Ahn Nae-Sang runs a special effects company. He has a wife, Yoon Yu-Seon, and two children - a son named Jong-Suk and a daughter named Soo-Jung. Jong-Suk attends high school and is a talented ice hockey player, while Soo-Jung studies abroad. It seems they have nothing to worry about.

Things change on the day Soo-Jung is scheduled to come back to South Korea. Nae-Sang discovers that his friend and vice president of his company has run away with the company's money. Now, Nae-Sang is targeted by various moneylenders. Nae-Sang first picks up his wife Yu-Seon at the massage shop and his son Jong-Suk at a ice hockey game. He then goes to the airport to pick up Soo-Jung. The family then rus away from the moneylenders, but they have no where to go or know what to do.....

Meanwhile, Yu-Seon has two younger brothers Kye-Sang and Ji-Suk.

Kye-Sang is a public health doctor. He used to work at the best hospital, but quit his job due to a conflict with his own beliefs. Ji-Suk is a gym teacher at a high school.

The drama is narrated by Lee Juck who is is proctologist and a friend of Kye-Sang.

Notes

  1. Production Company "Chorok Baem Media" (Green Snake Media) entered into a contract with MBC to produce 120 episodes of High Kick! 3 for the price of 8.7 billion Won ($7.8 million USD) including VAX.[1]
  2. Casting will be held from March through April, 2011.
  3. On August 10, 2011 "High Kick 3" filmed its first scene in New Zealand. The time backdrop for the scene took place in the winter season and that is why the scene was filmed in New Zealand.
  4. "High Kick 3" did its first shooting in South Korea on August 17, 2011. Filming took place at a massage parlor in Kangnam, Seoul. The scene involved a comedic chase scene.
  5. Actor Kim Beom makes a cameo appearance in episode 108 (airs March 8, 2012 in South Korea). Kim Beom first gained popularity after appearing as a regular cast member in the first "High Kick!" series. Kim Beom's appearance for ep. 108 was filmed on March 1-2nd, 2012 and his cameo appearance involves Ahn Soo-Jung (played by Krystal).
  6. "High Kick! 3" will be followed by "Standby " on April 9, 2012

KST Oct 22 2023 7:48 am I watched this sitcom for about 10 months. I just finished watching this today.High kick 3 is really amazing. I found lot of great popular actors and actors here.The stories were really entertaining. Anyway I must mention that season 1 is more entertaining than this. High kick season 1 had more humor than this. Anyhow High kick 3 was also never bored. I will remember this sitcom forever.

Park Min Dec 09 2022 8:00 pm High kick was never good after season 1. This season specifically feels like a re-skin of the past 2 seasons. The jokes, cast archetypes, story, relationships, romances, conclusion and final moments all are similar to its predecessor. As were approaching the last 2 episodes you could feel the writer itching his butt to throw a tragic ending like last season. I would say this season this season is similar to season 2 in terms of quality except the final few episodes from season 2 are absolutely the worst. If you want to just watch one of the seasons then go for season 1 and ignore the rest.

My least fave characters are 3rd NaeSang ... Overhypes and then loses plot time. 2nd SooJung ... Always saying stupid, gets to viewers. 1st JinHee ... People often wonder if her overly cutesy compensates for something, those people are probably like me and her though.

Honorable mention, smack-bang in the middle is SeungYoon.

My fave characters are 3rd JiWon ... JiWon always so good at acting and very mature. 2nd JiSuk ... This guy can makes teaching look easy. 1st Jong Suk ... So moody and so good at comedy!

Hum Ne Se Oh Mar 06 2018 6:50 pm I Just finished watching it, and I loved the show I envoyed watching all the caracters verry Light story the script was not that funny but the happenings were....... Each episode had a fresh little story... verry entertaining. We saw some caracters developping through the episodes and my most memorable expression would be "doungdam'imida". I was Just a little disapointed about the ending 123 épisodes were more thon enough to make a proper ending for every one. I hate comparing but I still think high kick 2 was the Best season of this serie.

maria Oct 28 2016 4:32 am season 3 is ok. season 1 is much better, havent watched season 2 though. but season 3 is still enjoyable. i think i'm the only one who thinks soo jung is annoying, she's too selfish. nae sang is sometimes annoying too, he's too whiny. yet this is still an entertaining watch. i had just reached ep 27, maybe it's still too early to judge the characters

  High kick 1 was the best 10/10, High kick 2 is 8/10, High kick 3 is 5/10.

Anyways I enjoyed them all laughed until my tummy hurts. Yes, that cameo episodes were so much fun and the pole,doggie door, tunnel ideas were just plain hilarious and unique like you nowhere else to see this kind of story. I read the reviews here all the time before starting new drama so I hope my review also help to someone. By the way my favorite character was Crystal here.

MiJin Nov 04 2015 9:37 pm I learned of High Kick because of Krystal, and since I am a huge fan I started to watch it. But later I realized that all the casting was so well done so I kept watching. I fell in love with Lee Jong-Suk in this drama. There are many episodes but it worth it. This sitcom has so much drama and comedy, that its worth it. The plots were amazing too. I personally think this is my favorite sitcom.

Well, good thing that Jong Suk did not pursue his feelings for Ji Won.. Jong Suk being single till the end is Jjang!

Noor Sep 23 2014 1:30 pm Just finished the drama....despite some really annoying episodes like the one on xmas and valentine, the show overall was very enjoyeable. Some characters were quite annoying for me especially kang song youn (I still can't understand what he brings to the show..simply useless) whilst others were great. I typically enjoyed jin hee and my favourite ko young wook..who is by far the best actor ...really impressed me...he was so like in real life although his air time was unfortunatley rather low (not too "good looking" perhaps). I strongly recommend this show for anyone who just want to have some great time without trying too hard in trying to make sense of it alll.....Enjoy!!!!!

didoticious geller May 31 2014 9:25 am The one who casts as the father is so annoying. It is seen that he was trying so hard to look cool and funny. Result: big zero. Upon seeing his face only, we can see an image of an annoying person. So practically, he didn't even have to scream and yelling and kicking and pointed his fist to the wife just to make us get the point that the character in the sitcom was a jerk. He interpreted his role way too much. Well maybe it's his role, but I am sure another actor could do much much better than him, since all he did best was only screaming and shouting. Getting an annoying person as a role is not always have to be by screaming frantically. Other casts were OK, though still so many "screaming sessions" in this sitcom. Last but not least, I wonder why they called this a sitcom. Because it's not funny at all.

The siblings, they are fighting so hard and try to make it looks funny but very disturbing. I love krystal, she is the reason why i want to watch this sitcom but disappointedly her character didn't impress me at once. It turns out that i keep watch this sitcom is because of park ha-sun, seo ji-suk, baek jin-hee and yoon kye-sang. (sorry my english is so ugly).
