"Yellow Boots" depicts the revenge of a woman, who lost her family and lover, because of her step-sister.

In February, 2007, Yeon-Hwa (Lee Yu-Ri) is beaten by other prisoners and is sent to the hospital, but at the hospital she escapes as she planned. With her friend's help, Yeon-Hwa gets through a police inspection on the street and arrives at the wedding hall where Yoo-Ra (Yun Ah-Jeong) and Yoon-Jae (Hyun Woo-Sung) are about to marry. Yeon-Hwa and Yoo-Ra, wearing her wedding dress, finally face on the rooftop of the wedding hall.

3 months before that, Yeon-Hwa lived with her younger sister Soo-Ae (Min Ji-Hyun) in a small studio. After Yeon-Hwa begins to work at Jay Cosmetic Company, she dreams to marry her boyfriend Yoon-Jae. Her life is happy, but Yeon-Hwa, who works as an assistant at a make-up art show held by Jay Cosmetic Company, faces her step-sister Yoo-Ra. Yeon-Hwa's mother is married to Yoo-Ra's father.

Wow , . I would never go back to the father of the child. It's too riscky because who knows what he will peifer to do next. Being the last priority in yoon jea life makes me angry about him. It clearly shows what he did to his beloved girlfreind

Tina May 22 2023 6:10 am It was a bit disappointing and too predictable. Honestly, The cast did well. They played their roles amazingly, but the script was a flop. The Law elements were horribly protrayed. (I don't know if the laws in South Korea are that that weak in reality or nonexistent at all).

I loved that someone with a disability got a happily ever after. I don't know why such romance is avoided. This is the first Korean drama I have seen that has shown this and I enjoyed it...It felt genuine.

Yun Ah-Joeng was brilliant. This woman is a talent and so completely underrated. She played her role as Choi Yoo-Ra spectacularly and deserved and award...Wow

The script was horrible. They tried too hard to make you feel sympathy for the female protagonist and her family. I only felt sympathy when her child was taken from the orphanage, all the other times I truly didn't. This is because those situations where avoidable.

Again, some people like these kinds of things, but no one in this planet is that stupid. The script needed work...A lot of it. The roles of the female lead where extremely exaggerated at the being. It was simply too unbelievable and unrealistic...There are nice people in this world, but not overly stupid.

If you're bored and the series is being aired daily in your country, please watch it. 6/10

Deitra Mar 22 2023 9:57 pm Most Korean revenge dramas, at least the ones I’ve seen the people doing revenge never forgive the person that wronged them, they always go all the way in destroying those that destroyed them. Maybe Hollywood does it differently, I don’t know.

lrt Apr 10 2020 10:53 am This is the only drama I've seen that gives the viewer some sweet revenge and not in the hot 5 minutes at the end or the too often ending with acceptance and forgiveness of bad behavior. Lots of twists and turns. Forget the echo's from the set or the terrible hairstyling in places...the script is worth your time and I neeeever got bored, a real page turner. The Kang-Wook story line broke my heart because he really was the rock for all that happened to Yeon-Hwa and deserved some happiness of his own!

Paul Wrightsman Sep 05 2017 6:41 pm Watching this 5 year old drama with minimal interest. My Korean wife is watching avidly. The difference in interest is it's lack of English sub-titles. Viewership of Korean dramas would increase dramatically if they would retro-add English translations. Even the older dramas merit such treatment . . . especially those featuring Lee, Yu-ri!

Malditang Bugay Dec 18 2016 3:28 pm The plot. When I first saw the amount of episodes this drama had, I shivered. I thought “is it really possible for a drama to stay to the plot without becoming too dragged out if it has 108 episodes?” My answer, YES. IT CAN. This is a true masterpiece so don’t hesitate to watch this drama. 108 episodes may be a lot but it is definitely worth it. Every second of it added to the plot and it never felt draggy at all. Every episode had a cliffhanger that led the plot to the next episode. Usually, I skip episodes in long dramas like this, but this one was just the bomb.

But the saddest thing was that choi kang wook died in the end. why ? after all he did he deserved to be with yeon hwa. he was the best and most selfless character . ChiTownMom Jan 24 2016 4:53 pm This drama reminded me a lot of The Scarlet Letter. However, I have to say that Yu Ra is move evil. She says she wants people to love her, but she does despicable things to get what she wants or to cover up. It was VERY hard to watch the first few episodes and see Yeon Hwa be abused but it gets better. And I agree that the ending is more realistic and not that fru-fru fluffy crap holywood puts out. That is the way life can be.

meme Jan 23 2016 2:42 am I love how the ending is sooo realistic n not the fake "I gorgive you" stuff. Everybody even the bf got what yhey deserves! I like how she said she doesn't forgive her n wants her to be tortured, but does pity her at the same time. Wow, in kdrama the lead gurl never ever says that, they would make the lead gurl soo perfect to the point where she says she forgive he other girl. It's a bittersweet endig and I am super excited that she managed to realized that her bf at the begining is not the one, if he is he would've sticked with her until proven innoncent instead he almost narried her step sister. How shameless of him to tell her he'll wait for her at the end. Ts tsk!!!!! Love love the ending!!!! If she ends up w the bf i will probably go nuts!!! Kekek great drama got me from ep 1 intro to the last one.

I'm really upset that she didn't just accept his marriage proposal with the parents... ughhhh, and now knowing that he will marry the step-sister, I'm so frustrated ! I'm not going to know what happens until all the way to the last ep which I believe is ep 108.
