearance. Nevertheless, his look is so relatable, like the nice boybnext door look. Plus his extraordinary acting that makes everyone fall for his character. I am his fan and by no means I am trying to say you should be to. But maybe if you have time do check out some of his acting to see if his charaisma is your type. Cheers

Every single online article has top comments that only mention him and his character, so I think that speaks for itself... and he's always trending after each episode ends. I don't even think that this is about fan bias as people are speculating. Even without being a fan, you have to admit that his character has the most screen presence and is what keeps a good majority of the audience engaged. Yes, a project requires teamwork, but no one is saying that the other actors aren't doing their job. Rather, the scriptwriting is very weak and doesn't emphasize on these other characters so the audience can't help but snub them.
(Also, there's a lot of trolls on this page and people need to stop responding to them... it's really counterproductive.)

I mean, i cant seem to imagine any other actor play Je Su Ho other than him. Never watch RJY drama before (which i think i might start watching R88 after this bc of him), but he has the charm that keep me glued for more while watching each of the episodes. Its insane. I cant even...instant fan right here.
As for the female lead, Im always a fan of HJE ever since i watch her in Secret with Ji Sung.
And oh, i like how this drama always detailed with color, especially how every scene they always make sure there is some mustard color pinch on the screen. Makes the overall scene looks good and pretty. It is now officially my favorite color.

Like teddy bear Nana she got from the street and there's the cameo named Cha Do Hyun, a character from 'Kill Me Heal Me'. Also from drama she was pretty, Zeze factory and The Most HQ are exactly the same :D
I kinda had a crush with LSH now, ugh another new bias... he does look cuter here xD so far I watched 8 eps, and it's 8/10 over all.

He is so spontanious, natural and really captivating. You just can't help to be drawn to him and his feeling. You see everything from his point of view. He was the best actor from the young gen at R88. It's not surprising that he among his peers he was the one who get nominated and won baeksang awards for best new actor. And it's no different here. His comedic antics as a gekky genious nerd is spot on. All that little gestures .... Keep Up that good works RJY ^___^

kurage Jun 16 2016 10:03 am I have to say that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. At first I thought that the hero is not that handsome, but as I was watching the drama, he became very cute lol. And he makes my heart flutters too and I won't mind having a boyfriend like him hehehe. For me, it's the acting skill that will make me feel the hero is attractive or not. I'm not that frivolous person to just like someone just because of his face. There are some instances where I had to give up watching the drama because the lead actor just can't act although he has a handsome or flower boy face.
As for the drama, it is among the best this year for me. I couldn't finish watching DOTS since I got bored (although I love Song Joong Ki), but for Lucky Romance, I keep on anticipating the next episode. Plus, the song by Soyou just fits the drama perfectly. And the chemistry between the leads is perfect. I guess Hwang Jung Eum can really have chemistry will most of the actors she works with.

Eventhough thats not bo gum fault. Lol. It just show how much I fall for RJY. In here, I fall for him again.

And if you're Team Junghwan which was played by Ryoo Joonyeol, you will end up thinking how disappointing the ending was. Sorry but I'm still ship Junghwan and Deoksun over Taek. </3

Ryu Jun Yeol rock! He might not be handsome and charming like other lead actors but he so sexy, cute, adorable, eye candy in his own style.. i have been hooked ! Tbh, he isn't handsome or has any features (no offence to fans of him) but in this drama, WOW im starting to fall for him alr. This drama is a thumbs up for me! Hope the flow of the drama does not erode after the latter episodes. It's worth the investment to watch. Side note: Gary Choi is too charismatic. FIGHTING!

Have you watch episode 5 & 6, he looks so cool and funny in the same time. Hope he will gain his popularity from his talent.

At first I just watch it because I'm a big fan of rom-com dramas/movies but I just caught myself falling for him. He's too adorable that you can't resist to notice him. I very love his sassy and shy character, it really suit him. And just can't deny his chemistry with Hwang Juen Eum they are both great actors that they compliment each other very well. Je Su Ho has been so lonely and the thought of someone having affection for him confuses but also touches him. To find out that Bo Nui has a motive behind her seductive behaviors was enough to break his heart, eventhough nothing really happened between those two. Ryu Joon Yeol's acting was superb. He blows liveliness and uniqueness into all characters he plays. Hats off to him.

The lead actor playing the IT guy who seems a tad on the autistic-spectrum is astoundingly good. He's very talented. His voice, body language, expression, vulnerability mixed with demanding arrogance is so well done. The romance is, natch, gonna be super-rocky, but the two leads have chemistry.Ryoo Joon-Yeol steals every scene (this guy is so good, on top of having real charisma). I normally would be uber-mesmerized by Lee Soo Hyuk and his magical face, but, honestly, I don't even notice him in the scenes with RJY. This guy is a revelation.
Anyway, recommended. It's got funny bits and heartbreaking bits and real sexual tension with the leads. I can't wait to see how this works out.

I dropped reply 1988, because there is 'sad' ending for him, hyeri is with bo gum and I can felt how jung hwan's feel. So I stopped and didnt continue it. I started this drama because of him and jung eum 언니. In this drama, I can laughed when watched his scene. Please, dont judge a book by its cover. This drama is worth to watch and RJY's acting too.

Yes the lead actor is NOT as handsome and feminine as most KDrama leads but he's cute in his own way. Besides, I don't judge the actor, I judge the story and characters. Not sure why I'm into his character, maybe because I'm a geek. As for the main actress, she looks old but very pretty and I like her character a lot. I sympathize with both characters.

I checked the ratings for ep 4 and it was higher than ep 3. :))) There is really great chemistry between the leads. There are so many funny and cute scenes. I LOVE LOVE Ryo Joon Youl acting. They picked RYJ is because his acting skill and he was so popular before because of his acting in Reply 1988. Reply 1988 was so popular in South Korea. And they picked HJE also because her acting skill, she was perfect for comical acting like we have seen before. This is rom-com drama, not thriller, revenge or horror. This is how it supposed to be. The actors already deliver the character in right way. Can we just enjoy this drama just like another rom-com dramas.

But the second half was daebak. Suho is falling in love with Bonui without him realizing. The tiger plot twist got me so excited. Especially when she asked him out. Some think its not all that bad and should be given a chance. Some defend it like a fanatic and does not allow anyone to have a different opinion. Who is right?....Well i believe honest opinions from the majority of the viewers is right and that means not those trolling, fanboy or girls or paid commenter is right. Why? Because honest critiques will win out in the long term. Reason why drama does well is that they continue to innovate and improve. Who and how many people will still buy 1st generation Iphone for normal day use? I mean its so old and functionality wise cannot compete with present technology and functions to suit the times. (except those who are in the antique collection biz or minority). Therefore old plots, overused plot, carbon copy characters that repeats and repeats in the long run will actually stagnate the drama industry not make it better. So i appreciate those that supports a drama but i equally applaud those who are critical of it as long as it is honest and from the actual viewers thamselves because we all win in the long run.

There's a whole cast of side characters that has yet to be explored. However, I can't say I'm not disappointed that they didn't stick with the webtoon concept.

Her mimics, her acting, the way she changes from one character to another is amazing. Don't say she is not good at acting in general, maybe in this drama she couldn't get intot he character because it's new but she is one of the best in Korean Drama industry.

Tammy May 28 2016 6:27 am This drama isn't the best I have seen, but thumbs up for Ryu Jun Yeol's acting. He really potrayed a character there. It is not easy to act as a genius weirdo whose life centers only around work (which in real life not at all attractive) while still has to act cool and charming to female audiences. He delivers Je Suho's weirdness not by what he does but the way he does things. For example, Suho drinks from a straw not by moving the cup near his mouth but leaning his body forward to the cup's position; or suho always buttons up only a few top buttons, which I found super unfashionable but akward and cute as hell. I really think Ryu Jun Yeol is a very talented and fresh actor who blows originality to the character he plays. Will keep watching his work!!!

The two main leads have weak acting: the supporting cast is much more convincing than them. Also, the computer parts are cheasy: browsing folders is not supposed to be advanced computing.

Regardless, this drama looks to be really funny. I don't know Ryoo Joon-Yeol very well yet, so it will be inetersting to see how he interacts with Hwang Jung-Eum. I also really like Lee Soo-Hyuk a lot, I think he's one of the best actors in South Korea today, so I'm pleased that he's in it.
And haters.... don't bash on Hwang Jung-Eum just because she's co-starring with your bias. That's so petty and childish. I saw a really unfair comment on here, calling her ugly. I would like to see how you look, I bet it's nowhere near as beautiful as she is. Those who are ugly themselves are always jealous of those who are prettier.

Ryu joon yeol is not a typical main lead in kdrama but he has a charisma that you can't resist. You won't see his charisma in his photograph or his last film socialphobia but you can find it in reply 1988. He portrays Junghwan character so well. Please try to watch guys, you won't be disappointed.

The problem is that the PD team working on the drama always make her whiny and shrieky because they think it’s funny or cute for some reason. >.> Anyway, she usually has great chemistry with her fellow cast members and is a really sweet, easy-going person on set (from what I’ve heard and seen).
